Josh Allen vs Bills History
Lenigmusx replied to thenorthremembers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kelly had his fair share of 2 or 3 pick games when he had more faith in his arm then anyone should but it helped him be great. Complete confidence in himself. -
Frank Reich's press conference
Lenigmusx replied to The Bills Blog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think your right... this may well be the ultimate redemption/coaching story. Frank Reich ...back against the wall coaches up the talented nephew of his friend Jim Kelly. Then in a bold coaching move inserts him in to a good offense that is now missing its leader. He catches fire and the Colts do what they were supposed to with Luck. Reich is a hero and Chad Kelly redeemed sees the error of his old ways. Then becomes a perennial pro bowler. ? NOT! I wish them all well but if it plays out like this the NFL is the WWE. Disney will have the rights etc... -
JESSICA PEGULA WINS CITI OPEN
Lenigmusx replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in Off the Wall Archives
The men’s tournament is a ATP 500 level which is a larger scale tournament. The women’s tournament is a WTA 280 level. This doesn’t not mean it is anything to scoff at. If you play and or follow professional tennis at all you know the level of athleticism and dedication to win any tournament on the WTA or ATP is extraordinary. This is a big deal and the people who are down playing the accomplishment on here just don’t understand how competitive and demanding the sport is. They only have a month long off season? that’s it it’s almost year round. -
Just a quick shout out to Jessica Pegula on her first WTA title. She will be ranked 54 today and that is a huge accomplishment. I’m only posting this because I think this young women deserves support of Bills fans and that we should be aware of her accomplishments. Heading into the US Open she could make some serious noise. It would be cool if she was still in the tournament when the Bills visit NYC for week one. Anyway, congratulation Jessica!

Hopefully: Edmunds=Biscuit Oliver=Bruce Oline is refurbished and this team can really make some noise -
All Rookies QB's final stats and prorated to 16 games
Lenigmusx replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His pass total for the season is: 12 games 52.8 comp pct. 2074 yds 10 TDs. 12 ints 16 games with 4 more games on par with today 2994 yds. 237/424. 55.6 comp pct. 22 TD's 16 ints 80 passer rating pretty good good for a rookie with no help!!! -
I didn’t realize how valid this comparison was until I dug a little. Take a look at Steve Young’s career stats. Especially 1985 and 1986. I have a feeling that this is the way Josh Allen will trend. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/Y/YounSt00.htm I think Allen is like a bigger, more durable and stronger armed Steve Young.

Through 15 games Edmunds stats: 109 tackles, 1 int, 1 sack, 2 forced fumbles Kendricks rookie stats: 92 tackles and 4 sacks, 0 ints, 0 forced fumbles Posluszny 26 tackles 3 games then the injury 110 tackles and 1 int, 0 sacks, 0 forced fumbles in year two and he was annoited a to MLB. Bobby Wagner Rookie stats: tackles 140, 4 sacks, O ints statistically he is right there... I agree he was lost Sunday and in the GB and Jets games. The rest of the year he played like a talented rookie. Some good reads some bad. Post concussion he has played tentative I think the offseason will cure that.
-
Kendrick’s could barely get on the field his first 6 games. 3rd down and Nickel only. No one thought he would be a competent Mike by year two or three. He had the rookie honors for his pass coverage and found a way to make a lot of tackles. His rookie expectations were lower so his achievements seem greater. Milano was not great last year either and this year he was a beast until injured. Edmunds will be a different player next year. Also I bet he plays 10-12 lbs heavier.
-
The Vikings Eric Kendricks is a prime example of someone who developed into a MLB. He started only playing in the nickel and by many reports had physical talent but was slow to read and react. He has become one of the better starters in the league in 3 years. Preston Brown is also a good example of someone who has grown into the role. In recent times.

I agree that today he was not good and looked very confused where he should peruse or fill etc.. I will argue though that Lawson and Murphy did a flat out awful job setting the edge and or filling gap assignments. I think the DE's consistently read the blocking schemes wrong in the run game all day. When this has happened at other times this year Milano has been there to cover up the error with his speed and ball persuit. When Milano plays he provides a safety net that allow Edmunds to flow to the ball and run downhill. Without Milano and The Stanford injury we were very thin at LB and sometimes he was on an island. This was a role he was not ready for. The depth at LB on this team is horrible. This combined with the fact that as good a Alexander is playing he is not fast made giant gashes in the run D that the Patriots exploited. If Milano and Stanford were healthy This would have gone differently. I know what I am seeing and I also know that Edmunds has a long way to go. I think you will see enourmous growth next year.
