  1. Making stuff up now? http://www.nfl.com/probowl/story/09000d5d82578253/article/2012-pro-bowl-rosters
  2. Brady is top 5 in pretty much every stat at Michigan. He beat Bama in the Orange Bowl, broke the Orange bowl TD record and was MVP. He also beat Arkansas in the Citrus bowl. He won a Big 10 championship. He went 20-5. He was very good at Michigan. Corp started 1 game at USC and lost to a bad Washington team.
  3. What you're not mentioning is the adjustments that opposing defenses made to Fitz's style and Gailey's play calling. The Bills would've had the same problems whether Freddy was playing or not. If you didn't notice, the Bills lost 3 in a row before Freddy got hurt. In those 3 games losses Fitz threw 101 passes, Freddy had 38 rushes and CJ had 6. Sounds like defenses made adjustments to me and Chan's did not adjust.
  4. They also thought Merriman would be fine at OLB. Football players get injured but chronic injuries are the problem. Here's to hoping that Easley can stay healthy. I know this for sure, Jones is not a #2. Go get TO...seriously.
  5. If the "draft experts" like our picks, they're right. If they don't, they're idiots.
  6. My daughter loves it. I was thinking of changing my name to "cocktastic" but I have to stay true to Fletch. The ironic thing is that Levi transferred from Richmond to play at Troy. Corp transferred from the "Men of Troy" to play at Richmond.
  7. Geez, and we just started to agree on the running game! I'm just trying to avoid the Brohm/Brown-esque threads that will pollute TBD over the next 3 months!
  8. I would welcome him with open arms. An incentive laden contract would be a must. He would greatly improve our team and give Graham some time to develop. I'm in!
  9. I'd take Whitner 2.0...if he was an undrafted FA.
  10. Where am I being fanatical? These are facts. We all watch the games. His accuracy is bad when he has to throw the ball over 10 yards (39%) and 45% between 11-20. That is terrible and Those are facts. You are being the fan(atic) one here because your love for the guy is not letting you see the facts. Making those throws routinely makes the defense play back. Harder to press, can't squat safeties and keeps LBs on their heels. That's just how the game works. Other QBs comp% between 11-20: Grossman- 58% Hasselback- 57% Alex Smith- 54% Traveris Jackson- 52% Sanchez - 48% Fitz- 45% Cassel- 42%
  11. Answer for you sir, Case, Colt and Ty all played in Run-n-gun type offenses from shot gun. Moore played in a pro style attack that had him under center the majority of the time. His offenses were so well thought of that Florida and Texas hired the last 2 Boise OCs to run PRO STYLE ATTACKS. Did you watch Colt get destroyed in the Sugar Bowl a couple of years ago by UGA? Did you watch Moore throw for 300 yards and 3 tds to beat UGA on the road this year? How did Kirk Cousins play against UGA...3 ints. Btw, UGA won the SEC East if it matters. So, before you argue, try watching a game. Btw, Ty Detmer had a 10 NFL career and Keenem(who I think sucks) has yet to play a down.
  12. Before you start saying he was tied with all of those guys let's look at the type of pass play. Throwing deep and long pass plays can be different: On throws over 20 yds FItz was 15-51 29%, 3tds,4ints. Throws 10 or less? 67% 16tds 12ints. How about his mid range throws? 46% 5tds and 7ints. SO on passes that travel more than 10 yards Fitz is 66-165 for a whopping 39%. So I'll restate my thoughts on Fitz's accuracy, if he attempts a pass over 10 years, he is horribly inaccurate. What does that mean? Safties can squat, more press coverage and a one-demensional game. All you have to do is watch the football games and watch Fitz routinely throw off of his back foot, not carry out his play-fakes and try to fit balls in to zones that aren't there. I like Fitz, he makes very quick decisions and is fearless. But if you think he doesn't have an accuracy problem then we might as well end this discussion. There is no frothing at the mouth here. He made it fun (at times) to watch the Bills again. But less Fitz and more Freddy/CJ is going to make it fun and win games. Fitz has yet to put this team on his back and win a game. Freddy did it, CJ did (once). I'm still waiting for Fitz to win.
  13. Football is such a simple game. Let me make this clear, I don't want the Bills to go to a pro style attack with 2 backs. We have the ability, because of Fred's pass pro and receiving skills, to run out of passing/spread sets. Hopefully CJ's pass pro will improve. Now that we have some depth on the Oline I would also like to see the Bills use Glenn/Sanders like the Saints Zach Strief in the past lining him up at TE and moving him around as an extra blocker. The Bills are not going to win by featuring Fitz. They will win by featuring Freddy/CJ.
  14. I like Wilson more no doubt and for those reasons. Again, I don't think he's going to be great. I think he could be a great backup and will have a better NFL career than Corp. Chase Daniel was too small and had no arm too but he's been backing up Brees now for 3 years. That's my point.
  15. Disingenuous? Unlike you, I've followed Corps career because I follow USC. Unlike you, I watched the game he played against UW and followed his progress. He was a dual threat QB who couldn't compete at USC and was average at Richmond. His biggest accomplishment was beating out Mitch Mustain who was another overhyped bust at Arkansas/USC. So you shouldn't be commenting on a guy who you just heard of because that's the definition of disingenuous.
  16. Because that never happens...Romo, Cruz, Freddy, Peters, Fletcher, Gates, Welker, Foster, Harrison all say hi...Kurt Warner too. And I'm not saying Moore is going to be any of those guys but he is clutch, he is a winner, he is smart and throws with better anticipation than most. He could be Chad Pennington someday which isn't bad. Corp will not make a roster. That's all. No big deal.
