  1. Roy Williams, and he's better suited to our offense. Lee is not suited for this offense. I could be wrong, but going deep for 2-4 receptions and 80 yards is not what we need from a #1. We need first downs, tough catches over the middle when we need them, and someone who is going to get 8 TDs a season. Williams will be cheap as he is over-shadowed by Calvin Johnson for the moment. Williams produces the same #s as Evans, is bigger, and is perfect for this offense. His lower numbers with the emergence of Johnson would make him around Berrian money with a bigger upside for the game plan we run. It's early and I will give the offense more time, but this is not an Evans offense and he's not worth #1 money unless you are a homer at this point (maybe I'm wrong, but not right now). Lee is good, but not a top 15 WR. He's missing for big chunks of the game because he will only play as an outside receiver. I've never seen the guy go over the middle. Like Lee Evans, great guy and all, but not worth this money whatsoever unless he becomes effective over the middle and makes himself a target to more than outside routes.
  2. He's not in the same class as Fitz. This is a terrible deal. The guy deserves Berrian money, not a cent more. A 55-75 reception receiver is not a #1, he's simply a deep threat. Do we think we are the Yankees looking for homers now.
  3. Don't you mean 2 sacks that led to fumbles? Getting blown out of position on plays, and allowing pressure from his side constantly? Some mistakes? The guy looks average at best and Chambers looks better, not because of talent, but because of effort and stamina. You are giving Peters credit based on a pro-bowl appearance, and you haven't been studying his play. I have and he's a joke right now. He's actually below average right now.
  4. Go to the Buffalo Wild Wings on the west side of 410 near the Lowes. There are usually 3 or 4 Bills fans. Sometimes more, sometimes less, but always fans. It's cold in the bar so bring a sweater, and I'm not joking. I was just there 3 weeks ago during the hurricane as I live in Corpus.
  5. Yes, it's brilliant to lose in order to win. No, you play to win, and it's that simple. You play to win 16 games, every one of them. If you only win 10,5,14, you name it you play to win.
  6. Lynch has those large side-steps that he does that are long and drawn out and hurt him. Jackson is quicker and faster and doesn't move east-west, but certainly not as powerful as Lynch who is outstanding with his power. I believe Jackson is more talented (flame away) and has superior vision and watches his blockers more. Lynch will never be "great", but very much above average to good. I really believe Jackson could not take an entire 16 game work-load, Lynch can. We are lucky to have a good combo, but I believe Jackson is better and would get more yards and scares D's a lot more with versatility. No one fear Lynch breaking one in the back-field at this point, D's don't know if Jackson will be lined up behind Edwards or split out wide where he's uncoverable as a WR to a LB. Running hard and like a "beast" is great, but that doesn't make him better. One of the best runners I've seen was Priest Holmes who just watched his blockers and knew how to hit holes. Nothing fancy, but he knew how to make plays.
  7. Punish hard work and creativity. Good recipe for success in the country. Did I mention that many good profitable business are going to China? What a coincidence.
  8. Incredible comeback, deep response, full of facts, simply irrefutable.
  9. Here's a story from his half-brother who says we shouldn't worry about Obama being having Muslim connections: http://web.israelinsider.com/Articles/Politics/12918.htm Holding a nice picture of Christian attire huh? Of course it's the internet so why believe it right? Of course the rest of the article tries to deny the implication of what he said and his attire, but there's more... Of course let's add these people who are just internet pics: Nedra Pickler of the Associated Press reports that "documents showed he enrolled as a Muslim" while at a Catholic school during first through third grades. Kim Barker of the Chicago Tribune confirms that Obama was "listed as a Muslim on the registration form for the Catholic school." Yeah those reporters are just the internet, it's just JPG images, move along. I almost wonder how so many people stay ignorant of facts, refuse to look into anything on both sides (I read Obama's against the smears B.S with a terrible photoshopped Birth Certificate... "African" as race? LOL), and then blame others. But then again Bush was voted in, and so was this sorry-assed Congress so what the hell.
  10. Ignorance is bliss then. It's a fact that he was registered Muslim at a Catholic school he went to in Indonesia. They actually a registration card of his registration online and verified to be true. He was registered as a Muslim at the Franciscan Asisi Primary School, and his enrollment is now a JPEG online dim-wit. You think you are disproving my name by proving it.
