  1. I didn't say that they would be better off not making it a public topic. I'm just pointing out the irony that by "putting it out there" that they are now coming under criticism for it. Also I didn't say or imply that the topic was "attracting so much criticism." I merely pointed out that it was "opening them to criticism."
  2. We can call Batten the Swiss Army Knife.
  3. Hmmm… did you read posts 5, 10, and 11? 'Cause I think those posts probably hit pretty close to the mark.
  4. LOL! "Bring inmate Blackmon, number 48026, to receptions…"
  5. I find this whole discussion to be a bit sadomasochistic. Sorry Farmer. I'll just leave now.
  6. Sounds like he could give Peter Piper a punt for his pesos. You mean he passed a peck of pillar-like pines?
  7. I was gonna start a poll regarding which one of these polls is better… this one of the other one. But maybe we should take a poll on that before I start a new poll.
  8. Of course! Kind of embarrassing me showing my age like that. I guess it's a generational thing.
  9. If you're so humble, how come you wear that outrageous getup?
  10. The Bills D was one of the best units in the league at forcing turnovers in spite of having zero pass rush. Projecting ahead…
  11. Floyd unlikely to start? Who's ahead of him besides Fitzgerald? Early Doucet? I would have thought he'd be a plug and play guy.
  12. Yeah the irony of the criticism is that if the Bills hadn't made Fitz' mechanics a public issue, then no one would have been the wiser for it. In other words it would not be the issue that it is now had they simply not made it a part of the public dialogue. For doing a good thing they've opened themselves to criticism which I understand because the finer criticism is that they/Fitz didn't do this sooner. Nonetheless the end result is that they're taking criticism for doing a good thing. Just looking forward to Tuesday's OTA session…
  13. Andra Davis was a shadow of his former self when last he played. The Bills had him in short-yardage defensive packages for a while and I recall him whiffing on ball carriers a couple of times… almost like he was avoiding contact which runs counter to the reputation he always had as a collision linebacker. One thing that Chixley mentioned about Shep last year is that he came in at around 275 pounds but because of the evolution to more 4-3 looks, they encouraged him to lose weight and by season's end he was down to about 240. Sorry no link but I believe that many others here inevitably read the same piece. Went looking for that link on Shep's weight. Haven't found it yet but I did find this video of The Thurman Thomas show where Thurman breaks down some video of Shep's 14 tackle performance in week 15 against the Chargers last year. http://www.buffalobills.com/media-center/videos/Week-15-Film-Session-Kelvin-Sheppard/5861761e-810b-4573-8c26-32c01c991845
  14. Are you talking about the famous Greek chemist, Adelphos Devekios? Also you spelled antenna incorrectly although I might have used the term "spider sense" anyways.
  15. Aside from forgetting the asterisks, I agree with your sentiments entirely.
  16. Mohr played for the Bills for 10 years. He played professionally for 16 years. I think TJs post was excellent.
  17. Yeah I thought Billsbikers post was hilarious too. I guess there's a difference between how someone treats his inner circle as opposed to his rank and file employees…
  18. When we drafted him I was calling him Nigel Bad Ass. I was also eager to find out whether he plays polo or engages in fox hunting.
  19. Interesting, Hopeful. I didn't know he had recently married. I contrasted VY's interview with Merriman's… two former stars who have fallen from grace and are trying to rebuild their careers. In spite of both being big stars at one time and being in similar career lulls, they come off as very different people. Merriman seems like he's the same guy he's always been. Vince Young strikes me as a changed man.
