  1. There are 2 HUGE differences between Mcnabb and Bledsoe, pocket presence and turnovers. McNabb is exactly the type of QB the Bills need. Plus, you make it sound like young QB's are a dime a dozen.
  2. Tebow is a great person who was a great college football player. The hate this guy gets is unreal. He's not the one doing features of himself on College Gameday and Sportscenter. Should he not stay true to himself and his beliefs? I have never seen another athlete, pro or college, who is so revered by his teammates, coaches and fans. Everyone wants athletes to be great people and are shocked when they turn out to be losers. Ya finally get the real deal and everyone trashes him. That being said, the Bills better not draft him.
  3. Again, I was obvioulsy talking about Vick. I'd love to see McNabb wearing #5 Bills jersey. Plus, that would mean Trent is gone!!
  4. I replied to a poster who said that they'd prefer Vick over McNabb. C'Mon Finkle or Einhorn, whatever the hell your name is!
  5. In the past I would agree with you, but Desean Jackson and Brent Celek are two of the best at their positions and Macklin had a solid rookie year as well. Either way, I'd love to have him here. He's only 33 and the way QB's are protected nowadays, he might have another 3-4 years left.
  6. He was a 52% passer 4 years ago when he was a starter and he has more career picks than TDs and you prefer him why? He's also obviously not the same athlete that he once was either and his stregth was running because he couldn't read a defense to save his life.
  7. McNabb can't put a team on his back and win games week in and week out but he is still a top 10 QB. I think the change of scenery will be good for him too. Plus, he's it when it comes to options at QB via free agency/trade. Otherwise, we are going with a journeyman or a rookie and that never works out unless you have a great defense and supporting offensive cast. He's got 2 maybe 3 solid years left in him and he would be the leader that the Bills desperately need.
  8. Do you really think someone who plays at 350 is going to feel a 20lb difference? There is also something else called "program" weight. College players are always listed taller/lighter/heavier than they actuallly are. Again, look at the 3-4 NT's, they are all enormously fat. They are 2 gap tackles who have to hold up agaisnt consistent double teams by two 300+ O lineman! Jeff Wright looked great with his shirt off but couldn't bring down a 200lb back let alone take on a double team.
  9. You know what KO, I think with some fans it was where he was selected. But you said it, you just have to watch the games to realized that he's just not that good. In order for me it would be: 1. His lackluster play 2. His big mouth 3. That play vs the Raiders where he tackled that WR in the endzone after taking yet another terrible angle
  10. If you don't think Poz/Schobel/Kelsay takes heat on this board than you must not read it very much. It sounded like the "image" that you are talking about is a black or white thing? If thats the case, DW would suck if he was purple. McGahee deserved everything he got, he was another big mouth proclaiming he was the best back in the league and pumped out mediocre seasons and has been reduced to a role player in Baltimore. Lynch was beloved by fans when he got here. The stadium erupted when he touched the ball. But he's gotten himself in trouble off of the field way to often and hurt the team by getting suspended this year because he wanted to play Boyz in the Hood again. Here's the difference between DW and Byrd...instincts. Byrd knows where that ball is going and shows up before it gets there. DW, watches the reciever catch it and then takes a bad angle to make the tackle.
  11. Dude thats nothing, I put on 12 lbs on my honeymoon. He's a true NT. Last time I checked, Ted Washington, Casey Hampton, Vince Wolfork and Sean Rodgers aren't swimsuit models. If we are gong to switch to a 3-4, he's the most important piece to that puzzle.
  12. Your man love for DW is clouding your already ridiculous judgement. DW has been average and regardless of injury, the Bills coaches know that he is a liability around the line of scrimmage and in coverage. He routinely takes bad angles and is hardly a sure tackler. The lack of any any kind of impact plays is stunning. He's been on the field for over a thousand passes in his career and has gotten his hands on the ball, either with an INT (4) or pass deflections, ONLY 16 TIMES! Byrd had 9 INT's and 11 PD's in his rookie year and he only played in 13 games!!! DW is a blow-hard who does all of his work off of the field and now, because of his poor play, he is on the sidelines.
  13. You are such a sucker, they've had this letter template on file for 10 years now!
  14. I'm not a big fan of Kelsay but he would be a much more effective 5 technique in a 3-4. He's strong enough at the point of attack to hold up and he could easily put on another 10-15lbs. If we stay with the 4-3, see ya Kelsay!
  15. The Nascar neckwarmer, the 7, the Wisconsin waterfall and the neck curtain. That guy freekin rules!
  16. Comparing your job to the inner workings of an NFL football team is pretty much ludicrous.
  17. No other NFL teams wanted Nix. He's 70 years old and he just got his first GM job. I know what you're thinking, Ralph is that much smarter than everybody else. So by your Maybin logic, Mccargo isn't a bust? You are Ralph Wilson's dream fan.
  18. The only thing freakish about Wood was his leg injury. But to insinuate that he was some kind of road grader is typical Bills fan insanity. A lot of players have potential, hell Hardy has potential but let's see what happens before you annoint this draft class a great one.
  19. So you're quoting an article from Reuters? "Long regarded as one of the beat evaluators of talent in the league, Nix served as assistant general manager of the San Diego Chargers from 2003 to 2008. What the hell is a beat evaluator?
  20. Im glad that you think he is one of the top 5 talent evaluators in the league, that should make us all sleep better. The Bills took Maybin at #11 so I don't care what you think of picks 2-7. Other than Byrd, everyone played like a rookie. Except for Maybin, he payed like he was in high school.
  21. I was on the fence about Edwards to start the season but who would've thought that he'd be cut after this season! Watching the Sand Diego game two years ago when he came off of that concussion made me believe, even through the Cleveland meltdown on Monday Night, that he could at the very least be decent. But this season it became obvious, he is just not that good. Oh well, my college coach said that you can't hate a guy for sucking if he tries hard. So long Trent, may you avoid concussions in all of your future endeavors.
  22. I read your post. You said that the fans should enjoy losing. Well there is losing and then there is being totally lost. Sitting through a Bills games and watching the complete incompetence is not like a 34-31 loss where both teams played great and on that day the better team won. Year after year this team gets worse and the way they go about it is totally embarassing. Calling fans ignorant for ridiculing the Bills is ignorant in itself. Your CHOSEN profession tells you to keep in a straight line and keep your mouth shut. I have never and will never subscribe to that mentality and I don't feel the need to credential what I do for a living. So while you are entitled to your opinion, I find your "rose colored glasses" attitude a thousand times more offensive than someone pointing out the fact that the Bills suck in a negative tone. When a team loses through complacency, it will constantly search for new and more intricate explanations to explain away defeat. -Pat Riley