  11. If you think Reed brings more to each game than Holt would I don't know what to say. If his knee is fine he's better than Evans, forget Reed. The guy is amazing and a professional. He doesn't have many years in the tank, but he would be good for his 2 years that he has on his contract. It's still fantasy football than reality, but any GM with any semblance of a brain his head would take the guy.
  12. This video is a riot. http://www.kmov.com/video/index.html?nvid=285793&shu=1 Obama hires and recruits attorneys to prosecute people who "lie" about him. It's beyond dispute now that there is enough credible evidence to show he was a Muslim, or was registered Muslim. Now we have to be thrown in jail to talk about it? Obama for Communist change you can believe in. Si se puede!
  13. You wouldn't trade a 7th rounder for him? I would in a second.
  14. McCain had more time to answer than Obama. Obama clearly sounds better in how he expresses himself, except for all the "ahhhhh"s he does every other sentence, but I hate that fake smile he has during the responses. Obama is pulling a Clinton by not answering the real issues and pointing fingers. McCain does it too, but McCain is using emotions in a bizarre manner, especially bringing up the mother of the deceased soldier as way of saying we had to "win" the war. The real issues why the economy is bad, and the dollar were avoided, but that was to be expected.
  15. I've read enough evidence to show it's not urban legend, but rather a point that global alarmists try to dismiss. DC pointed it out as well. Also, the 1930's were hotter than now. The earth gets hotter and cooler. Those are facts, and how that happens no one knows.
  16. Yes they are. Save a whale, kill a child.
  17. Potential spine replacement surgery!!! Awesome thread.
  18. Most climate change is started by climate first then an increase of CO2, and if there is a 3% increase there is no link to increased temperatures. The last 11 years hasn't seen any global warming. Facts are we don't know. The 70's said global cooling, now it's global warming without global warming in the last 11 years. It was significantly warmer in the 13th century. The fear-mongers of global warming have watched too many movies and haven't studied the issue on all sides. Still we should side with caution and try our best to reduce emissions for air quality alone.
  19. And he was wrong for doing so. I could see doing that when the QB you are benching is the "one" you've anointed, like Bulger is to the Rams, but the converse is not true when you are filling in a QB you know has no future. Between JP and Trent the question was up in the air and Lee was POTENTIALLY throwing his QB under the bus, this is not true with the Rams where Trent has no future and is no more than a 4 or 5 game fill-in for a disgruntled coach.
  20. Says who, the Douchbagers? If you think the Fed is prosperity you need to brush up on your history. Look what happened with JFK's plan with the Fed. Didn't last very long did it? Strangely why did LBJ pull it as soon as he resumed office?
  21. As much as the dude gets blasted, he seems like the COY he deserved with the Bears, and the consideration for the same award last year. I'm glad to have him and run him out of town. He's one of the best, and he's definitely in the Levy mold.
  22. Sounds like his entire political career.
  23. If you do bail it out it will prolong the crisis and make it WORSE for main st long term. No one thinks long term, they only think about next week, and that's the problem with democracy as it's all about timing and fear. What's needed is leadership and vision and people don't vote for those issues. Read the Greek philosophers on the problems with democracy and it's being played before our eyes. Sure everyone will suffer, but preventing bad debt from being liquidating by continued inflation still leaves the bad debt out there only to be liquidated slowly while simultaneously destroying the dollar. If that happens it will be worse. Complain it will be bad for 1 or 2 years, or complain it will be bad for the next 10 years. Bad debt is still bad debt and it has to be liquidated. You are postponing the inevitable and making it worse for everyone. If the U.S losses A credit ratings, which will happen, how do think we can pay for any of these liberal programs that are only perpetuated because of debt schemes. You are watching the end of U.S economic dominance by China, and it's all bought and paid for by big interests in big with banks and gov't.
  24. I wonder how his new plan of going after the boogeyman in Pakistan will work if the country shoots at us.
  25. The entire Democrat party gets away with 90% of their hypocrisy, lies, and mis-statements and gets "clarifying statements" (i.e. verbal blowing) from the media to understand how to "interpret" their actions.
