  1. Urbick and Chandler have been very good pickups. The big problem that I had with Nix early on was if he was going to switch over to a 3-4 then why not sign OLBs. They were out there. At the end of last year they were so desperate that they were throwing Johnson and Carrington out there. Kelsay was a disaster from day one and Merriman should have never been counted on. It made the last 8 games of last year very hard to watch. IMO, I think Buddy has assembled a playoff team this year. That being said, he didn't need to take 3 years to do it. The 2010 draft was a disaster. So my feelings about Buddy are still mixed. Grade:C
  2. My point about Peterson wasn't to draft a RB high. It was to point out how ridiculous it is to say AD's line was the reason for his success. To your point though, football has changed into a passing game. In particular, a 3/5 step drop with more screens than ever. You don't need a dominating OL anymore because teams are running the ball less and getting rid of the ball quicker. Plus, the QBs are so much better now at pre snap reads and audiblizing into plays to exploit pressure schemes. It's a different game. This does put a premium on playmakers IMO.
  3. I'm sorry, did you just say that AD's line is the big reason for his success? Is that why they just drafted a LT and cut their LT before last season started? Can you even name another OL on the Vikings? You should rethink that statement because AD was one of the greatest high school RBs in Texas history then went to OU and ripped off 2K as a true freshman. He has almost 7K yards at 5 per rush in 5 years in the NFL. I can assure you, it's not his line. Btw, I agree with WEO. Unless Tony Boselli is there, Olineman can be had afer round 1.
  4. It's Leodis's contract year so he has to play better. I like Tank but McKillop is no joke. Don't discount the fact that he a defensive captain for Wanny at Pitt and Singletary drafted him. He's just gotta stay healthy and he'll get into the rotation.
  5. Well that explains the bitterness. His ears look like they're made of candle wax.
  6. I know he was playing nickel LB last year but I must have missed the full time switch. When Buddy didn't mention him I figured as much. Good to have versatility.
  7. I would've loved to have him back. Hopefully he gets healthy soon.
  8. Gotta be photo-shopped. Either that or Jerry was a hipster and wore those annoying earrings.
  9. I couldn't agree more. If he does start the year he will be surpassed quickly. Plus, the Bills will be playing with extra DB's 60-70A% of the time.
  10. There is no way they are cutting Jones. Not saying that I think he's good but I've only read glowing reports about the guy. If they do cut him, Gailey better change his offensive philosophy to run heavy.
  11. I don't remember reading anything about Bryan Scott being switched to LB full time. Troupe is a gone. Awful pick. Sam Young was a turnstile at ND. Hopefully Sanders steps it up. McKillop will make this team!
  12. I can't remember a bigger blow hard in all of sports since Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.
  13. I want to be rich enough someday to hire a guy to change my colostomy bag mid sentence.
  14. It doesn't happen as often now because Colleges are playing 12 games schedules. Glenn played in 14 and Gilmore played in 13 in the SEC. They'll be fine.
  15. According to the article, Kelsay has looked good through two whole days of camp! Hey eball, I think Dorkingon found you a new screensaver.
  16. It's hard to take Tim Hasselback seriously because he's married to that annoying hag. A daily phone call with her has to effect his judgement.
  17. Front: We Billieve Chan Can!!! Back: Call run plays!!!
  18. That's eball's job. Just waiting for the Lackawanna Times Picayune to feature Kelsay.
  19. Obviously you didn't pick up my sarcasm Weo. Give me some credit!
  20. I would hate to see TM go only because he's endured so many years of dysfunction without ever making a sound. Unfortunately, he can't stay healthy. He's almost like Kelsay but with a few more career sacks.
  21. If they don't win 10 I can only blame Gailey.
  22. I know he's coming back from a really bad injury but if you watched this guy at Pitt you'd know that if he's 100% healthy, he has a very good upside. He's a lot like Chris Spielman when it comes to measurables/athleticism but he has great instincts. Singletary pushed hard to draft him which has to say something. His familiarity with Wanny's defense and being his defensive captain gives him a major advantage. Again, if healthy, he will be a major contributor to this defense this year. Plus, he's a great guy and will be a fan favorite. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/article973769.ece
