  1. You guys can have Todd Heap, I’d be all over Kelly Gregg. KW could then play DE 1st and NG 2nd, with a true, down and dirty MAN at the nose. NGs tend to play well into their mid 30s too. With what, 30 mil until we reach the salary floor, the Bills should be able to drop some coin on some players. Greg or Cullen Jenkins (as was reported), a top TE, RT, and LB please.
  2. People resell them on ebay. 40-50 is standard
  3. FWIW My girlfrind is a student at Fisher and worked for the team this past season as an intern. One day in May she saw Chan Buddy and her boss (dont know his name) walking the campus. She said hello and talked to them for a bit. She mentioned to me that if the lockout wasnt resolved by some day in June/early July (I cant remeber if she even told me the date) they would just have camp at OBD. Im pretty sure Camp at Fisher is a no go this year.
  4. You sure its not McKelvin for Brady Quinn?
  5. I vote for 92379876023560235730578 years
  6. That tends to be true at all levels. Some guys get it, some dont.
  7. All things equal I believe the Titans w/l % was about 20% better with VY at QB. Id like to see a TE personally. They are key to having a good O, yet the Bills never seem to have one.
  8. Great, now I will be even more confused as to who isfumbling the kickoff!!!!! jerseys look sweet BTW.
  9. The Bills problem with spending isn’t that they don’t spend enough, its that they spend it on stupid players. Guys like Kelsay Maybin who suck are paid like superstars and guys like Donte who are average at best make crazy amounts of coin. A higher salary floor will just mean more of the same in Buffalo, overpaying for average talent and bad talent.
  10. Your comparison is weak. “waterbug” is a term essentially coined by Gailey which IMO means a dancer and someone who is hard to catch. I think guys like Parrish when I hear waterbug, or that really small Ole Miss RB who went in the 2nd round to KC - he has dreads and his name is slipping me right now. Johnson and Charels are not waterbugs. They are decisive, one cut and go running backs who run the ladder very well and can also outrun everyone on the field. Their decisiveness make them play faster than their timed speed. Reading their blocks allows them to get into space and use their speed. Spiller (at least in his rookie year) was very hesitant and played slower than his timed speed (which is still slower than Johnson and Charels but who really cares). He would rarely make a cut and get up field. He didnt read his blocks and just bounced everything outside. The one or two runs I recall of him being decisive and running north and south he did gain a good amount of yards, but that was 2 or 3 times all year. You are correct that they are of similar height and weight but their play for the most part was nothing like those other two. Being 5'10ish and 195lbs ish doesnt make you a good running back.
  11. Ok, so to solve our run D problems and get bigger up front, we put Dareus (6’3’’ 320lbs) at DE, Heard (6’6’’ 355lbs) at the other DE spot, and Jasper (6’5’’ 400lbs) at NG. That allows us to move KW to ILB (6’1’’ 305lbs) and Maybin to SS (6’4’’ 195lbs). Problems solved.
  12. I am in the minority but I always thought Lynch was better ( must put too much emphasis on scoring touchdowns). We had terrible blocking and I think Jackson was able to play off of that better than Lynch – who I always felt was expecting his OL to actually block people. When there was a hole Lynch would crush. Don’t forget those runs vrs Cleveland and Miami early in his career where he broke 12-13 tackles to score. That’s another thing – Lynch was light years better at short yardage, yet Stupid Jauron would put Jackson in. WTF dude? Lynch was only stopped once or twice in his entire time in Buffalo on short yardage and Jackson was less than 50% I would estimate. Even with that Lynch had 5x the touchdowns.
  13. Peyton Manning is a FA and there may be no salary cap again this year. If Ralph wants a championship, he should sign Manning to a 4 yr, 150 million dollar deal, with 120 million guaranteed in the 1st year (again no cap). Then the next three years (assuming the cap is back) will only be 10 per season. Helllllllloooooo Superbowls.
  14. The Glazers own the team but the I thought they now owned the Stadium too? The County built it but I believe that in the workings of their original lease agreement, that if the Bucks won the Super Bowl within 5 years of it being built the Stadium would be gifted to the team - or something like that. They won It with Chuckie and I thought they owned the Stadium after that? I know they own the land for parking around the stadium and the offices/training facility is on. Two or Three of the Glazer children live in LA, and they tried to buy the Dodgers in the past, so its not too far fetched (having no knowledge of the Dodgers stadium, could it be retro fitted to house football games too? or build a new duel purpose stadium perhaps? Assuming the Dodger are up for sale soon). I believe the only siblings living in FL work for the team.
  15. Carolina should be worse, I would say the Titans and Vikings too if they start theirs rookie QBs. Cincy without Palmer. And the Fish. Arizona will prob be worse but have a better record bnecause fo division strength. Then Im sure there is a team or two that sucks out of no where. That puts us at 6-8th worst.
  16. The only comparison I see is that in the clutch, in a close or tie game, Sanchez came through, while Fitz did not. Its not all about TDs vrs INTs. The timing of those TDs/INTs is much more important, and that’s why Sanchez gets talked about while Fitz doesn’t (it doesn’t hurt to be a top 5 pick in the biggest media market in the world either) Until Fitz leads us to some Wins, in close games, he won’t get talked about. Please don’t bring up the Steelers game, that was one game we could have won while 4-5 others where Fitz losing it for us, like Balt, KC, and Chi in three consecutive weeks.
  17. I couldn't disagree more. I think Miller lucked out by going to a 4-3 team, because now his weaknesses will be hidden and his talents will shine through. In a 3-4, the opposite would have happened IMO. I still cant beilive they took Miller over Dareus though. Did anyone else see that video of the Bills draft room when the Broncos took Miller? You can see Buddy doing a fist pump in celebration. Pretty cool stuff if you ask me. As for as the ogiginal question, Id say Dareus, Miller, Peterson, Green, Newton in that order.
  18. As with any reciever, he can only be as good as the QB. Im hoping Fitz builds on last year, but if we are being honest he ahs just as good a chance of regressing. Im glad Easley is physically dominant, and hoping he can be a Dez Bryant for us.
  19. This is why I side with the owners for the most part. They want these billion dollar stadiums, and I think they should pay for it, not taxpayers.
  20. My bet is we end up 4-3 again. DE Kelsay/Carrington DT Marcel Dareus NT Kyle Williams DE Dwan Edwards OLB Shawn Merriman Injured MLB Kelvin Shepard WLB Paul Posluszny (If re-signed) SLB Arthur Moats CB Terrance McGeeInjured CB D. Florence CB Aaron Williams NCB Leodis McKelvin SS G. Wilson FS Jarius Byrd
  21. These players are dumber than rocks. Who the hell makes over 400k minimum, and likely 7 figures a year, and needs a loan BEFORE THE LOCKOUT HAS EVEN AFFECT A PAYCHECK!!!!!!! I say give the owners all the money as long as they fund their own dam,n stadiums and lower ticket prices for the only people that do matter.
  22. New York and the Feds are right behind! Cant really add to this convo. Im 4th or 5th generation from Rochester. My parents lived in the shadow of Rich stadium when they first got married. One of my earliest memories of the Bills was having Bills Cowboys stickers on my lunch box. I may be leaving the area soon though. This weather is really getting to me and paying all these taxes while living next to complete scum bag welfare abusers is driving me nuts.
  23. Fitz is probably the 15th - 25th best QB in the league, but I would still call him the "leagues best backup" If that makes any sense.
