  1. Hard to get on a guy who hasn't played ball in a year and is in a new offense. Didn't help that he came in when they were down by 21 and McFadden was out either. That being said, I don't like the trade. It will end badly which is great because they have some serious talent.
  2. And you would defend the Bills if they signed Jeff George. If you call me starting posts in the preseason saying that the Bills will lack a pass rush this year a doom and gloom post then I guess I'm guilty. I've criticized Buddy's first draft....am I wrong? I've also been a huge fan of Gailey since the beginning and said Fred Jackson wasn't whining and that he's been underrated since the day he got here. I'm way more balanced than you Pollyannas. The problem is that you don't take off your rose colored glasses long enough to actually read through a thread. I'm sure you defended Marv as a GM too.
  3. Go ahead and read through my post history. Credit where credit is due. Criticism where criticism is due. It's called real life.
  4. There are a few of you on this board that will defend anything the Bills do. Does it ever get exhausting?
  5. He was a street FA until the last game of the preseason.
  6. He only play inside due to injury last year. Either Nikko Johnson or Hightower went down last year so he filled in. But is an OLB and would make this team better instantly.
  7. P1- OLB P2- OLB/pass rushing specialist P3- QB P4- CB
  8. Again, he plays and has played OLB since high school. He will stay there when he moves on too. He is twice the player Jenkins is.
  9. They were relying on Merriman? Wow, a guy who's previous 3 seasons were ruined by injury and this is the guy that you were counting on? Buddy's refusal to draft a legit edge rusher in his first 2 drafts has baffled me (among other things that he'd done). The great defensive rebuild by Buddy seems to be more of a myth than anything. Luckily he had Fitz, SJ, FJ on the roster or we'd be a train wreck. Hopefully, he gets his head right on draft day and realizes the thing that made those SD defenses so good were Merriman and Phillips disrupting every pass play. No more waterbugs Buddy.
  10. Courtney Upshaw is not an ILB. He's an OLB and he is bada**. Gotta watch the games not read Wiki. He is the guy that I want more than anyone in this draft because he can play the run and the pass. Upshaw reminds a lot of Harrison, he's on the shorter side which gives him great leverage, he's stout at the POA, he can change directions well and he's about 270. He will be a pro bowler for years in the NFL. Plus he's played under Saban...nuff said. Jenkins, like every FSU DE (Remember Everette Brown, Reynolds, ?) cannot play the run because they still allow their DEs to freelance way too much just like Mickey Andrews did. Crick has has had a terrible season and Datko's been a turnstile this year and is built like a power forward.
  11. Wow, did anybody see that? What an impressive guy. If you get the chance, tape the E60 episode and ask yourself, what the hell do I have to complain about? On a side note, HE WAS ALMOST A BILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Just saw the replay of the pick. HORRIBLE MECHANICS ON FITZ'S PART! He threw it off his back foot and appeared to hop as he threw it. He gets so god damn lazy with his mechanics sometimes!
  13. He's thrown ints on a lotta different routes. Gotta run your offense.
  14. The only thing that will make me like Chan more would be if he gave the "Harbaugh Handshake" to Belichick.
  15. That being said, it takes one play to pop a long one. Long ones happen when defenses are tired in the 4th. The Giants did that to the Bills. 16 carries is a little low for me. I still like the play call though.
  16. The reason that I think that they are a legit playoff team has as much to do with the AFC as it does the Bills themselves. They've beaten some pretty good teams and have not been over-matched once this year. Outside of the Pats and Ravens who else is unequivocally better than the Bills? So for a team to be as clutch as they've been there is no feeling good about a loss when I thought they were clearly the better team. Plus, I've never been able to understand feeling good about a loss. Ask the team in that locker room if they feel good about a loss.
  17. There really is no right answer. However, Fitz has to be better than that throw and the one he made earlier. Without the deep ball threat, the defense will press and 3 step passing game will be thrown off it's rhythm and the box will be stacked for the running game.
  18. The title of this thread should say, "Wow Schopp, Bulldog and 90% of the callers are stupid"
  19. Bell, Pears, Reinhart are all restricted. They aren't keeping any of those 3 LBs. They have the room to sign him especially after letting Roscoe go. It won't happen though.
  20. True but I still like the aggressiveness. It reminded me of the Pitt game last year when on the first play of that drive in OT they were in a 5 wide set. Then on the infamous "God made me drop it play" they were in a double tight power I with only Stevie flanked. What did Gailey call? He went for the home run and it was a perfect call because no one expected it. The play today has a lot in common with the Stevie drop becasue they were perfect calls but they just weren't executed.
  21. I realize that you can't bring pressure every single play but when a QB is sitting in the pocket picking us apart what else do you have to lose? Manning does not handle pressure well either. Plus, they were without Snee and Jacobs so the chance to confuse backups was there.
  22. The only difference between Edwards and Dicky J today was a 5 man front.
  23. Great point KT. If Gailey is going down he is going down with Fitz and all of his limitations. Fitz has to be better and I think he knows that.
