  1. I'll co-sign on this. The guy's a hero in my book and deserves just as much praise as the rest of the members of those great Bills teams. For people to even THINK of booing him is unbelievable.
  2. I just received an email as well.
  3. Bought as a gift for ex-wife. She's a huge Bruce fan!
  4. No need to worry about something that has yet to happen. Maybe he pulls a Ryan Leaf. You never know.
  5. I was just going to say that. I haven't worn any all season.
  6. That might be more like it. Having to trudge back into the Ralph once a year? The fans would have him tarred and feathered.
  7. Bills need to play with chips on their shoulders.
  8. Exactly. Bills didn't play well enough to win. Bengals did. End of story. We weren't going to go 16-0. Next game I'm betting they play much better. This is a learning experience for them.
  9. Based on these observations, I would put them easily in the top 5. How do you measure a superior line? Well, the above is an excellent indicator. None of the starters are the tops at their position but it is the way they are working together along with the scheme that makes their whole greater than the sum of their parts. Cliche city but true.
  10. No kidding. Some people have no class.
  11. Fully acknowledging that this is a cornball idea, this article by Albert Breer gave me an idea. Every superhero needs a theme song, right? So why not Blue Collar Man for Fitz and the team?
  12. This is too high. They may get there in time but it is too soon to put them at #2.
  13. Because the lady on the left is becoming a convert to American football (and the Bills in particular).
  14. You forget. THAT is how good teams win. They get the breaks, they make the breaks, they get lucky. When you are a good team, things like this happen for you. Go back over the history of the last 16 games with the Pats. Interceptions, fumbles, etc....all going their way. Today was our turn.
  15. I wonder what Ms. Gish has to say now??
  16. It was. In the old days, it would have been a no-brainer. Moving slow today...not sure I want to recreate my daily commute on a Sunday.
  17. I would love to say you're kidding but I think you take this far too seriously. You're overstating the case a wee bit, don't you think? Nonetheless, this is certainly not worth arguing over.
  18. Can I have some of what you're smoking? What do you mean, needlessly harassing them for years? There is a significant population of Bills fans in the area and it is not unreasonable for these fans to request more coverage of our team. During the Super Bowl run, their was significant coverage here to the point where WNYT created a fan poll wherein residents could vote on which game would be shown each week (Bills or Jets). Understandably, Bills coverage went south as the teams fortunes declined. While the Bills in recent years have pretty much become an also-ran in the sports coverage, they (and Bills fans) were never disrespected until Ms. Gish's article.
  19. I'm considering going down to McGeary's in Albany.
  20. Having lived in the Capital Region since 1985, this was one of the worst articles I have ever read. Most writers at least make an attempt to sound professional and somewhat balanced. I was prompted to write: Hello Ms. Gish, I just finished reading your article regarding Bills fans. Judging from your picture, I am not sure you have been around long enough to understand that fortunes do change in the NFL (and any sport for that matter). As a consequence, we Bills fans are keeping it real because change is in the wind. What would you have us do, Ms. Gish? Root for some other team because ours is has been in a dry spell? We Bills fans bleed red, white and blue. Take it from our left arm and we will gladly offer you our right....because that is who we are: Bills Nation. In my nearly 50 years of watching this team, I feel quite qualified to make that statement. It's the little things you notice...qualitative things that become quantitative before you know it. I had that sense in 1988 and 1989. I have it now. My suggestion is that you get on the train though it may be too late for you to avoid being labeled a bandwagon jumper if you do. Pay your dues and you will be allowed admission to the greatest fan base in the NFL: Bills Nation.
  21. Note to One Bills Drive: Marketing ploy. Can you imagine the Ralph with a ton of people wearing one?
  22. I was just going to say this. Teams have beaten Brady by getting in his face up the middle. Coming off the edge is not going to get you there in time.
