Case has been closed on a lot of these issues that belong to liberalism: -Long-term financial viability -Patriotic understanding of the founding fathers in regards to liberties, spending and big gov't -Destruction of personal responsibility in the justice system and financially -High taxes and regulation that destroy manufacturing and production type businesses Liberalism is suicide financially, morally, and demographically. The fact you found spies isn't newsworthy when you have politicians who do much worse openly.

Yeah, being on the league's 4th worst team and then to the Cards was the same as a team that was consistently in the playoffs. QBs don't win games by themselves and comparing starting records is ridiculous when the teams are different.

An Interesting Thing About the ESPN Power rankings
StupidNation replied to Pyrite Gal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills were #2 when Bledsoe just came over and there was all that buzz and we beat the Pats and Jags. Who the hell cares? I only care if we get better coverage of how our team is developing. A freaking power ranking is worthless. -
Why We Are Losing The War On Terrorism
StupidNation replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The war has exacerbated the problem by causing more inflation and increasing our debt. That in itself helps hurt the economy. -
Great video worth watching all the way through http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XaxdUPNYj2s

The market wasn't free before this bail-out. This market was subsidized by Fannie and Freddie gubmint guarantees before the bail-out. If I told you that I would guarantee mal-investment do you think it would increase disproportionately? Well the "I" is Uncle Sam and he exacerbated this. Mal-investment will always come in cycles, but the market doesn't create this gigantic bubbles. No big ass bubble existed until the Fed Reserve was allowed to create fictional forms of investment.

The News From Wall Street!
StupidNation replied to molson_golden2002's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
That's BS. Who can see the Fed Res books? Who can see what they are doing? Who can see who their board consists of? Are you that blind to think Paulson's discussion is commensurate with oversight? All Paulson can see is what they want them to see. The Federal Reserve is a private bank for the love of God, a bank more powerful than the president and the Senate. Their independence is not a unicorn until you can prove to me who is on their board of directors. I mean they're a private bank so show me their records. Don't try, it doesn't exist. -
I don't think Paul is the answer because people only think about getting re-elected, not what's right for the country. They want what sells in sound-bytes. In 12 years when we are completely in financial disarray I tell you now we had a 100% better chance with his ideas than anything that mainstream candidates have avoided discussing like real economic issues other than fluffing the current problem.

US stock market indices the day GWB took office....
StupidNation replied to taterhill's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
That's like giving a murderer the ability to be his own judge. The Fed caused this problem with lowering the rates artificially and making a bubble to stop the 1st recession under Bush. Now they are bailing out their buddies on Wall St and crushing the common man on Main St. -

Because you don't understand the Constitution at all it might come as a shock that justices have to be voted in by Congress and Congress also reserves the right to impeach justices for not following the law and going rogue. They should have done so, but the majority of lawyers that are Senators will have a hard time throwing out their fellow Judge/Lawyer buddies even if they disagree to keep the power centralized with attorneys. Call me crazy, but doesn't it seem odd that attorneys are the only profession which doesn't need re-licensing and can "legally" abuse truth in order to gain "justice" for their client with no ramifications for their actions after they obfuscated and were manifestly mendacious? Seems odd doesn't it... -
Well then where is your thread about those jackass Dems calling Obama Christ and Palin Pilate? Also, McCain and Palin believe in more than Jesus, but I wouldn't call that leadership either. I will give her credit in one regard, the people in her state like her. I don't.

The News From Wall Street!
StupidNation replied to molson_golden2002's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
What scares me the most is that those who are really in charge of the money supply have no oversight whatsoever, they are not voted into power, and they are not transparent on who is on their board and what they do behind the scenes. They have more power than Congress and the President and we have no idea who they are although Congress and the President allow this travesty. The Federal Reserve is an amazing abuse of the Constitution and financial transparency. -
Wasn't whining, read my comment above as I was explaining my position. I think your prognosis of TV is somewhat accurate. I think the terms right-wing is inaccurate. Those news publications you call "right-wing" are GOP talking points, and I don't think you will find many true conservatives consider the GOP right-wing anymore. Conservatives were not war-mongers or big spenders, now those news outlets are nothing but mouth-pieces.

Oh, I agree with you, but I don't think I was being challenged to that effect and was pointing out the obvious that people are too lazy to realize what's about to happen to this country and what is happening with AIG, Fan, Freddie, etc..

