Kelsay playing "fairly well" is like going from awful to just a complete liability. Offenses know where Kelsay is and they are going to get him in space against TE's and Rb's all day. Lawson, while certainly an underachiever, is a very good athlete. He does get after the QB. Everyone loves to use football focus so here ya go. Lawson is in some elite company. So if you think Batten, Coleman and crew are better options than you would just be wrong. Good teams have depth beyond unproven players and are not afraid to dump 3 million on a player. So are you saying Kelsey, Maybin, Coleman and Batten do know how? My point is to create some competition with experienced players. Not SOLEY undrafted, D2 long shots and overwhelming busts. Sometimes the Bills defenders on this board get so caught up in defending that they don't read through the posts.

Both of those guys are long shots to say the least. Both of those guys are transitioning from DE in college. That's my point though, why not bring in experienced 3-4 olb's?

That's the problem right there. Inability to provide any type of pass rush, cover and change direction killed this team last year. Not to mention his complete lack of insticnt for the position. So why does he deserve a raise at all? Why not bring in other underachievers to at least compete? Who is his competition? Coleman- An undrafterd 2nd year player who showed nothing last year. Batten- a 6th rounder out of a D2 school who was injured last year. Merriman- I like taking the chance but 4 straight years without any type of production. Maybin- Seriously? Great! IMO, this is Buddy's biggest flop up until this point and there has been a few in his short tenure. There is no one on this team to provide a consistent pass rush from the outside and the Bills are in a division with one of the best QB's of all time.

Like Tight Ends, pass rushers don't fit into the Bills schemes.

Anyone who only wants to hear a like minded opinion is a little one dimensional for me. It's the same reason that I won't listen to only Rush or only someone like Randy Rhodes. I want to hear both sides of the story, cut through the BS and make up my own mind. And frankly, I can't imagine being an adult an announcing to the board that they are officially on my "ignore list". I will say this Rico, it seems less and less Pollys populate this site every year. The ones who are still here are the most ardent of "fans" so it feels multiplied. It's always great to get a Rico sighting though. My signature says it all, no truer words have ever been spoken on this board.

That's funny as hell! He played at USC and they run multiple defenses. He'd be fine and he's a much better LB than any on the roster. We won't get him though.

I remember the TE from UNC dropping two passes in the endzone on the final two plays last year against LSU. I'd be surprised if Tuau doesn't make the team. Played in the Pistol, runs hard and can catch. Solid RB.

I think it was Dave McBride who said a while back that Bills fans suffer from a sort of Stockholm Syndrome in where the talent around OBD has been so bad that we start to fall in love with mediocrity. See Donte Whitner as an example.
