  1. I'm not a Tannehill fan but in fairness to him he played wide receiver for the first half of that year. I don't get the obsession with him though. I know it's a QB league but if he was that good they wouldn't have moved him to WR in the first place. It was a down year for the (defensively challenged) Big 12 which might have made him look better than he actually is. If he falls, I don't see how the Phins pass on him with Sherman at OC. I still love Moore despite all of his limitations. I've never seen a college QB throw with better anticipation. The pass he threw to win the Va Tech game 2 years ago was unreal. It was like he threw it before the ball was snapped. I'd take a 6th/7th round flyer on him!
  2. From A&M's bowl game last year against LSU. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXDEzCf3C7Y
  3. The best college football player on that list is Tank. He played one of the best games that I've ever seen a LB play in the Rose Bowl 2 years ago. Kept TCU in the game and made the play of the game by tipping the 2 point conversion and cementing the game. I think he'll be a good pro but my choice is Rueben Randall. Ultra talented, long and fast but he had the worst college QBs that anyone could ask for. With the right coaching and system, the sky is the limit for him.
  4. The Patriots are smarter than us so i wouldn't even answer their call.
  5. If Ingram falls, which he shouldn't, and the Bills pass on him at 17...
  6. If Mario goes down for a few games where does our edge rush come from? My point being the pass rush is far from covered.
  7. I hope he falls because that would put the Bills in a perfect position to trade back. The Bengals still don't have a RB and have 2 first round picks. We can dream right?
  8. I hear what you're saying but I can't see how they pass on Trent Richardson! If there is more of a sure thing in the draft I don't know who it is.
  9. What an indictment of Flynn. His own coach who developed him didn't want him? Maybe they'll sign Brohm now (Sorry AlphaDawg )!!!
  10. The Pats played 5 man fronts a ton this year. They wind up using the 3-4 more with the emergance of Anderson, Carter and Ninkovich. http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=320205017 NEXT LEVEL: The Patriots began the game with their base 3-4 defense on the field for 8 of the Giants' first 11 plays, and used it 56 percent of the time in the first half. They then switched to their base 4-3 predominantly in the second half, and allowed twice as many yards per play in the process. You can't be serious that neither guy wouldn't beat out Kelsay right? Kelsay can't cover, can't keep outside contain and can't rush the passer...okay? This is another case of Bills Stockholm Syndrome. Were gonna have to agree to disagree on this one.
  11. I corrected myself in the thread and said LT. Again, my point being the days of needing a dominant LT are over. The 5 step vertical passing game is a thing of the past. The Pats were in the SB this year and their biggest deep threat was a TE. QBs are more mobile and the west coast offense (short passes) out of the spread is more prevalent than ever. If we are sitting there at #10 and Ingram is there I'd be willing to bet a million $'s that he is the choice. That gives the Bills the one of the best D-lines in the game. I wouldn't mind picking a tackle if we traded back (only if Ingram isn't there) picked up an extra pick and drafted an OT. IMO #10 is too high for an OT.
  12. My point was that Buddy didn't have a backup plan for Merriman when there was quality depth out there in FA and the draft. I'm sure that they would've gotten more than the combined 10.5 sacks that all of our OLBs combined for.
  13. I hate BK. Carter's 10 sacks came in his first 13 games. I guess the Bills couldn't have used 20 sacks when they got 29 all year.
  14. There were a ton of guys in the 2011 draft that would've fit nicely. Reed, Houston and Ayers off the top of my head. The Pats picked up Carter and Anderson who had 20 sacks combined. Manny Lawson was sitting out there forever. Antwan Barnes and Fujita as well. I'm not saying that these guys would've been great but they would've been way better than anything that was out there in 2011.
  15. There are 700 threads regarding this topic already.
  16. Broyles is gonna be a killer in the slot. If he can get healthy, he'd contribute right away. OU's offense is very similar to Chan's.
  17. I know there is a Buddy love-fest going on here but how is he not entering into this conversation? Last time I checked he's in charge of personnel. He thought the Bills would be okay going into the season at OLB with a chronically injured has been and Chris freeking Kelsay. His backup plan? Two 6th round, D1AA players (Batten/Moats) and an undrafted practice roster player (Coleman)? Buddy's gotta be held accountable for this. Edwards hands were tied. Who else was he going to throw in there?
  18. There was a complete lack of talent and depth at the position. The fact that he wanted SJ there tells you all you need to know about Batten, Moats and Coleman.
  19. Nice...and Brady retiring from football to become a hair-dresser.
  20. Powerhouse is a bit much. Fringe playoff team with the possibility of a bright future is more realistic.
  21. There certainly are valid points to be made for an OT. But I look at the Giants and what they've been able to do with their pass rush. They have Tuck and Osi and they decided to draft MK and JPP in the first round. They know they have a QB who doesn't hold onto the ball and has good pocket mobility and those are both strengths of Fitz. They've had great success against the Pats and we haven't. The Bills didn't beat the Pats with 5 step drops, we beat them with screens and slants that went for big yardage. Again, the Bills offense is built on getting the ball out quickly. And we drove Brady nuts that game by getting in throwing lanes and making him move in the pocket. Last point. Look at what guys like Mathews did last year for the Pack. He made THE game changing play in the SB coming off the edge and changed the game. Tuck in this years super bowl getting a safety on the first drive. Woodley and Harrison dominating the Cards. If there is an impact edge player at #10, which I think Ingram is, then he is going to do a lot more for this team than an OT. Just my opinion.
  22. Have you looked around at the AFC east lately? There is not one great edge rusher on any teams (except Buffalo hopefully). You don't need a great OT in an offensive scheme that is built off of the 3 step drop game. Slants, speed cuts, screens are our bread and butter because those are Fitz's strengths. He is not a 5 step QB. He can't throw the deep ball to save his life so he doesn't need 5 seconds in the pocket. It's unbelievable that some people cant understand this.
