I was one of the last to be an Edwards believer and he played poorly today but he is not being put in a possition to win!! Our "D" gets man handled week in and week out. Cassel looked like a pro bowl quarterback today. There are a couple of quick fixes that could help this situation. Game planing a few Blitzes would be a big help. I think a more attacking zone blitz scheme could get us out of these 3rd down situation where we get no presser and get burned. Why not mix in some 3/4 schemes with denney as a linebacker or bring in one of the other backers. It would at least create a different look. What happend to some of those different formations we saw in week 1? Perry seems to have gotten lazy in the design aspect of coaching NFL defence. Different looks are a must. Now offensively we just need to RUN THE DAM FOOTBALL! That will fix everything if we commit to it. Our best drive of the game was stiffled completely by a sack when we abandon the run. We had three or four successful runs and the called a pass on first down and Chambers got beat for a sack. That really hurt cause it could have been the turning point in the game. Trent is clearly rattled and I don't know if it is mental or still a residual effect of his injury. I wasn't buying the injury until he start misfiring on screens and short passes, that is not charecteristic of his play. Either way it would be awful to throw this season in the bag after the start we had we need to turn things yesterday and I am starting lose some faith. Someone needs to light a fire under this teams ass! It seems we dealt with injuries better last year. It is depressing!

The Raiders just stupidly released Hall. With all the injuries we have I wonder if we could sign him. Can you imagine both Whitner and Hall together in one secondary?? That Could change the whole D-Backfield! We have the cap room and we are one of the few who could afford him and we are on the upward path. I just sayin....

Stroud is playing well but he is the only one so the opposing lines are keying on him!! Without Schobel, Stroud has been rendered ineffective simply by double teams. Why can't Denney and Kelsey Shift down and get pressure inside? They always overpersue and get block up the field. Even a few stunts by our ends or lining people up in other formations might help. Remember Bruce used to line up on the nose sometimes. That line used to jus create havoic. If our line could just create some disruptions upfront it would help! Also once again I will say we really miss Crowell! He would be a huge upgrade in our linebacking core.

You guys kill me! Some of you treat being a Bills fan the way a Premenstral teenage girl treats her boyfriend. The season will always be a roller coaster ride! ALWAYS! LAst years NEw England team was an aboration and the lost the big one. Perry Fewell has called a couple of bad games on defence. I also feel like we are again having our youth exposed. We just lack disipline in the trenches and we are too fast for our own good! Two things caused our loss yesterday Over persuit and turnovers! Withour turnover the interception and the turnover on downs we would have been up 21-6 at the close of the first half. The screens burned us because we over persue! We are a desperate team this week and it is a must win but don't be a roller coaster stick with these guys and see what the can down when the chips are down!

His career Stats might change your opinion on his running ability! 615 carries for 2774 yards and a 4.5 yd per carry average. I would say he was a pretty good runner and not just a receiver. He also caught 582 passes for 6076 yds and a 10.4 yd per reception average. Harmon had alot of TD's though 10 rushing and 26 receiving. Fred Jackson so far has 107 carries for 508 yds and a 4.7 per carry average 40 receptions for 344 yds and 8.4 yd average per catch only 1 TD and it was rushing. Multiply these numbers by 5 to equal ten years in the league and here is what you get. 535 carries for 2540 yds 4.7 per 200 receptions 1740 yds but I think Fred career numbers will be higher he is of course only half way through this season. Do you still think my comparison is that far off????
