  1. I lost track of all the 3-year-olds he listed. Dude gets around...
  2. +1 Seriously, I hate taunting but having a little fun? It's a freakin' game! I think if Stevie did that it would be awesome (as long as it doesn't get him suspended).
  3. Yeah, I've wondered that myself. There was a replay on Sunday at one point that showed one of the Fins with his hand practically inside Kyle Williams' helmet.
  4. This may be a dumb question, but is it legal, if a runner stiff-arms a defender, for the defender to grab the arm and yank the guy to the ground? If it is, why don't more defenders do it?
  5. and what a pivotal, blockbuster of a game that will be.
  6. Well, maybe we don't have Antonio Gates. But we're at least involving the TEs in the passing game more than we used to. Both Stupar and Martin had nice receptions yesterday.
  7. Seriously? Criqui truly is the worst announcer in football. He's done a couple of Bills games this season (which should tell you something right there) and has been utterly horrible every single time. Beuerlein's always correcting him. A lot of announcers are bad, but Criqui truly is awful.
  8. I was tempted to choose "never," but I like occasionally seeing it snow in Dallas on Thanksgiving (which it has done). I was raised to hate the 'Boys. On the other hand, they're so arrogant and over-the-top and yet they've won a total one ONE playoff game since the mid-'90s that I enjoy seeing them blow up once in awhile.
  9. Here's a video of the collapse as seen from the cameras inside which are apparently always on: http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/dpp/news/snow-collapses-metrodome,-vikings-postponed-dec-12-2010
  10. I voted for a bunch. I mean, what the hell. It's all a popularity contest anyway and I'd rather have the NFL think there are a lot of people out there who are rabid Bills fans willing to vote for mediocre players. So I voted for (and don't necessarily think they're all mediocre): Fitz, Stevie, Williams, Poz, Whitner (I know, I know, what was I thinking?), and Drayton Florence (yes, based on essentially two good games). And I'm voting often.
  11. Totally disagree. Gailey's got a track record for improving offenses and particularly QBs. He knows how to make adjustments, as some posters have noted. He got Roscoe involved in the offense. His players play hard for him. As for Harbaugh, I was at the Notre Dame-Stanford game in September and I will admit to bias since I am a Notre Dame fan, but Harbaugh's a jerk and it was quite evident in that game.
  12. Don't even get me started. As much as I think bin Laden ought to be slowly tortured to death, the stupid border cr@p is a knee-jerk response that makes no sense considering anyone with half-a-brain could get across that porous 6000 mile border undetected pretty easily (see the Bruce Willis movie "The Jackal" for a "how-to"). As for flying, what's next? Full-body cavity searches???
  13. Holy crap. Did anyone notice the note about the fact that the Steelers O-line was whistled for 13 penalties (10 accepted) in that game and the Falcons O-line, by comparison, has been penalized 11 times all season? Yikes! Our O-line is looking pretty good in comparison.
  14. Sorry, I meant CBS back when he was paired with Madden.
  15. I LOVE Gus and Steve. Best announcing duo on TV. Gus' calls make the game more exciting. I used to hate when Pat Summerall was calling MNF and someone scored. I've heard people sound more excited at a funeral.
  16. Totally agree, especially since that wasn't the first time in that game that someone was wiiiiiide open in the middle of the Bills D. I didn't count, but I should have. I would guess it happened at least 5-6 times in the game, often at crucial points (like 3rd down). Edwards is ridiculous.
  17. Why isn't there more talk of firing George Edwards? I mean, c'mon. This is pitiful.
  18. I don't know too many average to below-average QBs who have been second in the NFL in QB rating 6 games into the season. And if it's just "Gailey's QB magic" at work, then where was his magic with Trent? Maybe Fitz just needed someone to teach him a few techniques or something. But a lot of it has to be him.
  19. Yep. This was a hopeful loss from an offensive standpoint, as was the New England loss. Gotta do something about that D, though. Ugh!
  20. Yep, Fewell was better than Edwards, plus Nix did nothing to get players who could play in the new scheme.
  21. Another billboard opportunity?
  22. Um, Miami turned itself around in one season. The Bills could have at least kept it respectable with more aggressive moves. Look what the 'Skins did.
  23. (Preferably directed at Russ Brandon and/or Buddy Nix): Do you realize you're the laughingstock of the league?
