4-3 or not 4-3, that is the question...
High Mark replied to XrazyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would bet Merriman, Carrington, Kelsay, and S. Johnson would be the DEs. I would think Barnet could play multiple postions, prob a WILL, Moats would be SAM and Sheppard MIke -
honeslty, with teams throwing the ball so much more, I would expect the DBs to have a lot of tackles these days.

The Potential: Buccaneers London Series
High Mark replied to KollegeStudnet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tampa gets those games because the owner of the Bucs also owns Manchester United and they lobby for it. I doubt it gets them any fans in London though, Man U fans hate - and I mean hate - the owners. Google love united hate glazer. -
OLB CB WR (I think this position turns into a perpetually draft one, like CB has been for years, because of gailey's offense) OT

Idea: C.J. Spiller to Detroit for 2nd Rounder?
High Mark replied to ShipUPride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People dont want to trade him bc of 'depth'? Gimme a break - any PS running back could never carry the ball for very little yardage(total yardage, not average). I feel like 4 out of 5 of his touches are receptions anyways. We could just sign another nobody WR to do that. If you don't want to trade him, thats fine, but lack of depth is a really weak reason. -

He tanks it like DJ did in 08 -
I seem to recall Marv saying somethign like 'We went into the draft with 3 players we really wanted, and when it was our pick, all 3 were still on the board, and we took our top guy.' I took that to mean they had Lynch not only rated above Willis, but J Thomas and A. Peterson too. WTF Bills FO?

I'll be watching the Tebow game too. And yes Luck in Miami is my biggest fear this season -
Kyle Williams will miss the Redskins Game

The Plantar Fascitus I know affects the bottom of the heel, forward to the arch of the foot. As far as I know, it doesnt affect the back of your heal, underneath the acchilles. From the comment about removing the back of KW's cleats, I would that PF would be ruled out (unless it can also affect the back fo your heal?) -
not that we can do anything about it but

Well, I never really thought we were going to win the division. Our ownly hope is to beat NE again to end the year. Im cool with a Wild Card birth though (If I am going to lsoe to NE again, its going to be in the regular season!!!!) -
Unless we plan on getting home field advantage, and they move the SB to the Ralph, then we better start winning some games in other teams stadiums. I saw we beat the Fish, Jest, and 'Girls on the road, and all of our home games (we lose in Oh Cananda). Why not?

Myth: 30+ Athlete = "Over the Hill"
High Mark replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here is my theory. Draft OL/DL/Lb because those guys tend to come in and play right away, and can play into their mid 30s (lots of seasons from 1 pick). Sign average to above average, 'savy veteran' CBs and WRs after they have developed on another team (guys like winfield/greer). I feel experience matters more at these positions. Why draft a McKelvin, when it takes 3 seasons for him to 'develope' when a Ryan Clady can play like a 10 yr vet his first day of camp? Meanwhile CBs like Greer and Florence (he has been a good signing, regardless of the Giants game)are more than adequate and can start the day you sign them in FA. There is so much less adjustment from college to the NFL at certain positions, take the day one starters in the draft and the savy vet at the positions where its important to hae a savy vet..... -
Lions trade for RB Ronnie Brown
High Mark replied to buffalo1983's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Guys, the rules have changed! Its a passing league now! You gotta open up WR WR!!! Fill in with RBs that catch a lot of passes (assuming its a PP league)later on. A stud TE is key too. -
Sue them out of spite.

Andrew Luck - Contrarian Post
High Mark replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not really related, but when Aaron Rodgers came out he had a very weak arm and threw like an awkward 8th grader. Now he has maybe the strongest arm in the league and throws perfectly. Not sure who the GB QB coach is but he is a good one. -
I actually think our Sateies are great but our CBs are pretty bad. They take PI penalties every time the WR runs a fade route. Anyone notice how the Giants CBs were able to turn back, find the ball, and not only intercept it but not get called for Pass Interference? Thats what our CBs need to do.

This is why you cant miss at the top of the draft and expect to have a complete team.

on the 80 yrd TD run, Urbik pushed that one Giants dude like a shopping cart. He moved him about 12 yards down the LOS. On a few other replays I noticed him crushing dudes too. Our interior 3 are playing great, thats a key to our success IMO.
-
I dont watch him every play but I noticed him making a few key plays and never noticed him getting abused.
-
From what I hear on the TV he has been doing a great job with the Packers. Clay Mathews as evidence. I wonder if he is ready to run the show though? PS: I didnt realize he is from Schenectady?

Over two minutes. AKA plenty of time for the Giants to go down and score. I dont mind the pass call at all at that point. We were still playing to beat the Giants and not the clock. I think I was calling for a PA pass or an inside screen actually. PA would have been sweet - its a safer higher percentage pass, conventional wisdom says we should run, woulda been a good move. We dont use PA enough if you ask me.
-
Shoulda just signed Brees 5 years ago for 10 mil a year

Not that I am defending Edwards (can this even be considered a defense?), but we havent manufactured pressure in his previous 21 games as our DC.... so I wasnt expecting him to manufacture any in this game. One would think that an offensive mastermind like Gailey would be able to design a defensive gameplan/blitz package that would work.
-
Man, I cant believe this call is getting so much attention. So we score a TD on that play and people are pissed we leave them 4 mins? Yea our D sucks, but if we ran it we would only steal a couple TOs and they would have 3 mins to score instead of 4!!!! Big deal. 25 yards out, 4 mins left, 2 TOs, the 2 min warning, time wasn’t a factor yet, we needed to beat the Giants not the clock. I mean lets say we ran it twice, got stuffed, the Giants took two TOs, and Fitz threw the pick on 3rd down with 3:47 left…. The Giants still win on the last drive. And besides, who is to say they didn’t have a run play called along with the pass, and Fitz decided to throw it bc he had SJ singled up on the outside? Id rather take the shot for the end zone than sit back and take it up the pooper on the next drive. The Cowboys gave up that same 1v1 look with D Bryant v the Pats last night and they lost, it’s a double edged sword, and it boils down to throwing a better pass. They didnt need a full 4 mins to do that. They coulda done it in 2 if they could do it in 4.
