  1. Apparently he was brainwashed by Jauron. kala efharisto!
  2. Spinal Tap drummers… Grateful Dead keyboardists…

  4. You forgot Wilfork. Four great players and a bunch of question marks. Four great players… four difference makers, can take any team far. Only Gronk is entering his prime. The other three are in decline and their supporting cast is questionable at best. I predicted the decline of the Jets last year and I'm predicting the decline of the Patriots this year. As I said two years ago, teams are either trending up or they're trending down. It's usually not difficult to figure out which is which if you're a halfway knowledgable football fan.
  5. Shoulda used our designated sarcasm font. Off to work. Have a great day everyone. Looking forward to listening to the Murph show when I get home! Go Bills!
  6. Thanks, Captain OTM. Looking forward to the tour and the parties.
  7. Thanks for the great report, Dr. D. The discussion about Graham's size came from a handful of people who seem obsessed with the idea that he's a Roscoe Parrish clone. Sometimes people get crap stuck in their heads and can't get it out. I also am doubting that McGee will be able to stay healthy. He's been an excellent Bill and I'm pulling for him but we're gonna be fine at CB with or without him, IMO. Troup, Wood, and McGee were the big medical question marks entering camp. Chris White also was a bit of a question mark. As far as your jersey purchase, I wouldn't have done it if the quality control was bad. To spend that much money, you'd better get a flawless product. And you could have kept your vow without buying one of the (imperfect) jerseys they had at camp. Anyways, you shouldn't spend that money to settle for inferior quality (there's a Bills joke in there somewhere). Anyways, thanks again.
  8. It seems to me that in the recent past that they would often have one team's announcing crew for the first half and the other team's crew for the second half. Or am I dreaming this?
  9. As an ode to former Bills HC Chuck Knox, "Bob's Ground Chuck." My other team is "The San Jose Saints."
  10. Stevie tweaked his groin last year in the very first week of training camp and it hampered him all season long. It'll be great to see what he can do when he's actually fully healthy.
  11. One sentence. I can't get past the "minimalism" of the piece. The one thing I respect about people's work regardless of the quality, is the effort. It's always easy to tell when a writer has worked hard at their work and if a person is not talented enough to produce good quality, I'll give them a pass if they try hard. As for the #12 ranking, I'm glad training camp has started. The time for speculation is almost over. The time for results is growing close. Thirteen more days till the preseason opener!
  12. Let's see. The median income among those 25 or older in the U.S. with some college education is about $45,000 per year. Mario Williams got $19 million upfront signing bonus and $6 million base salary for 2012… so he's gonna make $25 million this year. So for every dollar made by the "average person" you multiply that by $555 to get what Mario makes. Thus if the average top quality California King set is $3500 (the guys is 6'7" and 290 pounds), multiply that by 555 and the equivalent cost to Mario is… $1.925 million. But seeing as the set is used and he's a Buffalo Bill, I'd offer it to him for $500K. Win-win for both sides.
  13. No. Luxy's writing off VY because he threw two picks in the very first workout of training camp during a practice that Luxy didn't even witness. Other overreaction takes on Big Cat's links( in parentheses):
  14. Linkholio: http://www.wgr550.com/ Very top right hand corner: "Listen Live" Sounds like Murph's interviewing Mark Anderson right now.
  15. The point I was making is that I'm pretty skeptical that between now and September 9th against the Jets (45 days), McGee remains healthy. On another point, the restructuring of McGee's contract makes it easier to keep him but it also makes it easier to cut him. Finally, there are examples of teams which have won with inexperienced corners. The Bills have nice veteran safeties so to me, having youth at cornerback is a non-concern. Cornerback is a position of instincts and athleticism, IMO.
  16. Kalil and Mangold are considered the best centers in football… Kalil bought a full page ad with his own money. The two situations seem kinda different to me.
  17. Tim Graham, in his fine blog, "Press Coverage" goes over some of the available options at safety (I don't think Peprah is mentioned). http://blogs.buffalonews.com/press-coverage/2012/07/bills-gm-buddy-nix-wants-safeties-in-numbers.html'>http://blogs.buffalonews.com/press-coverage/2012/07/bills-gm-buddy-nix-wants-safeties-in-numbers.html And for those not familiar with his blog, here's the link… you can rewind through all the posts. http://blogs.buffalonews.com/press-coverage/
  18. All kidding aside, my theory all along has been that the Cheating Bastards***** have done a poor job of player acquisition in the years 2006-2009. On the pro front they signed fading, big-name guys who rarely pan out. Draft-wise, since the departure of Dimitroff and Pioli they've not drafted that well, Gronkowski and Hernandez being noteworthy exceptions. From 2006 to 2009 they had 2 first round busts, 4 second round busts, and 4 3rd round busts. Their last two drafts have looked fairly decent though. The Buffalo News' Tim Graham has ranked the best players in the AFC East. The guys I mentioned, Brady, Welker, Gronk, and Wilfork are 4 of the top 7 best players in this division. Only Gronk is a relative newcomer. Matt Light has retired and Brian Waters may retire. Mankins is coming off a bad year. Much of their roster is either unproven or getting old. The fact they went to the Super Bowl last year could simply be the last hurrah of a once-great franchise which has been replacing great players with mediocre players.
  19. Brady, Welker, Gronkowski, and Wilfork. Any other questions you need the answer to?
