  1. They don't have a running game and Pryor can't pass to win. When both of those things went wrong last year they either lost or struggled vs much lesser opponents (Navy,Purdue, Mich) They have Wisconsin and Iowa on the road. Miami is going to go in there and beat them by 10.
  2. A much needed break from the same old threads about the same players, same takes from TBD'ers (guilty) and a little draft prep for the 2011. NC Game: Bama vs The U - One name....Saban. Miami's year is 2012! Heisman: 1. Jacory Harris 2. Noel Devine 3. Josh Brantly 4. Mark Ingram 5. Matt Barkley -I keep reading the Pryor hype, let me tell you, he blows. The guy's completion % was worse than it was during his TRF year (55%%). Everyone talks about his bowl performance but if you look at the regular season, he was terrible! He is the most hyped piece of crap since Ron Pawlus Suprise Team: USC- they may go undefeated, Wisconsin - Big 10 Champs, Miami - Everyone is picking them around 13th nationally but if they can stay healthy, they have as much talent as any team in the country and they are in the NC game. Overrated Teams: Iowa, Penn St, Ohio St. and every team from the Big 10 NOT NAMED Wisconsin and Texas. Top pick in next year's draft: Andrew Luck Buffalo Bills pick: Andrew Luck (trade up of course ) There is nothing like Saturdays in the fall! Predictions please!
  3. Because he wants to get paid and the Bills don't think that you need to pay LT's.
  4. What did he say that was so bad? Do you think blocking is as easy putting your elbows out like the vibrating football players? He was basically a WR in college and did very little in line blocking so he's still learning in what is only his second year. Most TE's struggle with blocking when they come out of college. Why do you think two all americans like Chase Coffman and Martin Rucker have failed...because they don't know how to block! Mizzou had them split out every play! They were blocking corners and safeties not 275 lb DE's! Running fast has nothing to do with blocking, it's all about technique and that's why guys like Brandon Malamuiuna and Reggie Kelley stick around the league for so long, because there are few TE's out there who can block!
  5. Give em Brohm, It's destiny...it also goes to show you what McShay knows about the draft. Give it a read, it's hilarious! February 6, 2008 McShay predicts Bears will draft QB Brohm at No. 14 By: By Larry Mayer | Last Updated: 2/6/2008 3:20 PM LAKE FOREST, Ill. – In his latest mock draft released Tuesday, ESPN.com’s Todd McShay predicts that the Bears will select Louisville quarterback Brian Brohm with the 14th overall pick in the NFL Draft. “The Bears will have a tough decision to make if Brohm still is available at No. 14,” McShay writes. “There has been a lot of talk about the Bears going in a different direction with this pick, including offensive and defensive tackle. And while that makes a lot of sense, I still wouldn't rule out Brohm just yet. "His stock is likely to soar between now and April's draft because he should impress scouts with his overall passing efficiency and football intelligence during the combine and individual workouts.” In his previous mock draft, McShay had predicted that the Bears would choose Andre Woodson at No. 14. But McShay has since dropped the Kentucky quarterback out of the first round. Among the players still on the board at No. 14 in McShay’s mock draft are USC tackle Sam Baker, Illinois running back Rashard Mendenhall, Pittsburgh tackle Jeffrey Otah and Oregon running back Jonathan Stewart. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=4347
  6. He's Bledsoe 2.0. Serious arm but not athletic at all. His stats are also misleading. He threw for 16 TD's in 8 SEC gaems last year. 10 of the 16 came against UGA and Miss St. In games against Bama, Florida, LSU, Auburn, South Car and Ole Miss he threw for a total of 6 TD's. He dominated inferior competition and played OK against the Big Boys. I do think he's a good QB, but I don't think he's in the same class as Locker or Luck or even Clausen.
  7. What have been the Bills biggest problems over the last 10 years on the field? In order, I'd say QB's, OLine and Pass rush. It's been a long time since the Bills didn't have a good RB. Travis Henry, Willis, Marshawn and Freddy are all very good. Look at the teams who consistantly win, Colts, NO, Eagles, Arizona, Pittsburgh (over the last 4 years), New England, Cowboys, Ravens. None of them have great RB's. Some have platoons, some have average RB's, some have versatile RB's but none of them have a RB who was picked high (Bush, but he's not a feature). They know that RB's are a dime a dozen, Shannahan proven that year after year. Who are the last teams to win a SB with a truly great RB......the Rams in 2000 and Denver in '98-99. They also had All Time Great QB's (Warner, Elway), All Time Great LT's (Pace and Zimmerman) and very good Olines. I'm not saying that you don't need a great running game, you just don't need a great RB.
