Pass Rushers....Possible Trade Options
High Mark replied to BiggieScooby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
BRIAN ORAKPO Thanks for nothing Bills FO of 2009 -
I am going to blame our CBs for not getting INTs when given the same chance. Instead, we got PI calls. The Giants guy coulda put his arms straight up and ran in SJ, but instead he turned around and caught the ball. Good for him

I thought there was one main reason for our loss today. It was also the biggest reason we lost v Cincy too. Our CBs do not turn and look for the ball when the WRs do. Twice today Fitz threw two badly under thrown passes. Both ended in INTs. Eli had a couple of ugly under throws too, but they ended in pass interference penalties. those 4-5 plays affected the game more than anything else. When the defender isn't looking for the ball, and there is slight contact or the defender is 'blocking' the WR from the ball, they call PI every time. If the CB looks back for the ball, there is rarely a penalty called, and he has a chance at a pick. Florence could have had 2 picks today but instead had two huge PI penalties. McKelvin could have shut down AJ Green and had a pick or two v Cincy. With today's rules we need to get our CBs looking for the ball to avoid these killer penalties. This is a very simple technique that they teach 6th graders in Pop Warner, yet our NFL CBs cant seem to do it. This should be second nature to the CBs. Its evidence to me that our CB coach is overlooking very basic fundamentals.

What about the incomplete pass play right before the half, I think it was jsut after a TO/9 yrd draw play by Bradshaw. The clock was at 26 seconds. The giants ran a play which ended up being an incomplete pass. At the end of the paly, still 26 seconds on the clock. It didnt affect the game at all, but honestly, the clock didnt run on that play and no one noticed.

I saw McKelvin and Davis in the Atlanta airport on the Tuesday after the Bengals game. McKelvin ahd a Bills hoodie on and some Pats fan was chatting with him...having no idea Leodis played for the freaking team. Kinda funny. And the opinion on him from almost everyone of the media draft gurus was that he was a career backup..... We should just draft Bama and LSU boys for defense all day every day.

I have been impressed with pears honestly. Urbik too. If hairstons play wasn an enomoly, I wonder if Bell finds himself as the odd man out? Its amazing how quickly a team can turn around with the right men in charge acquiring the talent, and the right man coaching said talent. Could you copy paste some of the other lists for us? Maybe the top 10 or something? I dont think their stuff is copyrighted so it shouldnt even be in violation of the TBD rules! -

Levitre Ranked best guard in nfl through 5
High Mark replied to Billshank Redemption's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But Levitre is only a 76 in Madden????? It just goes back to what everyone already knew. It doesnt matter who you have at RB/WR (late round nobodies/undrafteds) If you OL and QB are playing well your O will be great. This applies to the DL/front 7 too. Or you could be the dream team Iggles with superstar CBs and weapons galore on offense, but your OL sucks and you are 1-4. -
Mark Rypiens Daughter in Lingere League
High Mark replied to BRAWNDO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have seen some of these games on MTV, they are acutally pretty legit football games. More exciting than the Arena league thats for sure. Its like old time football, when the RB is the biggest player on the team and just trucks through everyone else. PS if anyone knows this woman personally have her pm me. -
2009 nfl draft in retrospect was weak
High Mark replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry, but Orakpo was hands down, top 2 or 3 player in the entire draft. Make the pick in your sleep and plug him in at Starting DE (or OLB apparently) and not think about the position for 12 years. Maybin was a 5th round talent who offered up nothing. We blew it, and Ill never get over it. The rest of the draft turned out OK though -
George Wilson named AFC Defensive Player of the Week
High Mark replied to bills44's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thankfully Whitner is gone! Addition by subtraction, its about time. GW has been playing great football for us for 3 years now, this is what happens when he gets to play full time. -
How about the fukk Brady bills

TEBOW!!! is a Jet! (finally)
High Mark replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am really pumped he will be making his start over our bye week. That way we can all watch him dish it out. I'll wear my Tebow Jersey to the bar -
How about Handgun Harvy. The best nicknames tend to evolve until you have no idea why they are relataed to the guy. try explaining that nickname 'Well Fitzpatick had a beard so people joked he was Amish, then he got the nickname Amish Rifle, but his armstrength isnt the greatest so people joked he was more like a handgun, but he went to harvard so he became the harvard Handgun which was too long to say so it morphed into Hangun Harvy.'

I teld to agree, but a 4th is nothing. A forth is marcus easly. I still feel Wayne is legit, he isnt producing this eyar bc Manning is out. Besides, if its teh 4th we got for Lee, thats like trading Lee for Wayne... talk about a total steal for us.

From reading the article it sounds like he just couldnt cover anyone. There are still a role for big LBs in the league. Just gotta move him to where he can be successful. If we didnt draft Shep, I would think he could be in A Davis role in our D.

TEBOW!!! is a Jet! (finally)
High Mark replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
FYI: The Broncos are on their bye this week, and the Bills next week. AKA We can all tune into the Fish/Tebow game next sunday at 1!!! FWIW he looked good in his starts last year. I think he was over 300 v Houston (albeit they were teh worst D in the league) -
I agree. If two weeks off gets his caught up to speed, thats better than having him hurt the whole year.

One way Ralph could keep the team in Buffalo
High Mark replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ralph should sell Kelly 0.000000000000000000000000000000001% of the team for $1. As a minority owner, Jim would get NO control over anything, and must agree to forfiet his share of the team in the event the team is sold to anyone but Jim Kelly. What Jim's small stake in the team would grant him as part of the deal would be a right of first refusal when the team does go up for sale. Doing this would not discourage other groups from putting in an offer, it would only eliminate Jim and his group of investors from bidding on the team(there is no reason to bid against yourself). This would keep the price of the team high as well. This is the most logical way to give Ralph exactly what he wants and give Jim the best possible chance to buy the team and keep them here. -

Eli with a 5 TO day (please play Moats). We win. -
The jets just stole a draft pick.

The deadline is something like Thursday at 8pm, aka less than 72 hours before the game. I had a trip planned to go down to Tampa Bay for a game last year which got flexed to the 8pm slot. I ended up having to pay the airline change fee, another night in a hotel, and take an unpaid day off of work, just to make the game still. Thanks NFL. But I dont think they flex T-Day games.
