Warning on the last preseason game
DIE HARD 1967 replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Last year he clearly did not play his starters enough in preseason. I think he played them more this year and the Bills looked pretty good. Buffalo has got to be ready on week 1 and I will be watching that also -

Warning on the last preseason game

I agree 100% on that! Lets just get it over and get pumped for next week! -
I have been a fan for 42 years and I can't even count the times the Bills looked pretty bad on the last game after looking pretty good for the last 2 weeks. I would like to just watch something else tonight , but I just can't do it. Do you guys remember the Superbowl years when Marv's team looked pitiful in preseason, I sure do! I think WE actually won 1 game in 4 years! Some players seem to lose concentration on the last game.......I guess they see this a meaningless. Off sides penalties, dropped passes, poor tackling seem to happen every year on the last game. These problems almost never carry over into the regular season I realize most of you already know about the above, yet every year some fans will over react to a poor performance. Sorry Guys, I just think the PRESEASON IS TOO LONG. I hope the Bills look good tonight, but it won't keep me up at night if they don't either. -DIE HARD 1967

I am starting to believe we need to trade Peters
DIE HARD 1967 replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Some of you are reading into what I said, I simply don't believe in placing a player ahead of the team. This entire situation could have been handled differently and I place little or no blame on the Buffalo Bills. Some fans simply need to understand a contract is a contract, and Jason signed it! Where was is agent on that day? -

DIE HARD 1967 replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is no problem paying the money, its how Peters went about it and the length of his current deal! Most NFL teams would do exactly what the Bills are doing! PLUS,he has not proven he is over the injury yet. I would not commit CAP SPACE to an unproven injured player......would you? -

DIE HARD 1967 replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
3 way deal, yes it can happen! He is worth at least a #1 draft pick -
I am not sure I want a player on my roster with a financial chip on his shoulder. It appears we may not see this guy for awhile and that will not help the Bills in 2008. I realize he is a great Offensive linemen but Jason can not help the Bills in street clothes. It may not be such a bad move for the Buffalo Bills to move on and focus on the team first! I do not like the injury situation, the length of his current contract and the way Jason Peters and his agent handled the entire situation. The ENTIRE process REEKS of behind the scene, closed door, problems and we may never get the real truth from the media or the team. I am sure the PLAYERS are pretty pissed off about the situation...but it sets a bad example on how to rework a new deal! All I am saying here is............it may not be such a bad move by the Bills to explore other options and perhaps .........they already have. Just my opinion!

Wow, you guys surprise me..........this was not what I expected from you guys! You sure had me fooled! What is this TROLL DAY in BUFFALO ? (lol) -
This offensive line is going to get a lot of press during the season and the media will surely come up with a name. We need to come up with our own before we get stuck with a terrible name like "THE FAT BOYS" . ( Please give it some serious thought) I have a few suggestions and I am interested in yours! Your suggestion COULD catch on and you will be famous (lol) #1 THE HEARD #2 THE LYNCH MOB #3 SNOW PLOW O Give it your best shot! Please don't tell me WE don't need a name, where do you think the Electric Company or the HOGS came from.........? The Buffalo Bills are going to run the ball alot in 2008 and with the size of that line, you just know a name will come soon! - DIE HARD 1967

#1 I predicted this back in JUNE, Peters will sign this week, its an OLD NFL tradition, sign before the last preseason game! #2 Buffalo has a talented roster.....some pretty good football players will go! THERE WILL BE SOME SURPRISES. I am a big John Wendling fan and I hope he makes it. #3 Who is the #3 QB, some of you don't seem to care, I do! #4 THIS IS THE WEEK WHEN EVERY TEAM IS LOOKING AT THEIR ROSTER .......AND SOME WILL BE LOOKING FOR QB's LOSMAN'S NAME WILL COME UP MORE THEN ONCE. I am not predicting he will go anywhere but there will be some suspense! THIS IS THE WEEK MY FRIENDS...............its going to be intersting I love this time of year and NEARLY EVERY TEAM will be on the phone. I LOVE IT! GO BILLS

I think there's one thing about JP...

Now if we can only get him to throw the ball on the correct side of the receiver -
If the Bills could get their act together
DIE HARD 1967 replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would love to stick a fork in New England and write them off, I simply do not believe the team will fall off the table after 6 months. Their problem may be more mental then Physical. Buffalo should be able to compete with them this season Every season starts the same way.......its anyone's division to take -
Some issues worth converation in August 2008
DIE HARD 1967 replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I respect your option but if the team becomes divided, Losman has got to go! I prefer to keep him but the issue is bigger then any player. -

DIE HARD 1967 replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe Losman will fairly quiet and if I was him I would look for a new deal in Buffalo. He will receive nothing more then a incentive rich contract. Nobody will offer starting money. Thanks, you are right on the money again. Your comments are great! -
Veteran WR would be good pick up for bills
DIE HARD 1967 replied to bills1960's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I respect your opinion, but I hope you realize that puts Hardy on the bench and lost 2008 much needed experience. This would be like placing Erick Moulds, Andre Reed, and Lee Evans on the bench as rookies. -
I am interested in the following issues, #1 I am not sure how the Superbowl loss will effect the team in New England. The Patriots COULD go on another run of the undefeated during the regular season and it will mean virtually nothing to them now. I EXPECT them to lose some games during the season as most opposing teams will be gunning for them. That loss will have some effect on the Patriots, I for one believe they will not be the same team in 2008-09. Could they miss the playoffs.......sure they could. #2 The Media in New York may believe Brett Farve will provide the answers and somehow lift this team to the playoffs. The guy is not Super human but he is capable of winning a few close games for them, I do not think even Brett Farve can over come a new system and he has a limited future in football. I see one season then retirement, a huge press conference, media hype and yet another frustrated team without a starting QB. #3 J.P. Losman is still a topic of discussion in Buffalo. I for one don't believe he will go quietly. A trade makes sense for both Losman and the Buffalo Bills. There will be several quality QB's available at the final 53. Should the situation make sense, another veteran QB could be coming to Buffalo. Should the team become divided on starting QB's, that will not be a good situation in Buffalo #4 The Jason Peters situation reeks of unresolved issues of renegotiating a new deal after an injury, with 3 years remaining on his old deal. My guess is the Bills do not want to commit cap space to a player unwilling to attend camp, just to hobble off the field with the SAME injury. The best time to address this issue would be after 2008-09. I believe this is an agent- player choke hold on a understandably cautious Buffalo Bills. #5 To Dick Jauron, I would like to believe the following A. You learned something about clock management against Dallas B. You realize that getting the ball to Marshawn Lynch & Roscoe Parrish in open space as receivers COULD be critical to 2008-09. C. You have settled on a TE. The fans have been searching for years, and it appears Robert Royal is still the best option. D. Losman becomes a free agent in 2009, and a decent offer by another team is better then receiving absolutely nothing. Your Comments are WELCOME -DIE-HARD 1967
