I think he will continue to play hard rather than play like he got paid.

He does not tackle well. He does not cover well. He drops interceptions. He is a good leader and speaks well to the press. I think George Wilson is much better and the draft choice from UNC could step in. Did anyone really feel better for having him on the field. like that the Bills had a distinct advantage because he was out there? NO !!! He was just another body filling a Bills uniform.

He is bad, almost unwatchable, but he is just the kind of player that the Bills like to give a fat contract to.

Wood is a good guard but does not have the mobility and movement in space needed.

As much as I want Roosevelt to make the team, it seems that the coaches are preparing Nelson and Jones for the back-up roles and for special teams. They are the gunners on the punt coverage team as well as kick-off returner (Jones) and kick coverage (Nelson). Nelson is the extra receiver in 4-wide formation with the starters. Jones has always been no lower than second team in camp and in the preseason games. I watched Roosevelt for four years at UB and think he could play well if not star in the NFL. Galley and the coaches don't seem to make depth chart changes unless they are trying to keep things a secret. 1. Evans 2. Johnson 3. Parrish 4. Nelson 5. Jones 6. Jackson/Hardy PS. For the last two weeks we have seen some fine quarterbacks. Some are older than Trent and some younger. Trent doesn't compare to these guys. Short passes, touch passes, high passes to our tall receivers are all poorly thrown. He was a good bargain find in the third round. Just the right fit for our dollar pinching brain trust. Name one team that would replace their starter with him. Nothing personal, but this job isn't for everyone.

This is a worth-driven league. Contracts mean nothing to the owners. They can and do cut a player and all of the back loaded money in contracts. Owners and players know this. League wide, this has to be the most glaring case of a player being asked to continue a contract that pays him less than half the going rate for his worth. If people think he is only worth $3.5 mill, why don't we trade him for some other teams' $3.5 mill tackle and move on.

Comparing these players is not easy. One player is willing to play this season to show his worth to the NFL in hopes of a big free agent payday. One player proved his worth last year as an all-pro, all-NFL selection. The Bills' "brain trust" has decided that the one most needed and worthy to be paid is Evans. Though very good, Evans is not elite at his position in the league.

It's a great deal! Especially for a player that the Bills think isn't worth more than $3.5 mill. This is a good idea. Trade him for what he is worth and move on.
