Then he is doing what is expected and what it takes to bring a team together, that's called leadership my friend, someone has to be the glue, it's not a matter of expectations, it's more like he wants to do whatever he can to help the team, and as far as Lee and C.J. go, don't read anything into that, they might not have been able to be there for numerous reasons. Let's just hope the defense starts doing this too !

Bills Players Working Out At "Camp Fitz" by Brian Galliford on Apr 20, 2011 8:31 AM EDT from Buffalo Rumblings "While Buffalo Bills fans are anxiously awaiting the 2011 NFL Draft, a small group of Bills players are out in Arizona working out together. I'm not precisely sure who all is there, but judging by the above photo, at least two quarterbacks (Ryan Fitzpatrick, Levi Brown), one running back (Fred Jackson) and five wide receivers (Stevie Johnson, David Nelson, Donald Jones, Naaman Roosevelt and Marcus Easley) are attending what the group is calling "Camp Fitz." They may be locked out, but they're still working on building something. As fans, we can't ask for anything more than that. Just a couple of opinions I'd like to share: if you're not sold on Fitzpatrick being, at minimum, a leader for this team, please allow this to melt your icy exterior. (Also, he appears to be wearing an Autobot t-shirt. That is also really awesome.) Before I turn the comment section over to you, I'll leave you with one final, non-Fitzpatrick thought: Marcus Easley appears to be a gigantic and physically fit human being. Great read Brian ! could the Bills have a stud tight end already on the roster? Maybe...

Good point, why not build around what we have so that when you add a talented player, you set them up to succeed. Build it for the long haul and not just to meddle in mediocrity.

Buddy's 2nd draft results with the Chargers
Speedy G replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dude, get a clue, you dont know what's gonna happen anymore than any of us do, there's no such thing as drafting tendencies, Chan is an offensive guy that has coached defense too, so he knows we need run stoppers, it pretty obvious. There are lots of holes on this team, DB is not high on the priority list, with a better pass rush and more push up front, the DB's will be fine. Look at most if not all the playoff teams, they run and stop the run, pressure the QB, and create turnovers. You're on the right side of the ball, but the wrong position, LB's and DL are gonna help more than DB. I dont claim to be an expert but with 8 games of allowing 200+ yards rushing, is doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out how to fix it. -
The key to beating the Patriots on Sunday is...

the key to winning is... dont let brady cross the Moats! -
As most Bills fans know, all games are meaningful, for God's sake, it's their team. But in light of how the team is playing, there is renewed hope that they may have a chance, if ever so slim, to finally beat Darth Belichek and the evil empire. With two games left, it's all fans have left of an otherwise disappointing season, but with Christmas being here, there's just one more present left on Bill's nations Christmas list. "Dear Santa, please let the Buffalo Bills beat the New England Patriots this year. That would be one great gift to the whole Bills family! That being said, it will be a monumental task of epic proportion. The Patriots are on a six game winning streak, and Tom Brady, one of the best QB's in history, is playing at an MVP level. It's the classic David versus Goliath scenario. Chan Gailey has his troups play consistent football in all three phases of late. With the emergence of a pass rush, hopefully Brady wont get comfortable in the pocket. Arthur Moats has turned out to be a diamond in the rough. Kyle Williams is playing at a Pro Bowl level and would love to finally beat Brady. As a matter of fact, I'm quite sure that the majority ( if not all) of this roster has "never" beat the Patriots, so to say it's meaningful goes without saying. Ryan Fitzpatrick has been solid, and his supporting cast is finally coming together in Gailey 's system. The 12th man has been waiting patiently for years for a coach like Gailey, he's a no nonsense, straight to the point, git-r-done kind of guy, who values hard work and character, and Buddy Nix has been finding pieces of the puzzle that of late, have been helping him to "show us the baby". If the 1st eight games were the labor pains, then the last eight must be the birthday. With it being Christmas, the biggest birthday party of all, maybe it's finally time for the Bills to start winning! Show us the Baby indeed!, what a wonderful irony it will be if the Bills can beat the Patriots on Christmas weekend. Merry Christmas

the o-line was a shambles last year, that was the main reason he looked so bad, it has been good this year, so thats the reason he looks good, hopofully the game has slowed down for him now that he has seen it for a while,we shall see. Let's hope for the best, since we've had to deal with the rest for the last 10 years, either we have patience or we become patients.

David Nelson is rookie and he looks like a starter, he's performed very well. Shaun Nelson on the other hand hasn't done much since the TD in the opening game against New England last year, and now he's suspended for the 1st 4 games. Shaun has the ability, along with stupidity, that suspension wasn't very smart.

We can make history this year boys..
Speedy G replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
at least the offense should be fun to watch while the defense grows into the 3-4.. -
In light of Jackson and Lynch going down, Spiller will now be the #1 RB, as we all to well know, coaching staffs seem to all have a 3 yr plan to prominence. That being said, could Spiller being here already, point toward Jake Lokker next year? Maybe? With Spiller having what will be a year of experience under his belt as of next season, that would take alot of pressure of a rookie QB, especially if Spiller has a great year. Not taking a QB this year seems to be puzzling everyone, as well as a stud LT, why they didn't take one of those is a mystery? Could it be that CHIX has a master plan to build a rock solid foundation that will be successful for the long term?, we shall see... Year one in a rebuilding process always comes with its share of growing pains and this year should be no different (barring a miracle that is), the 3-4 Defense will be more defined next year and with a few more pieces that could be added along the way, could be very good. So the key word for this season is Patience!, Yell and scream at the TV if you want (I will be), but do it knowing that its still a work in progress... just a thought.......?

Whos killing the Spiller pick now
Speedy G replied to coldstorage5's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
thank God Buddy made that pick, spiller looks like he is gonna start against the phins, lets hope the O-line can give him a few creases to rip thru... -
Let them get all the attention and be full of their old selves with their biggest loser coach and maybe we can surprise everyone..hey, you never know, it could happen...!
-
+1, Chan seems to be stating what he expects from D'Alessandris and the O line at camp and if it changes the culture of the team, so be it...!

What if Trent becomes an above average QB???
Speedy G replied to sharper802's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gailey sounds like he is a perfect fit to see if Trent has got it or not, we shall see, I for one, hope that Chan's history will continue, i.e. making lemonade with lemons... -
