  1. Due to your question I just listened to a 1:30 excerpt on iTunes. I loved the work Edmunds did with Nick Lowe in Rockpile and I'm a fan of Edmunds' guitar style. Good thrashing stuff!
  2. The Byrd saga is still ongoing. The cornerback situation has not been defined. What QB should the Bills have acquired?
  3. Tell that to Mike Nolan, Dom Capers, Wade Phillips and the inumerable DCs who have turned around a defense's fortunes in one year.
  4. Awesome story. Although awareness is getting better, I think that there are still a lot of people who don't understand.
  5. I'll try to make this stuff available but my fantasy football playlist has (among other things): Hank Jr (All my Rowdy friends) even though I can't stand Hank Jr. Buffalo Soldier Bob Marley Both themes to ESPN's Sportscenter Eye of the Tiger Survivor Gonna Fly Now (Rocky Theme) Sabre Dance (what the hell) MNF Theme (it's called Heavy Action) The Final Countdown (anything that's a sports cliche I probably have) The Imperial March (Darth Vader theme) Jaws Theme Bills Shout Ritual/Ancient Battle (from the original Star Trek: think music during starship fight scenes) Sprint Right the official theme of NFL Films And pretty much everything by NFL Films and particularly Sam Spence that's available on iTunes. I also have all the networks football theme music.
  6. Ranks Rastro! Irresponsible crap from Werder. His "beliefs" mean exactly less than zero. If he's such a connected journalist, why not just contact Byrd for comment? The laziest brand of crap out there.
  7. You've ignored my numerous characterizations of Spiller as not just a running back but a playmaker/game changer/ home run hitter. He's not equivalent to just any "good" running back as you try to argue. Don't straw man the discussion with the best player available argument. Your belief that Bulaga would be a better pick than Spiller is all that needs to be said. The most incorrect statement in this discussion is your's: that the Spiller pick was a bad pick. You come off as pedantic and one who clings to infallibility. I was never arguing how the Bills have drafted over the years. I was arguing that the CJ Spiller pick was a good one. Bado thinks we should have drafted Bryan Bulaga. He harps on QBs but there were no QBs worth taking in that draft. I pointed this out to him and he refuses comment on it. Everyone and their non-football fan brother knows that it's a passing league and that the Bills are consistent losers. This does not make CJ Spiller a bad pick just as it doesn't make Jimmy Clausen a good pick.
  8. Was Troup a bad pick? Yes. However what happens to the math if Troup becomes a serviceable journeyman in this league and Gronk never plays football again? Just a thought. As for Terrence Cody, last I looked he's still not a starter but only a rotational player. While you were incorrect about Carrington taking Kyle's job, this is a really good point. Every GM has hits and misses. Buddy's tenure will be marked by his faith in Chan Gailey and Ryan Fitzpatrick. The correct point has been made in this forum a million times: talent across the NFL is fairly even. What separates winners from losers are coaching and quarterbacking. Put a good coach and a good quarterback on a bad team and look how many journeymen suddenly become Pro Bowlers.
  9. I disagree because in previous years, no Bills CB could play the ball because they never knew when it was coming, whether it would come out at 2 seconds or at 5 seconds. Now the corners will be playing with the expectation that the plays will unfold in a natural time frame and they will be able to look for the ball instead of before when they knew that there was no pass rush and that they had to focus solely on staying with their man and never looking for the ball.
  10. To add some much-needed useful information to the topic, Whaley was promoted to GM on May 16th.
  11. How many people with a case of beer in their car weren't drinking? Some of the "logical assumptions" the others are making are bigger reaches than Aaron Maybin.
  12. Whether it's appreciated or not, my contribution was to provide the OP with a resource and to illustrate that there was a group in Hamilton and one in Oshawa. The OP never stated what was meant by "nearby."
  13. The last replay (where the camera is in the defensive end zone shooting towards the offense) looks to me like the crown of Bostic's helmet hit Willie's helmet. This happens at :27 seconds. I think it's pretty clear.

  15. It will be interesting watching McKelvin playing with the benefit of a pass rush for the first time in his career.
  16. And according to the logic of some people we should have drafted Tim Tebow or Jimmy Clausen instead of CJ Spiller. What some people can't seem to see is that drafting the best player available regardless of position is a valid draft strategy. CJ was the best player available. The point is a simple one.
  17. Apparently you haven't seen him play this summer. He looks better than he's looked in years.
  18. I was a certified arborist for 10 years and I still wouldn't cut Branch.
  19. It's a shame that the Nazis were overthrown because no one remembers who they were.
  20. And we were talking about the Spiller pick and as I pointed out, what QBs were we supposed to pick at #9? What wide receiver? You can't say that Spiller was a bad pick because the Bills don't have a quarterback.