  17. He was a 3rd year sophmore getting passed by a true freshman. Corp was also average at best in Richmond. Sooooo... I don't care what Mel Kiper or McShay says about Moore. Did you watch him carve up that Georgia secondary (on the road) which was one of the best defenses in the country this year? He had a better game against UGA's defense than any other QB had last year. How about two years ago when he beat Va Tech on the road? Bud Foster had all year to plan for him. Both teams had a few guys drafted and were SEC/BCS teams. Btw, HE PLAYED AT BOISE! I watch football and I don't care what McShay or Mayock thinks. Moore will make the Lions and Corp will be lucky if he makes it to the third preseason game.
  18. Can someone please explain how a better defense is going to improve Fitz's lazy mechanics, inaccuracy, horrible deep throws and poor decision making? 11ints in the first. 12 ints in the 2nd. 288 passes in the 1st half. 191 rushes. 290 in the 2nd. 200 rushes. Chan is not balanced. He puts too much faith in Fitz early on in games which puts the Bills in bad spots. The defense would be better if we could sustain drives and control the ball.
  19. The year the Saints won they had over 2000 yards rushing and were 6th in the league. When the Bills played them that year we were holding their passing game in check and then they ran it down our throats and destroyed us. And you're proving my point, we don't have Brees. We have an inaccurate QB who is very limited. So I don't care what the rest of the league is doing, we don't have the QB. I'd rather have a balanced offense where Freddy/CJ are the focus, not Fitz. One more thing to think about is the way NFL defenses are being built. Smaller faster DE's and more DBs activated. So why not counter that with more run heavy sets and wear down defenses?
  20. The top 3 teams leading the NFL in rushing last year all made the playoffs. Denver, 49ers and Houston. Cinci, Atlanta and Baltimore were all in the top 10 as well. Look at their QBs compared to the teams that led the NFL in passes. Detroit, NO, NE were the top 3 in passes. Fitz is not Stafford, Brees or Brady. He's more like Smith, Yates or Tebow. You can win by running the ball and controlling the clock. Giving your defense rest. Injuries happen when players are gassed.
  21. The Bills had their most rushing attempts in the 4th qtr. 279 passes in the first half of games compared to 191 rushes. 200 rushes in the 2nd half of games. Run the ball more early and the defense won't be so gassed.
  22. I follow USC very closely. He was always underwhelming at USC regardless of injury. He had his shot when Barkley went down and had a terrible game against Washington. Never played again. He was more of a running/dual threat coming out of High School and never could make the transition to a pro style offense. Useless signing IMO. Kellen Moore is 1000 times the QB he is.
  23. Corp is awful. He got his shot at USC and was passed in one week by a true freshman. Corp over Moore has me shaking my head a bit. Hopefully Jeff Fuller or Dwight Jones will be brought into camp at WR. They will be longshots, but at least they were productive.
  24. I couldn't be more thrilled with the direction of this draft. Building depth on the Offensive line and at LB was great to see. However, I am still concerned about Fitz and the WRs on this team. I don't expect Jones or anyone else on this team to suddenly turn into a great #2 option. Maybe Easley but it's tough to count on a guy who doesn't have a catch in 2 years. Moreover, Stevie isn't a true #1, he's a great #2. So what is the solution? RUN THE BALL MORE!!! There were to many times last year when Chan fell in love with the passing game and would go stretches without commiting to the run. A couple of stats to support this: -When the Bills went over 30 passing attempts, Fitz's comp% was at 55% and QB rating dropped to 70. He also had his highest int ratio at 5.4% -When Fitz threw the ball 30 times or less? Fitz's comp% jumped to 65% and QB rating went up to 80. Here is the biggest stat, his int% dropped 2 full points to 3.4%. Here is the stat that says it all to me: -During the Bills 7 game losing streak they passed for over 30 attempts in everyone of those losses. -The game they broke the streak against Denver? 27 passing attemps, 28 rushing attempts. -The Following week against the Pats? 46 passing versus only 20 rushes. Wins and loses: -The Bills were 4-1 when limiting Fitz to 30 attempts or less. The 1 loss came against the Giants when Fitz badly underthrew a wide open Stevie twice for picks. -The Bills were 2-9 when Fitz threw the ball more than 30 times. As far as I am concerned, the season depends solely on Chan's play calling. Do you want to try to win with Fitz's erratic arm or on the backs of Freddy and CJ? BOTTOM LINE, RUN THE BALL AND THE BILLS WILL RETURN TO THE PLAYOFFS.
  25. I love what the Bills did with the draft FINALLY building depth on the Oline and at LB. The positions that I'm worries about are: QB- Fitz is a great stop gap but the longer the Bills wait to draft and develop a QB of the future, the longer the Bills will not be a serious Super Bowl contender. What could help Fitz? RUN THE BALL MORE!!! WR- It's Easley or bust. Smith, Graham, Jones, Nelson, Roosevelt and Martin are NOT #2s and maybe not even good #3's. Stevie is more of a great #2, not a #1. The Bills have a limited QB who has doesn't have great weapons. Makes no sense to me. That being said, if Chan realizes that he has 2 really good RBs and a solid Oline, maybe Fits won't have to throw it 100 times a game. We'll see. DE- I know Mario and Anderson was signed but after those guys the Bills are thin. Kelsay is a year older and counting on Merriman to anything other than put on a jersey is wishful thinking.
