  1. "While Carder was hospitalized, his mother asked him what he would do if he could not walk again. “Well, I’ll just join the wheelchair Olympics,” Carder told her."
  2. He ALWAYS mentions what media AND fans are saying about the team. I've made this point before. It doesn't inform his decisions but he knows what hard core fans are saying about the team.
  3. Behold the wisdom of extra picks in the 4th and 5th rounds… GREAT PICK!!!
  4. Did you check the grades of all the players picked before and after him? Some 50s, some 60's, some 70's. Sanders is by far their highest rated player taken in this round. Only 2 players in the 4th round had higher grades. If he's not a steal, how would you characterize a guy who was rated much higher than anyone else in the same round?
  5. Great post… especially your hypothetical buddy-speak! We should do a thread on this someday like we did the "Things Jauron would say" thread.
  6. Outstanding. This guy just needs to get a bit stronger and he's already a polished pass blocker. Great pick!
  7. We're behind a bit here… the Bills just drafted Florida State tackle Zebrie Sanders… and we have another pick coming up in just a few minutes.
  8. Yep. And divorce or not, she'll have enough money to get lots of cosmetic surgery done.
  9. As far as the cornerback depth chart, the cream will rise to the top. Competition first, but also injuries and contracts will make the decisions.
  10. Irvin was a great pick, IMO. After his selection, NFL sources revealed that 7 teams had him in their top 15 players. This guy is as good if not a better talent than Von Miller. He played as a 235 pound defensive end in college. He's gonna be a stud.
  11. Yeah, like was mentioned, with 4.37 speed (timed on a slow track), when this kid lines up on the slot receiver and blitzes… he's gonna disrupt the play more times than not. The video shows he's an excellent gunner too. I see him blocking some kicks and punts in his career too. He not only has great straight-line speed but he also has great agility and change of direction. I'm actually more impressed with Brooks than I am with Graham (our 3rd round receiver).
  12. LOL! I heard he's hired a dialect coach… good career move. That's alright… the Bills have 2 picks in the 5th also. You'll get it back on track.
  13. That's an optimistic viewpoint, IMO. 1) Last year of contract 2) Has not established himself after 5 years… clearly a disappointment who has only shown in flashes. If anything, McKelvin might have some trade value.
  14. No, he was totally composed. Also after the hit, he didn't gloat or taunt. "The Hit" is at around 11:00
  15. I agree. There's a coherent vision… you sense the blueprint underneath the picks both in the plan drawings and the detail drawings.
  16. Thanks for contributing informed views. It's alright to say you don't like a pick. But to not back it up with anything other than useless, negative comments? Big fail, guys. I'm sorry for your misery.
  17. Watching highlights (in this case, not video), he's definitely a quick-twitch and a natural ball athlete. He looks tailor-made for slot corner and reminds me a lot of former Bills DB Tony Greene although a bit bigger all around. Clearly he is a special teams gunner extraordinaire and his speed and quickness are deadly on the slot corner blitz (unblockable). I didn't see him block any punts but it looks like he would be exceptional at it. All of the Bills picks have a strong chance of contributing as rookies. The first two guys are starters, the 3rd round wideout will get lots of reps in passing down sub packages, the first fourth rounder will challenge for a starting spot (over Morrison) and this kid Brooks looks to be perfectly suited for nickel corner playing the slot The Bills are suddenly quite deep at cornerback.
  18. Everyone say bye bye to Reggie Corner: STRENGTHS Brooks is athletic, knows how to cover receivers out of the slot and takes full advantage of his hip mobility and flexibility. He is a quick-twitch athlete with noticeable explosiveness. He is effective in coverage and can blitz when given the chance to rush full-speed from the edge. He can make plays all over the field, whether as a nickel corner, an offbeat edge rusher, or a gunner/cover man on special teams.
  19. The Bills have addressed all their primary needs at this point… so they can truly go BPA… and btw the people debating that subject aren't bringing up the inevitable situation where two players from different positions are very closely graded… in that situation it's obvious what you do. That is where the two arguments have common ground. Ron Brooks, CB LSU The South's gonna do it again…