Economy v. Lipstick
StupidNation replied to YellowLinesandArmadillos's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Obama's plan to renew the economy will cripple us more than McCain's. I think both of their plans suck, but Obama will hasten the destruction of this nation faster than the Republicans. Great feeling I tell ya!!! With Obama the entitlement and mandatory spending will escalate to unprecedented levels and if that bum gets in universal health care I can bet you will see $6-8 a gallon gas or higher when our dollar hits all-time lows and we officially become a B credit nation. Don't get me wrong, with the exception of Ron Paul no other candidate had any serious plan on getting us out of this mess economically. As a matter of fact not one candidate is discussing the Fed Reserve creating the bubble, how to regulate them as they caused this mess, and how they plan on securing our dollar and dropping our debt especially in the face of a tsunami that is about to hit our shores in the name of "Baby Boomers". -
I guess we shouldn't talk to Iran after all

US stock market indices the day GWB took office....
StupidNation replied to taterhill's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
How much is that Bush's fault? Probably 25% with recent increases to entitlements and the war. Still the biggest factor to our economy is run by someone no one elects and that's the Fed Reserve. -
Sarah Palin has no idea what the "Bush Doctrine" is!
StupidNation replied to JK2000's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Pathetically you are correct... and not pathetic because you wrote it, but pathetic because she's not qualified whatsoever. Conversely Obama is less qualified than Palin. -
Define good leadship in your world.

Is it ethical to post liberal lemming "news" under this name and under aliases? Or is your cousin Barry Hussein Soetoro? I mean Obama... Is it ethical to run for president when you won't come clean about multi-citizenships? Is it ethical to claim that you have never gone by another alias but you have? Is it ethical to use an Indonesian passport with a country which does not allow multi-citizenship passports to be leader of this country? Is it ethical to lie on your bar exam and say you have never used aliases or used drugs? Is it ethical to swear to the voters you represent you are not running for president because you need to know the job you are running for and even go so far as to admit he would have to start campaigning immediately after he won the senate seat? Or... is a vice-president who does next to nothing (except King Cheney) more important to you about ethics?

I CAN'T BELIEVE OBAMA SAID THIS
StupidNation replied to billnutinphoenix's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Well Obama getting all the lazy douchbags isn't a surprise either. I'm shocked they aren't campaigning for him... well they don't work so why start now. Obama is not a decent candidate, and he's more polarizing and destructive than any person I've ever seen nominated. I would love to ask him or any of his supporters one question: if he wants to bring us "back" to our nation's finest traditions that we lost, what in the hell is he talking about that he plans on restoring? At least with McCain you know he's a politician, but Obama is such a brazen liar that little Barry Hussein Soetoro can't get his story straight, or his name. -
I'm scared too, I'm scared that people could vote for either of these idiots and feel principled in their decision. I'm not anymore scared of a person who lied on his bar exam about using multiple identities, and used an Indonesian passport (which shows citizenship for those that don't get it) without revoking his patriotism.

I won't change my tune. We shouldn't have given Pakistan a red cent, we should shut down our borders, bring our troops home and even to the point of being at the borders and throwing out illegals. Finally, we have to upgrade our intelligence and encryption for our infrastructure. I'm sure my plan is much more sound than what you think is going to cause the problem. The media is mostly liberal and insanely biased. Do you think Obama could get away with 1/10th of the crap that he does if it wasn't? A man with multiple aliases and several citizenships who is being sued for violating the Constitution on his run and where is the media blasting him or even covering the issue? If Barry Soetoro, Barry Dunham, or Barrack Obama was registered Muslim and you flipped that story to Sarah Palin are you telling me you wouldn't see a story on this everyday? When the Jerusalem Post shows Obama's brother with him in Muslim attire, admits he's a Muslim, and it never goes far what do you attribute it to? The media would go nuts if McCain had an Indonesian passport and you know it. But the bridge that goes to nowhere is everywhere to be seen, the no-experience Palin is everywhere, but where is the same critique for Obama on the same scale? As much as I don't like the GOP they are much more scrutinized and their foibles blown to a much bigger proportion than the GOP. Look at how Edwards affair when it was first discussed was almost universally neglected until after the ENQUIRER uncovered the story. Yet, do you think for one second that would happen for Palin? If you do you are messed up.

You know I can't help but think of the FACT JP has hardly any games with over 200 yards and the fact that he is prone to bone-headed plays, and I just can't help but think that after watching you defend this guy you are "fair" or "balanced". Sure some things would have helped JP, but he is not going to be a good starter in this league. Trent showed me more in his first start than JP did in his career.
