  1. I think the expectation was that he'd be booming them through the end zone fairly regularly.
  2. I have 5 readings left before I never read the news again. You're so lucky.
  3. No one reads anymore… they just watch videos. This country is going down the tubes.
  4. Probably need to merge threads. Anyways, among other things, this means Shawne Merriman is active.
  5. Good. I didn't want them taking Kyle Moore out of the lineup because of Merriman. Moore has been improving and needs to reps. Hopefully Merriman gets some of Kelsay's reps.
  6. My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Pinto Kenny and the Missus last week at the Biils-Cards Tailgate in Glendale. Complete gentleman, knowledgable, and friendly. We enjoyed a bowling ball shot and walked into the stadium together, the four of us. It was a thrill and a pleasure meeting Kenny and look forward to doing it again sometime soon. He's actually attended over 400 Bills games but today will be his 300th consecutive. I think you just have to say that he's the greatest Bills fan, hands down. Congratulations Kenny!
  7. No question. I'm not even taking this as anything other than a theoretical discussion. Person A insults person B unprovoked from a seemingly secure location. Person B breaches secure location and confronts Person A. What is a just outcome? Is Person B morally justified in breaching secure location and confronting Person A? Is physical retribution by Person B justified? Is a further escalation using weapons by Person A then justified? Should they engage only in discussion? What if Person A is very skilled in language and Person B isn't? Of course we don't know the particulars in this case but we can discuss it from the standpoint of what we do know. p.s.- People get into confrontations every day from road rage to other things. Is might right? What is the moral code?
  8. No I can't. But do you consider it to be the same thing? I don't. For one thing, it is acceptable behavior in one context but not in the other.
  9. Also, Hammer frequents this board. Here's his profile and you can pm him if you need info: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/user/350-hammered-a-lot/
  10. The map on that link appears to be very wrong. I've never been there but I'm told that it's on Abbott (Jim Kelly Boulevard) between 20A (Big Tree) on the south and 20 (Southwestern) on the north. Yeah, if you look at the map inset on his website it shows that he has two lots… one on each side of Abbott. Both lots are South of Glen Street and North of Allen Street. Here's a more accurate map: http://members.tripod.com/g_host/Hammer/index.html
  11. Yeah, because as we all know, yelling insults at an opposing player during a sporting event is the same thing as yelling insults at a person who happens to be walking by your house. Wow.
  12. I always thought that the circumstances surrounding that accident were kind of suspicious but I never saw a report which stated that he was intoxicated when he fell down those stairs. Regardless, even aside from that incident, there's evidence that he's not exactly conducted himself as a pro's pro.
  13. You'd better change back to your previous avatar. This one, while good, just doesn't carry with it the same effect.
  14. Part of survival is being aware of your surroundings. She deserves credit for not being as oblivious as others.
  15. I just saw where Williams split snaps with McGee so that might have had something to do with him getting through the Arizona game relatively unscathed.
  16. I guess a lot of off the field stuff too. Sounds like he needs to grow up a bit. But his talent is considered undeniable.
  17. That's interesting. I was introduced to "Stevie Johnson's dad" at the game last week in Arizona. We had a few beers together at halftime and the whole time I was thinking, "this guy does not look like the genetic father of an NFL player." He was about 5'7" and stout with smaller hands. I guess it was his step-Dad. Anyways, it was an interesting discussion perhaps more so because he was pretty tipsy.
  18. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/10/20/ravens-activate-terrell-suggs-cut-sergio-kindle/ I'm not saying "I've heard of him and therefore we should bring him in for a look/see (okay, maybe just a bit). What I am saying is that even the vaunted Ozzie Newsome isn't perfect all the time. Also FWIW, Terrence Cody is still not a starter although the guy who gets the primary playing time, Ma'ake Kemoeatu is one of those Tongan monsters, like a bigger version of Sione Pouha. I guess Kindle doesn't really fit into what we're doing defensively although my opinion has always been that IF a guy can play football and play it well, you find ways to make him effective.
  19. And Fitz had more or less a perfect score. I wonder what conclusions we could draw if any. Hypothetically we acquire Bowe and now have Spiller, Freddy, Stevie, and Bowe on top of one of the best O-lines in football. You wouldn't have any free agent QBs or high draftees thumbing their nose at playing for the Bills, that's for sure.
  20. In Arizona I sat besides an actual native Arizonan whose two sons took him to the game for his birthday. He was an elderly gentleman and this was only his second NFL game ever. The first one they went to, the Cards also lost so there was a small part of me that was hoping for a Cardinals victory. Anyways they were very nice people and it was heartwarming to sit with them.
  21. I keep hearing good buzz about a Georgia LB, Jarvis something or other.
  22. Well he got his skull fractured. What more should Kisi have done? Yeah, we got that the first time. It seems like witnesses would obviously be important in a case like this. Are you the sort of person who would yell insults at someone else unprovoked? I don't think so but it's weird that you're more stuck on your gun rights than simple, good behavior.
