  1. From the standpoint of commercial success it's arguable that they are less relevant. Unfortunately.
  2. Dude shouldn't be barefoot. It would be too easy to really phuck your foot up on a sailboat. My brother and I used to scour for any news back in the days that Connor and Ted Turner were vying to defend the America's Cup. I remember Intrepid vs Courageous and all that good stuff happening in Newport. Old monohull guy here who grew up sailing and racing out of Wilson, New York.
  3. Interestingly the Dolphins are favored in that game by anywhere from 1 to 3 points.
  4. Interesting thing about the Cheatriots*** vs Succaneers. The two teams spent a week practicing together as a lead up to their second preseason game. New England won 25-21 FWIW but the actual point is that the teams are extremely familiar with each other.
  5. Oh c'mon now. Everyone loves "The Final Countdown."
  6. I believe that Yahoo has a "Bleacher Report" side to their operations. Basically fan blogs stuff.
  7. Actually now that I think about it, Gillooly was only the "mastermind" and not the "trigger man."
  8. Well it's one thing to say that the run game will comeback and it's another thing to say that the fullback will have any role in the run game coming back. The point was made upthread about the rules continuously evolving in favor of the passing game. While I don't doubt the running game will swing back a bit, it's really a matter of how much. 9. Haven't given any thought to bold predictions this week but just to put something out there, I like road underdogs San Diego to beat Tennessee and St. Louis to beat Dallas.
  10. Nonsense: Last season, when defensive tackle DeMarcus Dobbs was arrested on similar charges after a single-car accident, they left him at home while the rest of the team traveled to St. Louis. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/09/20/add-possession-of-marijuana-to-aldon-smiths-list/ Maybe they can't suspend him but they can discipline him.
  11. There's no question that there's a generational divide and that players from the Bills AFL glory years are less relevant than players from more recent years. That said, the ignorance of fans shouldn't have any bearing on the historical importance of players and how those players are honored.
  12. I can chuckle about it but it's also pathetic. Such legal frivolity.
  13. An inability to express a coherent thought. Mmmmmm. Hannah Storm. I'll have some of that.
  14. Thanks for posting that. The one's that made me chuckle were #15 and #17. And of course this from Todd McShay:
