Post of the year! Leach getting fired is so perfect. The Senator should change his name to The Cable Guy...no if, ands or butts.....BIG ONES!!!!!

To bad Chris Farley is dead because he could've played ML's lawyer when they make a movie about ML's life. I hate to say this, but I'm with you on this one The Senator. I've seen a lot worse in locker rooms, on the practice fields, during film sessions, etc. Leach is just making an example of James. The team was probably going through the motions at practice and Leach saw James with sunglasses on and he lost his sh*t. No big deal, hell, Jackie Sherrill castrated a freekin bull in front of his team to make a point! It seems pretty obvious that the higher ups at TT do not like Leach and want him gone. I just hope he doesn't get anywhere near OBD! UPDATE.........YOU"RE FIRED!!!!!!!! HAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well AJ and Leach do have something in common after all!

3rd year sophmore is in reference to his football eligibility not his academics. Looks like the gene pool at The Senator's household is lacking as well.

Bills have contacted Charlie Weis

How does what SF and Detroit are doing this year have anything to do with what Martz did when he was there? I said that he doesn't like to run the ball, the facts are the facts. His offenses have been at the bottom in rushing attempts every year that he's been in the league. I don't really know what your rebuttal could be? And here is the difference between Martz and Weis. Weis got canned and 10 teams were on the phone the next day. Martz gets canned and he's in a studio begging for a job that no one wants. -

Taking 3 years of a his career is hardly a sample set, let's see how Martz hasdone since then? In '02 Stl. ranked 30TH RUSH ATT. AND 2ND IN PASS ATT. In '03 Stl. ranked 30th IN RUSH ATT. AND 3RD IN PASS ATT. In '04 Stl ranked 25th IN RUSHES AND 5 IN PASSES In '05 Stl ranked 22nd IN RUSHES AND 4TH IN PASSES In '06 Detroit ranked DEAD LAST IN RUSHES and 7TH IN PASS ATT. In '07 Detroit ranked 31ST IN RUSHES and 9TH IN PASS ATT. In '08 SF ranked 27TH IN RUSHES and 13TH IN PASS ATT. Seems to me he doesn't run the ball very much. Go figure....... -
How do the Bills have 5 wins?

Because there are about 7 good teams in the NFL and the rest suck as bad as we do. -
Bills have contacted Charlie Weis

That is a complete fabrication. Weis had top recruiting classes almost every year he was at ND. Weis got his extension in 2005. His recruiting classes after that were ranked #8 in '06, #8 in '07, #2 in '08, #21 in '09. I love when people come on these boards and just make sh*t up. ND lost because their defense was horrible. Weis hired one of the best college DC's, John Tenuta, and let him run the D. Was he supposed to call offense and defense? I would love to see Weis in here over anybody not named Cowher, Gruden or Homgren and last time I checked they all laughed at the idea. Weis has the relationships to get the right coaches in here (Crennel). We instantly go to the 3-4. He develops QB's better than anyone else in the game. Brady gives him full credit for his success and says that any team would lucky to have him. He would bring discipline that this team needs badly. He would also have a chip on his shoulder and a lot to prove coming to the same division as Belichick. He would be my top choice hands down. -

The difference between Weis and Martz is Weis will adapt to his personell and what the defense is giving him. Martz jams his pass first offense down the teams throat and refuses to run the balll. -
I have a bunch of buddies who need another year or two of college to get a bachelors but I wouldn't say that their potential is unlimited.

WGR postgame listening thread
John Cocktosten replied to bschmoove's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The best way to make The Blandfrog and The Tennis Player go away is to stop listening and don't support their sponsors. Better yet, call their sponsors and tell them you will not be doing business with them because of their affiliation with the two boobs. That or get a Sirius, Howard 100 and 101 play 24/7. -
Unlimited potential? What the hell have you seen that I haven't? The dude plays straight up and down, he makes pozz look like a ballerina! He's had more than enough time to catch up. Orakpo gets his sacks when his hand is on the ground. He plays OLB on 1st and 2nd and DE on 3rd similar to the way Peter Boulware played. Holy friggen excuses! Honestly, I cannot remember another rookie who was taken that high looking so completely lost. RALPH, THE FO HAS TO GO TOO!!!!!!!

The Hypocracy is gross. A player has to wait a year after transferring to another college to play but a coach can leave before the most important game of the year and start recruiting right away for his new school? Obviously it's not Kelly's fault, the system is ass backwards.

It's Official, Clausen Entering The Draft
John Cocktosten replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you can handle the song that is being played on this video, watch the throw around 1:33. A 15 yard out/speed cut in pretty good man coverage and Clausen puts it on a rope and hits his WR in stride. A good friend of mine is a college offensive coordinator and he DVR's all ND games because of Weis and Clausen. He thinks Clausen's mechanics are impeccable and he's also said that his arm strength is unreal. He always talks about his throws to the opposite hash which are much wider in college and says the guy throws em like no one else (below 2:58 should should convince you). He says that he can tell how much confidence he has in his arm because he will make any throw. Watch the throws he makes on this video, the defenders are in their positions but he beats them with his arm strength and accuracy. 2:29 over the middle. 2:43 on the run. Actually, watch the whole video if you have time or any game Clausen played in this year because he's been pretty much perfect. -

I still have no clue why you brought up his size in comparison to Kelly's size. Isn't Edwards 6'4" 225lbs.? You do make a good point by saying that he's the most interesting QB on our roster but thats like saying Colin Powell was the most truthful member of Bush's cabinet. The Packers drafted him because they weren't completely sold on Rodgers or else why the hell would they draft a guy in the 2nd round? It turns out that Rodgers is pretty friggen good but that doesn't mean that Brohm had to be cut. He obviously sucked and despite some reports, the Pack didn't fight all that hard to keep him. http://www.espnmilwaukee.com/includes/blog...mp;post_id=1317 Optimism is great, but to pass on Clausen because we have a pracice squad player would be yet another mistake in a long list of Bills blunders. -

What is with this Brohm optimism? What has he done besides getting picked up off of the Packers practice squad for everyone to get all excited? If he was such a solid prospect, do you think the Packers would have let him walk for zero compensation the year after they burned a 2nd round pick on him? He has similar size to Jim Kelly? ANOTHER GREAT BY POINT THE SENATOR, MAYBE YOU CAN LINK UP A YOUTUBE VIDEO OF HIS WEIGH IN AT THE COMBINE! The fact is, the Bills outlook has become so sad that some fans are pinning their hopes on a QB who no one wanted. Great, sounds like the 2006 FA class who Marv brought it to turn the franchise around. -

I don't know, I can't see anybody passing on Suh at this point. This might be a case where best player trumps need. -

Josh Freeman had a losing record at K State, 5-7 during his last year. Flacco played 1AA. If you said this about Brady Quinn I would agree with you. The difference is Clausen has been highly regarded since his sophmore year of high school. He was also the #1 high school player. So he's been performing at this level for a very long time. If you watched any ND games this year, you'd know his offensive line was absolutely horrible and he had no running game. Despite all of that, he threw for 28 TD's and only 4 int's. He brought his team back game after game and rarely made any mistakes during those comebacks. His biggest problem was that he couldn't play defense. He is young and he had a cocky reputation but he's 21 and by all accounts, he grew up a ton this season and became the team leader. I hate ND but it is impossible not to be a fan of what Clausen did this year. I'd take him over anyone not name Ndamakong Suh. -

Revenue sharing is history in the NFL
John Cocktosten replied to sullim4's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Teams should try to make money but it shouldn't effect the competitive balance of the league. Otherwise, the Cowboys and Skins will go out there and outspend everyone like the Yankees do every year. -

Ironic because Carroll was blackballed from the NFL.
