PFF previews all of tomorrows games
San Jose Bills Fan replied to Kemp2Warlick's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Stop adding value to the board. That's not how it's supposed to work. You're supposed to ask questions but not provide information. You're supposed to complain but not contribute intelligent discussion. What kind of place do you think they're running here? Good stuff here: "The Buffalo defense comes into this matchup having allowed more than four yards a carry after a big improvement in Week 2, though they still own our third-lowest cumulative run defense grade of -12.7 with just two players in the interior front seven having positive grades. Look for the Jets to attack the left side A-gap between Nick Mangold and Vladimir Ducasse – the gap where they’ve run most often and have been most successful. Conversely, Buffalo’s allowed 8.3 yards per carry between center and left guard, so the Jets should have some success there, especially against Marcel Dareus. Through two weeks, Colin Brown owns the distinction of the being the league’s lowest-rated player. Certainly Buffalo’s starting LG has had a tough draw in those games as he opened the season against Vince Wilfork and Chandler Jones of the Patriots. He then followed that up with a matchup against a stout Panther front, but Brown has put up little resistance. His efforts have been equally futile against the run and in pass protection, an overwhelmingly weak link on what’s been a strong line." -

^^^^^^^^^^^ Great anecdotes and awesome writing!!! You should post more often. -
You should edit your poll to include the two most deserving Bills players not on the wall: Butch Byrd: He is most remembered for a punt return in the 1965 American Football League Championship game against the San Diego Chargers. Byrd holds the Bills' career records for interceptions (40), interception return yards (666) and interceptions returned for touchdowns (5). He was a five-time American Football League All-Star, and was selected for the second team, All-Time All-AFL. Byrd is a 1980 inductee of the Boston University Hall of Fame, and in 2008 was selected to the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butch_Byrd Cookie Gilchrist: While with Buffalo, Gilchrist played fullback and kicked, though he insisted he could have played both ways. He was the first 1,000-yard American Football League rusher, with 1,096 yards in a 14-game schedule in 1962. That year he set the all-time AFL record for touchdowns with 13, and he earned AFL MVP honors. Gilchrist rushed for a professional football record 243 yards and five touchdowns in a single game against the New York Jets in 1963. Though he was with the Bills for only three years (1962–1964), he remains the team's fifth-leading rusher all-time, and led the league in scoring in each of his three years as a Bill. Gilchrist ran for 122 yards in the Bills' 1964 American Football League championship defeat of the San Diego Chargers, 20-7. His 4.5 yard/rush average is second as a Bill only to O.J. Simpson. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cookie_Gilchrist For these guys to be lumped into "other" invalidates the poll.

What is your favorite Bills memory
San Jose Bills Fan replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My favorite Bills memory is from last night when I dreamed that they won Super Bowl XLVIII. EJ won Super Bowl MVP. There was a blizzard in Met Life Stadium. The Seahawks didn't stand a chance. -
Quintessential 3-4 rushbacker. He invented the position.

Larry Holmes got his belt by defeating Norton in a 15 round epic. The fight was a split decision with all three judges having it tied entering the final round and scoring the fight 143-142. It's considered one of the greatest fights in boxing history. Holmes would end up defending that title 20 times before losing it to Michael Spinks however he said the Norton fight was the toughest of his 75 fight professional career. RIP Norton.

Country music stars bashing country music....
San Jose Bills Fan replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I've been saying what Petty said for the last 10 years at least. Mainstream, popular country music sucks. I love country music but I either listen to the classics or the alternative and non-Nashville country stuff. -
And two items in that report seem to tell about the predisposition in Santa Clara: "One would think someone with a person who was that drunk at that time of day would struggle to practice later in the day, but Smith did hit the practice field after making bail, and 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said Smith “seemed like he had his wits about him.” Still, the 49ers plan to put Smith on the field. They’ve said that any discipline is going to have to come from the NFL, because the 49ers have no intention of disciplining Smith." The Niners are being lenient with their star pass rusher.

How do we stack up against the Jets?

In the opener, Shane Vereen had a huge day against the Bills too. Like Amendola he didn't play against the Jests.
