It was a weird play in Arizona where the safety blitzed and was totally unblocked. Had Trent not been a rookie, maybe he would have picked it up. A QB with experience sees these things coming. A rookie may not, and can get blasted as a result.
Trent Edwards was never the same after he took that huge hit to the head in Arizona. He seemed afraid in the pocket after that happened, and he became Captain Checkdown.
I don’t remember, but I think he was a rookie. So yes, they can be ruined.
Tyrod and Buffalo won 9 hard games and that was good enough. Andy had nothing to do with that.
And also, Doug would have been 8-8 had the Pats not totally been resting their starters that season finale we played them.
(1) Wood's contract is eating a lot of cap money.
(2) the o-line is in shambles.
(3) no money to sign anyone new.
(4) team just lost the home opener by 44 points.
Am I salty? Yea, a little bit.
I believe his new gig is counting the money from the last contract he got, but never played a down for.
It was big, so it’s going to take him a LONG time to count it all by hand.
we should all be so lucky.
The way which NFL contracts are structured.. a 5th round rookie vs a vet who has many years in the league? The difference would be a lot. And this is based on union contacts, minimums, etc.
No respect from the Post either ?

Based on the horrific score line of our game, what person in there right wouldn’t say we aren’t the worst team in the NFL.
we lost by 44 points. FOURTY FOUR POINTS!
saying we are the worst team isn’t a hot take. It’s the truth til we prove otherwise.
I hate saying this but captain checkdown was WAYYY better than Peterman has ever shown. Edwards had good games and even won a few. Peterman.. do I need to even go there?
Kap would cost a lot. Peterman on a 5th round rookie contract? Cheap.
So the one could argue it’s about managing the Kap (pun intended).
but yea, not a good look.
Spirit crushing loss to a divisional rival is much worse than getting the doors blown off and having the game be over at halftime. Bears fans are feeling MUCH worse than we are. Trust me.