  8. Maurice Jones-Drew,Fred Jackson, Frank Gore, Ray Rice, Michael Turner, Shonn Greene, Ryan Grant, Jammal Charles,Brandon Jacobs, Darren Sproles, Matt Forte, Marion Barber, Shady McCoy and Pierre Thomas think the Bills should've addressed LT, QB or Pass rusher first. Chris Johnson and Steven Jackson were selected 24th in the 1st round. Deangelo Williams was selected 27th. Thomas Jones is a journeyman free agent. Cedric Benson was a castaway. Ricky Williams castaway. Cadalac Williams, Reggie Bush, Marshawn, McFadden and Ronnie brown were all selected high in the first round......how are they working out? Litterally the only high RB taken high who's had success lately is Adrian Peterson. Spiller is a very exciting player for sure, but is he going to be Reggie Bush or Marshall Faulk? Can he carry the load for a full season? Then why draft him with the 9th pick! As much as I like Spiller, the pick will never make sense to me.
  9. "take off that dress and throw it long" I always thought that song was gay. Now it's even gayer and hilarious too!
  10. The Girly man is devoid of bi's and tri's. Kinda has a Hanz and Franz tone to it, that's all.
  11. I'll tell you what, we'll get together and compare college careers...I bet I win. I'm serious about this too...PM me and I'll even buy ya a drink while we're out
  12. The thing about Maybin is that he's not a football player, he's an athlete. He has no technique, he doesn't use his hands well at all, he offers no counter moves, he's soft at the point of attack, he plays out of control and shows no instincts for the game. I've played with a bunch of guys like him. Shirts off, on the bench and running gassers they look great. Engaged with a lineman, they are flat-footed and clueless. I just don't see anything out of him that flashes instinct or true football ability.
  13. Watch it again. He looks Lee's way at the top of his drop and doesn't pull the trigger. Then he moves around to buy some time (nice) but he makes the same mistake that he makes all of the time, he throws LATE. Anyone who knows the QB position will say that you don't throw that ball because CB's are taught to bait that throw. Bottom line is if he didn't see Lee breaking back, he should've thrown it away. 4 years later, same mistakes.
  14. Expecting anything out of a rookie QB who was a 7th round pick is pure desperation. I agree with you on Trent, I said he would not make this team and he did nothing to disprove that last night. Give Brohm a shot to play for the season. I expect him to suck too but at least we don't know that for sure. What we do know is that Trent is not a good QB and he never will be. I don't care what Bill Walsh said, I don't care how he looked 3 years ago or before the concussion. He needs to go and if Brohm sucks too, bench him and put in Levi for the last few games of the season.
  15. The talent on this team is concentrated to a few positions....RB, DL and 2ndary. There are huge holes at QB, LT/RT, WR (even though I like S. Johnson and Lee) and OLB/MLB. If you're looking for different results out of bad players like Trent, Maybin, Merideth/Bell and Hardy then you are very mistaken. Chan is a good coach, not a miracle worker. The Bills problems from last year looked exactly the same last night. Horrible QB play, bad protection and no pass rush (against the 1st and 2nd stringers). The run defense did look improved.
  16. Agreed on the Lee front but that ball would have been picked either way.
  17. The bottom line is that he ooks the part in pads and in camp but he's just not a good QB. QB 101, don't throw the ball to the outside when you break contain. 4 years later Trent doesn't get it. In the Panthers game the other night Clausen made some great throws. Rosario wasn't open, Clausen threw the ball to where he anticipated him down the middle between the LB's and S's and put it right in his chest 20 yards downfield. He hit a WR over the middle on a dig pattern, the guy was covered but Clausen pulled the trigger and the WR came down with it for a big gain. Those are 2 throws Trent has yet to make in his career and 2 throws Clausen makes in his first game. That pick is going to make Nix look very stupid...unless Troupe is the next Ted Washington.
  18. I'm not saying that you're blaming Evans for that pick but that was all on Trent. Trent's biggest problem is not pulling the trigger in tight spots. He had plenty of time in the pocket and Lee ran some sort of speed cut. Trent DOES NOT THROW AT THE TOP OF HIS DROP, he moves out of the pocket, Lee IS sitting and waiting, but the ball should've never been thrown in the first place because the CB was sitting on the route at that point. DB's are taught that once a QB breaks the pocket, to sit on WR's on the sidelines. You see it all of the time. After 4 years in the NFL, Trent's picks all look the same. Late throw after late throw! He either doesn't trust his arm or he will never understand that a QB must throw with anticipation. Trent just doesn't do that. He also missed a wide open Johnson the play before. Johnson had at leat 4 steps on Rodgers and what does Trent do? Wait until he's cleared everyone and overthrows him by 10 yards instead anticipating the route and getting the ball in the air sooner. Guys, this IS TRENT EDWARDS. If it's not short passes, it's hesitation and bad decisions follow.
  19. Am I taking out my frustration on you? By stating the obvious? You're a little too sensitive dog. Sorry that your feelings are hurt bud.
