  1. I betcha they don't give away a real lot: Titans to Stream Periods of Training Camp Practices on Official Team App Maybe only selected parts of the practices and definitely a lot of tight shots.
  2. Is he off campus? Does he have the team's permission to be off campus?
  3. One of the many attributes EJ has is the ability to throw balls with touch, long or short. He's really a naturally smooth athlete with a feel for the game.
  4. Holy Moly. Perhaps this just delivers the inevitable result.
  5. I always love listening to Marrone's pressers. Not that the bar has been set high recently but it's refreshing to have a head coach with a working-class style belying a very intelligent mind. Marrone's a very deceptively smart guy IMO. Don't let his "every man" persona fool you. This guy was accepted to law school and also had a path paved for him to become a Division I Athletic Director. He eschewed both of those careers to follow his love of coaching. I love listening to EJ Manuel speak. I have a background in broadcasting and work in construction so I value communication that's only as long as it needs to be in order to be clear. EJ is very economical with his language yet he speaks volumes when he opens his mouth. His maturity and assuredness are unmistakable and I don't believe that there's phony bone in his body. Another thing about today's reports is that both EJ and Kolb spoke at length about Nathaniel Hackett and it's pretty clear that they view him as both extremely knowledgeable and yet youthful and energizing as well. Marrone spoke about the ebb and flow of practice (the offense and defense taking turns asserting control) as being very game-like. But apparently the offense was really humming today under both QBs. Really good stuff today that I hope everyone checks out. Another thing picked up by listening to the QB interviews: It seems like they're finally figuring out how to "cope" with Pettine's defense. Kolb mentioned that Hackett had changed up a few things (I'm assuming protections and hot reads) but I also think that the offense has become acclimatized and that the unpredictability of the Bills D is becoming more predictable after all these practices. It makes me shudder to think of how handicapped the Bills offense was last year by never being mentally challenged by Wanny's Vanilla Light scheme. I won't say that the Bills offense is gonna be lights out this year but I believe that they will be mentally prepared to deal with whatever any defense throws at them. I gave it my best Brad Daluiso!
  6. As many of you have undoubtedly noticed, when the Bills shoot video of camp practices for fan consumption, they invariably use tight shots which give almost no sense of the offensive and defensive sets and schemes. This is not by accident.
  7. He and Robin (Chad Johnson) would sign with the Bills because both of them are desperate to keep their careers alive. Randy Moss on the other hand might not sign with Buffalo if he were to be offered a contract. JMO.
  8. As discussed earlier, a new thread for the new week. While it's debatable when this topic should have started, it seems logical to start it on the first day back from the team's first day off from practice. Also, this is the day that the team encountered its first significant injury, the hamstring strain suffered by Stevie Johnson. Anyways, Bills Roundup: http://www.buffalobi...95-bc94bb28c252 Coach Marrone's presser: http://www.buffalobi...d6-0e07a274a2b4 EJ's presser: http://www.buffalobi...de-b9015a0dcd07 Interview with Kevin Kolb: http://www.buffalobi...25-cc7f8eb38a93
  9. Have you considered that maybe she is a witch? BringBackFergy beat me to it… Damn!
  10. He still has the key to the city so he would be able to transition back pretty easily.
  11. This would be a good time to mention that two of the really great posters (this means that they're also great people) here are going through very hard times. One of them just lost his mother in a tragic accident, many years before she would have died a natural death. He laments that his twin one-year old sons will never know the grandmother who was prepared to be the best grandmother ever. Another one of our great posters is battling an aggressive liver cancer and is fighting for his life. Both of these guys are major figures on this board and both have been attacked and criticized in the not-so-distant past. So please, when on TSW, try to be nice to others. You never know what some people might be dealing with. Best wishes to you NG.
  12. Great stuff! You're quite talented. "In Heaven Scott Norwood makes every field goal."  I subscribed.
  13. The 2011 draft was probably the best draft for defensive linemen in NFL history. This was obvious before the draft took place. It was commonly mentioned that the Bills might be best served by trading down however this was one year before Nix dipped his toe in the water with the TJ Graham trade (and two years before he traded back for EJ Manuel). As you all recall, Nix stated that he didn't like trading his picks and that he would rather take the player he liked at his pick. Clearly he learned his lesson sometime after 2011. Anyways, that 2011 draft featured the following D-linemen besides Dareus: DEs JJ Watt, Robert Quinn, Ryan Kerrigan, Adrian Clayborne, Cam Jordan, Wilkerson, Cam Heyward, Jabaal Sheard, Brooks Reed, DaQuan Bowers, Justin Houston, and Sam Acho. At DT, the draft gave us Nick Fairley, Corey Liuget, Phil Taylor, Jarvis Jenkins, Marvin Austin, Stephen Paea, Sione Fua, Jerrell Powe, Kenrick Ellis, and Jurrell Casey. That is a ridiculous amount of premier D-line talent and lots of these guys are going to have great careers. I'm happy we took Marcel and I think he'll have a great career. But as I was saying before the draft, the Bills could have traded down and gotten a good D-lineman and another player or two. Bottom line, Marcel has an incredible amount of upside and some of his critics could very well end up eating their words.
  14. Boo Boo Foot is a ceremonial title which changes hands… much like Honey Badger. Some people need knee replacements by the time they're 40 years old. Some people have looseness in their shoulder joints and can dislocate their shoulders while sleeping. Every individual is different and has their own idiosyncrasies. It seems like Stevie, in spite of constantly stretching is prone to muscle tightness. I've played sports with people like this. I on the other hand never pulled muscles but I was prone to quad strains. For some fuhking people there is.
  15. Thank you. I'm sick of every time someone happens to mention that they were in the service that some feel compelled to thank them for this. Some people go into the service because they have no prospects elsewhere and they need a roof over their heads and food on their table. Some people in the service have civilian-type jobs. Some people go into the service to take advantage of the GI Bill. I have great respect for those men and women who put themselves in harm's way in executing their orders but like you say, not everyone who is in the military is a hero and deserves special thanks. There are many courageous people in all walks of life. As for Kyle Williams, the last time he was fully healthy was in 2010, the year he made All Pro.
  16. I've had that pappa oscar sierra on ignore but not because he's negative. He's on ignore because he adds zero to the discussion and has no interesting insights about football. He's just trying to avoid looking like a complete fool by season's end. Another one whose contributions are less than zero.
  17. Without comparing it to other trades I could see it being very lopsided in favor of the Bills. I'm very high on EJ and very skeptical of Austin.
