  1. Suppository supplements? Supplemental suppositories?
  2. But remember Zach was a fire hydrant. He was short but he was thickly-built. Physically the guy most similar to Kiko that I can think of is Bill Romanowski. They're about the same height/weight and the same longer build than most LBs. As most of us remember, Romanowski was an all-around 3-down linebacker who was very good in coverage as well as in run defense. He also could get to the QB a bit but really wasn't used that way. Like the other two, Urlacher is also 6'4" but he played at around 260 pounds. Of course Romanowski was probably doing PEDs up the ying yang.
  3. That same question arises in the Ed Reed to Houston signing.
  4. Judging from Whaley's comments on Friday, it doesn't appear that the Bills view TJ Graham as "a relic."
  5. In the hiring cycle which ended with the Bills hiring Chan Gailey, it appeared from rumors that Ralph was willing to open the vault. Numerous high profile head coaching candidates would not interview for the Bills job. That fact had nothing to do with money.
  6. I don't understand how this makes sense. The Bills matching the Jax's offer to Poz but not offering a contract to Levitre can be interpreted as them thinking that they're closer to being a winner now than they were then?
  7. I renewed today. After dialing the 1 (800) 531-5000 number I immediately asked the person who answered the call for Customer Retention. He seemed somewhat taken aback by the directness of my request. I was transferred. I had cued up the DishNetwork offers in another tab and started talking about that and how we've been DirecTV people for 8 years. I took the very polite but firm, conversational tone about how unfortunate it is that longtime customers get screwed while new customers get the introductory rate, etc. Talked about how we loved DirecTV service and product but that money talks. Long story shorter, we got the NFL Sunday Ticket Max for half price at $149. This includes the Red Zone Channel and the "To go" package for when we're not at home. They also waived our $10/month fee for our HD Advanced Receiver for 12 months and discounted our "Choice Extra Classic" package by $25 month for 12 months. Total saved for the phone call: $570 for the next 12 months.
  8. 1) The offseason programs have gone from a 14 week period to a 9 week period. 2) The number of OTA days has gone from 14 to 10. 3) The dreaded "two-a-days" (two full-contact practices) in training camp have been completely eliminated. 4) Training camp practices are now limited to no more than 3 hours. If there is a second practice that day, it has to be a walk-thru practice lasting no more than 1 hour. 5) Also new in training camp is the rule stipulating that teams give their players one complete day off per week with no practices or meetings. 6) Teams cannot have a padded practice until at least the 4th day of training camp. 7) During the regular season the team may hold no more than 14 full-pad practices with no more than 11 such practices in the first 11 weeks and the remaining 3 padded-practices spread out over the final 6 weeks. The players are overjoyed by these changes for good reason. What happened to Commings was virtually a non-contact injury. In the Cowboys training camp they've already suffered two non-contact injuries involving a bone bruise to the knee and a ruptured achilles tendon. Despite now enjoying the safest practice standards in decades, injuries will never be eradicated from NFL practices.
  9. One involved noodles. The other one involves a noodle head.
  10. You're just bitter that you know nothing about the NFLs numerology system.
  11. The Wildcat is and has been dead. It's pointless to insert a quarterback who can't throw and thus makes the offense one-dimensional. The read-option however won't be quite the blip on the screen that the Wildcat was, IMO. It seems to me that there are lots of dual-threat college QBs who will be able to run the read-option in the pros, even if they work out of a sub package.
  12. As for Jaybee's unexpected treatise on fantasy football, fantasy football was actually started by a group of Oakland Raiders (AFL) executives who played it in part to keep up with players on other teams. The Raiders would travel east to play the Jets, Bills, and Patriots and would often be away from the west coast for 3 straight weeks. Fantasy football was also a recreational pursuit for them. The fact of being a fantasy footballer has no bearing on the knowledge of the fan one way or the other, IMO. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fantasy_football_(American)#History Then the others should possibly change their names to Aaron?
  13. Aaron Wilson should just change his first name to Adam to go along with Schefter, Schein, and Kaplan. Canfora should do the same. We're out of coffee.
  14. We've discussed Parker's comments and the idea that they could be construed as wanting retroactive pay. They also could be interpreted differently. Byrd got paid commensurate with his draft position. He was slotted as are virtually every player drafted into the NFL. I sure hope this isn't Parker's mindset because if it is, it would blow the whole idea of him being "fair" completely out of the water. The idea of retroactive pay is delusional at best.
  15. Shuler hasn't been the same player since Ken O'Brien retired.
  16. With certain symptoms (vertigo, fatigue, migraines, light sensitivity, etc), playing is not an option.
  17. There are other possible explanations including the reporter has a friend in the Bills organization or an "in" with Brad Smith.
  18. Doug Whaley interview: http://audio.wgr550.com/a/78728778/7-26-john-murphy-show-hr-2-doug-whaley-interview-camp-trivia.htm
  19. This should explain it perfectly. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/159710-manuel-should-never-be-1/
