  1. I guess the breed is a Belted Galloway. They don't look fast like Joey Galloway though. Very impressive J.
  2. Around here, Stanford is known as "The Farm." So you and Stanford have that in common. You'd also be interested to know that on some of the university's pastures, they have these guys grazing around.
  3. You don't have to apologize. Feeling shame and embarrassment is sufficient. Zebrie Sanders and Erik Pears did participate on a limited basis in the spring practices. All signs point to them being full go for training camp as well. They’ve both lined up exclusively at offensive tackle. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2013/07/12/fan-friday-7-12/
  4. The problem with listing the QBs in a hierarchy is that some are on the downside and others are on the upside. Are Manning, Brady, Brees, and Big Ben better than Ryan? Probably. Will they be in 2 years? Quite possibly not. That's why everyone says that they would build around Aaron Rodgers. Because at 29 years old, he's still pretty solidly in his prime. Matt Ryan is 28 years old. If you were building a team most people would take him over some of the older, better QBs. One other point on Ryan. Even though football is a team sport, 5 straight playoff appearances is impressive, especially for a team which had never before made the playoffs 2 years in a row.
  5. Ah, but do we know it's a girl? Doesn't say in The Snews piece.
  6. This is hearsay, isn't it? You're fairly new here and seem like a good poster. If you changed something Bandit said you should own up to it and just apologize. For every game he misses, he loses over $400,000 so I don't consider that to be leverage for Byrd. Touching back on a discussion earlier in this topic. Thanks Doc. And Merriman. Great point.
  7. We already knew this. It was stated earlier in the week. :nana: :nana:
  8. Richard? "Heteronormative" is definitely the new word of the day. As for Sherman, I'll always have a warm spot in my heart for him after he punked Skip Bayless. It wasn't the most virtuous act but considering it was Skip Bayless, it was eminently forgivable and in fact, laudable.
  9. Perhaps if you post in this thread we can evaluate you more thoroughly and come to a diagnosis. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/159698-splain-your-avatar/
  10. I don't know if you lurked here back during those drafts but there were plenty of people here who loved Kaepernick and who would have taken Kaepernick when the Bills took Aaron Williams. There were some people here who proposed taking him in the first round after a trade down. Ditto with Russell Wilson. There were numerous people here who would have taken Wilson ahead of TJ Graham. I believe there is lots of evidence in the posts leading up to the draft and even during the live draft threads.
  11. For anyone interested, here's the link: http://www.wgr550.com/two-bills-drive/16915167 The most significant quote from that piece was this: Last season after the Patriots took their turn shredding the Bills defense, Tom Brady said Wannstedt never changed anything so they always knew where the Bills would be.
  12. Sorry my criticism of your link/post set you off. And thanks for singling me out for wasting your time in an 89 page, nearly 1800 post epic. When you link us to pictures of the SUV, I promise not to comment. I'll add that filter to my other filters (not commenting about Tim Tebow or Manti Te'o).
  13. While I don't practice what I preach, I believe that having a good work/life balance is very important. That said, from the start of training camp till the end of the regular season is only 5 months. The offseason programs are limited to 9 weeks. That brings the maximum possible number of weeks the player can be at the facility to 7 months and 1 week or 29 weeks. This means that except for those players who participate in the playoffs, these guys have 23 weeks of unsupervised time each year. I constantly talk about how punishing football is to the body and I endlessly lecture about how most people don't appreciate the physical price the players play both short and long term. That said, if I were a player I would comply 100% with the offseason program and if I was a coach, I'd have a hard time not prejudicing myself against players who didn't attend every voluntary session. JMO.
  14. Swope was a very talented player who if healthy had a promising career in the NFL. I think he was graded a 2nd-3rd round talent but because of the head injuries he lasted until the 6th round. And idiots complain and ask why the sport is being "pussified."
  15. The story I read on this is that Mazda will be paying for the restoration.
  16. I also thought it interesting that there was nary a peep from the Niners. This was another thought I had. He didn't have the time because he had to go buy a new car or something. This guy was a 5th round pick. You'd think he'd appreciate the fact that he has a job in the NFL and do everything to keep it. It's hard to imagine that this doesn't somehow damage his career in several ways not least of all the feelings between player and team.
  17. We will keep Sally, Nicole and you in our thoughts and prayers.
  18. Tarell Brown has now fired his agent. “That’s what agents get paid to do — to orchestrate the contract and let you know what you can and can’t do as far as workouts, OTAs, things of that sort,” Brown said Thursday of Overstreet, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. “That’s what he got paid to do. He didn’t do that. So, in my opinion, you have to be let go. We all are held accountable for our actions and it’s just part of the business.” http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/07/25/tarell-brown-says-hes-fired-agent-after-losing-2-million-salary-increase/ IMO if Brown either had a better work ethic or any clue, it wouldn't have come to this. While he's making excuses and painting himself as the victim, he's equally as culpable in this situation as his agent is. You're a professional. Shouldn't you attend voluntary team workouts? You're a professional. Shouldn't you know what your contract stipulates? Moral of the story: stupid people do stupid things.
  19. As a poster here once revealed (I was oblivious to this for decades): The Bills are named after a guy (Buffalo Bill) who made his name killing the symbol of our city.
  20. Pittsburgh? Name spelling of football players? Have you seen this: http://www.theonion.com/articles/pittsburgh-school-district-leads-nation-in-ability,2861/
