  1. Poor timing but completely true. The 2010 class is shaping up to be a Marv Levy special. That being said, Fitz, Freddy, Stevie, KW, Levitre, Wood, Wilson, Scott were all great draft picks/FAs....wait a second, they were already here!
  2. I needed a new signature, thanks! So the Bills can't rush the QB or play the run very well. Are you saying that they wouldn't be better with Osi's 11.5 sacks and his 10 FFs from last year? Makes sense Simon. Kelsay and Merriman 2010 + 2011: 4.5 sacks and 1 FF. But Osi wouldn't fit!
  3. It has nothing to do with how good or bad the Bengals are. The Bills blew a 17-3 halftime lead and let them drive the length of the field to kick the game winning FG.
  4. You tell me what this means? I can't wait for the explanation
  5. I'm not sure the Bills are building for a 3-4. They are in a 43 most of the time and the Merriman experiment doesn't seem to be a long term fit. That leaves Batten, Moats and Kelsay as the depth for the future. So unless the Bills go OLB x 3 in next years draft, I expect them to a 43 hybrid team for a while. Plus, KW and Dareus are natural 3 techs. If you don't want to take my word for it, take Warren Sapps (he might know a thing or two about the position) or Mike Mayhock who both have said that on multiple occasions. So if Osi isn't the greatest run defender, neither is Kelsay or Merriman! But you know what he does do, get after the QB (2 sacks today). And that is what this team needs. Plus if you improve the pass rush, you can drop a safety down in the box more consistantly to help the rush D. Like I said before, I wouldn't give up a ton for him but if he's still available, I'd see what it takes. Calling him the same player as Kelsay in asinine...but that's Simon being Simon.
  6. Try watching the games. The Bills are in a 43 the majority of the time. Plus nickel and dime packages. But go on... That's not what you said, you said Osi was the same guy Kelsay is. They are not even close to the same players. He would instantly upgrade the Bils pass rush. I said if he's available for the right price, go get him. Do I think Buddy will do it? No. It's gonna be a long season if the Bills are letting guys like Campbell and Dalton sit in the pocket and throw for 300. Osi wouldn't have looked good on the final drive when Kelsay and Merriman are playing patty cake with the OTs. 0 sacks for Kelsay in 4 games this year. 2 sack for Osi in his first game back. Same player though.
  7. Kelsay: 12.5 sacks 2007-2011. 25 sacks and 6 FF for his career Osi- 11.5 sacks in 2010. 60 sacks and 28 FF for his career. Actually, it's 61 because Osi had a sack today. If you think that they're the same player I'm gonna guess you are drinking again. Williams and Dareus were collapsing the pocket all day today. If the Bills had an edge rusher like Osi, they would have had multile sacks today. HA! OSI JUST GOT ANOTHER SACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats 2 and it;s his first game. Quit being ridiculous.
  8. Shhhhh...don't say that, you'll be slayed by the "16 and 0ers".
  9. The play that I've been waiting to see is a jet sweep out of the wildcat with Smith/Spiller. Spiller has shown the ability to get to the edge so why not use it? When you establish that in your offense you can mix it up with a little play action and hit one long. It's hard to doubt Gailey but Fitz didn't have it today so why not switch it up?
  10. The defense is starting to look like a Dicky J defense. Bend, don't break. No outside pressure at all.
  11. I'm trying to figure out if he's one of those big powerful run stuffing DEs that Simon is talking about.
  12. Those big powerful DEs aren't sniffing the QB. For the 3rd week in a row a QB sat in the pocket and torched us. Btw, who are these big powerful DEs that you speak of? Merriman is playing more DE than LB and Kelsay is well....Kelsay. If you can get Osi for a 4th, do it in a heartbeat. I'm not saying Osi would be great but he would be the edge rusher on this team right away. Another thing Simon, our DEs lost contain about 100 times today. So that "attacking" the groung game ain't working either.
  13. Bengals took away everything in the middle and forced Fitz to make throws to the hashes. This is not his strength. He gets a bit lazy with his mechanics sometimes too. Not sure why they aren't using Brad Smith. Seems like today would have been the perfect week. Gailey wanted a waterbug and a utility player and never uses them.
  14. Not sure that I love Chandler out there on all special teams. He goes down, who's up next?
  15. Mcelvin is keeping up with Bills first round tradition.
  16. No but we should all come to grips with the fact that he will never be much more than reggie bush.
  17. Stop it Kelly, GMs and coaches want a guy to play and have an impact immediately. Life is to short in the NFL. Buddy would tell you himself that the pick wasn't his best.
  18. The Bills needed an impact player with that pick. They got a guy who just scored his first rushing TD in his 18th NFL game. You can spin it any way that you want, it was a bad pick. It would still be a bad pick if CJ was starting and performing. How about the rest of the draft? How's that working out? Chan and Fitz are the reason why this team is sitting at 3-0. Chan built his offense to beat the 3-4 and Fitz gets the ball out of his hand quickly so the O line looks good.
  19. So you're saying that as good as Freddy is, Buddy needed to pick Spiller 9 overall? Come on PTR, you can't even believe that one!
  20. Everyone who picks against the Bills is the worst until they pick the Bills to win again. Then they are the best.
