We never talk about this much, but I see the opportunity of a LIFETIME to be a team forever remembered in Buffalo! A Superbowl champ that escaped the city and fans for over 50 years. If you win a Superbowl in New England, Pittsburgh, Dallas, you will be remembered, but no where near how well you will be remembered in Buffalo! I am telling you guys, if I was a player, I play for Buffalo! If the players don't think of it this way, well they should!

Here is what the Bills need and seriously lack....my opinion. #1 The Bills lack the ability to be feared on the field as a tough physical football team that takes real pride in punishing the opposing team. Headhunters, smash mouth football, stick um, punish them, take pride in hurting them. #2 If you love the coach then you need to play hard for him, show him you want him around, help him keep his job. Why, because you like him! Practice hard, play hard #3 A head coach that will not accept mistakes, poor play, dropped footballs, off sides, fumbles etc. No player should be named the starter for more then 1 week, if you screw up, the 2nd string guy gets his shot! No exceptions! Robert Royal is a good example of a player that should have lost his job to Dereck Schouman or Derek Fine! If you want that big fat new contract, then you will start all 16 games! #4 The ability to develop a feeling of invincibility, the confidence that no team can really beat you. All great teams have it and without it you will be no more then average! The game is never really over, you will somehow find a way to win!! I believe the above are the key, and so far, I don't see it! You guys that have ever played football or been a head coach know exactly what I am talking about! -DIE HARD 1967

Here Are Teams That MAY Need QBs Next Year
DIE HARD 1967 replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem with your list is not one of those teams believe they need a new QB. Everyone of those teams THINK they have the answer on their roster TODAY! You will need another list after the season. -
We won't know what kind of team we have til week 9
DIE HARD 1967 replied to Tcali's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with you. The hurry up offense, reshuffled OL, inserting Maybin, It could be as long as mid season. You may even have a new head coach by then Then, it will take the rest of the season to straighten that mess out -
Is this a fair $7500 Fine?

I think the flag is appropriate, the fine is a little much -

It was kind of minor, my opinion How about the helmet spear at the goal line? -
I think the Bills could still be a wild card

Ah, I really don't really don't think this one is fair... Strange, I almost always agree with the fines! I would be in favor of a fine for the NYG player that used his helmet during the tackle at the goal line! http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true

What week will DJ be fired?
DIE HARD 1967 replied to sharper802's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ah, ah, ah Week number 3, and it will be for his own protection Get him out of town before the fans storm his office -
I am warning you right now, don't do it! Somebody on this very board will say 1 quarter, or perhaps a series or two. ( We don't want to risk the injuries) Injure Who? The players most of you don't believe should be on this team anyway? I play the starters the entire game if necessary, I WILL GLADLY TAKE THE RISK. We are opening against the Patriots and without a considerable improvement, the Bills can place a Big Fat "L" next to that game! Now, some of you may be surprised at this..... Vince Lombardi, John Madden,Don Schula,Bill Parcells all played the starters for 3 quarters...its not that rare at all! Vice Lombardi played his starters for an entire game in 1964 ,then held a practice 1 hour after the game! The players quickly realized, that penalties, uninspired play and turnovers were not acceptable on Vince's team! I play the starters till they play well, I don't care how long it takes! *

http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2009/08/21/j...ed-maybin-sign/ Just watched Maybin sign Chris Brown Posted August 21st, 2009 Tags: Aaron Maybin Just watched Bills top pick Aaron Maybin sign his contract upstairs here at One Bills Drive. Maybin was relaxed and relieved. After signing his name to about 20 copies of his contract he called Mr. Wilson on the phone in Detroit to tell him the good news. As the phone was ringing Maybin said, “How about that? A Hall of Famer is answering my phone call.” Cool bit of Bills history in the making to witness. -Chris Brown Ring, Ring, Ring, Hello Mr Wilson, this is Aaron Maybin and I just signed my new contract....... Ralph: Thanks for nothing...... You have not been to work in over a month.....if I had my way we would have drafted Bryan Orakpo!!! Oh, and by the way, your haircut s**** Never call me at home again.......
-
This has to be an all time low..... Maybins haircut??? Rates right up there with Travis Henry's ear ring I am much more interested in how a rookie can receive guaranteed millions, miss training camp, and place the team at a disadvantage by missing an entire training camp. Oh yes, awesome haircut.....

Maybin at LB would be awesome !
DIE HARD 1967 replied to Speedy G's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he should play QB tonight and give the offensive line the night off. After he is sacked about 15 times, I will then forgive him for missing camp over money
