Sheppard looks a lot better than good for a 3rd rounder they all said was a career backup. I didnt even count Williams bc he has been injured and honestly he hasnt looked very good. Getting a starting T out of the 4th is good and I expect Hairston to start eventually. How many starters do you want out of a draft? 4 not enough?

Here is what I dont get - why do people care if the QB runs teh ball instead of passing it? Its not like he isnt gaining yards when he runs. So what if Tebow would be skrewed in a 'normal NFL offense' Tom Brady would be Skrewed in 'Tim Tebow's offence' Combine his passing stats with his running stats (and attempts) and you get 17-28 for 172 and a TD. Not spectacular but good enough to win a game. Plus, I counted 4-5 passes that were very good throws that his WRs just didnt catch. Give him those and he is well over 65% completion, relative to a QB who never runs. I also think they need to loose up with Tebow. When he is in the 2 minute O he marchs right down the field every time. Let him free already, he is handcuffed for the first 55 mins.

The Broncos aren't running the 'option' its just some zone read plays out of the spread (when Tebow does run it) but primarily a power running game. FWIW our offense is the college spread, just without the zone read bc our QB isnt a runner. Turn on any Big 12 team or Nevada, among others, and its essentially the same O the Bills run. The Packers and Pats run the same routes for the most part. Its a very simple idea that has worked for years. Spead the field horizontally, get guys into windows, etc. Tebow is executing the running part of the O just no the passing part.

FWIW I think SHeppard has looked very very good.

I remember Randy Moss tooling him on often. I also think that refs dont make calls on him like they do to the rest of the league.

I know its a violation of league rules, and prob NCAA and HS rules too, but I would love it for the Bills [or some college team - or frat]to hand out Kazzoos at the entrances for a game and have the whole stadium kazzooing their kazzoos on third downs. That would be so funny. (And yes I thought of this way before those horn things at the world cup that people thought were annoying)

I think the Broncos need to mortgage their stadium to hire the GB QB coach, whoever he is. He has worked wonders with Rodgers and with Favre throwing.

The steelers game last year KW single handedly destroyed. It was more impressive than Dareus today. PS Dareus is a total beast, cant wait till KW is back, but also Moats and Spencer J and Edwards all played well.

I was expecting a lot worse actually. Nothing he said was much different than what I heard for ~8 years of high school and college sports. But I could tell he wasnt just talking about the game. He was pissed some kid had a friend from another school (maybe a rival?), he seemed to think a lot of the kids left the programe after either grade to go somewheres else, and I bet some of the players missed practice once or twice to go play golf. I dont know why he would bring that up before a game.

The Bills need to win. Winning brings fans. The Bills have fans all over the US, who have no connection to Buffalo, because of the Kelly/Levy years. Now a days there is an entire generation of fans local to Buffalo who couldnt care less about the team becasue they havent made the playoffs their entire lives (at at least as far back as they can remember)

I was really referring to the success of the pass across the NFL more than anything. It is no suprise the passing yards in the NFL this year are at record highs, with the rule changes we have seen the past few seasons. That is going to turn into DBs getting more tackles than in years past. Honeslty 300 yrd passers arent a big deal anymore. its like 350 or even 400 is the new 300. Teams like the Pats are going to throw it 3/1 as much as the run it. How do you expect the DL and LBs to get tackles v tteams that throw it 40+ times a game? Dbs are going to have to tackle the WRs after they catch it with that many apsses.
