  1. I never had a problem with the women of WNY, except sometimes getting them to go out with me.
  2. I agree with Rubes. I actually don't blame the defense that much in this game. Firstly that is a great offense those Cheatriots*** have. Secondly they gashed us for 580 yards and 33 first downs last time IN BUFFALO. Remember they kept running the ball down our throats, they averaged over 6 yards per rush? In this game there were a lot more defensive wrinkles and we had more first downs, more time of possession and held them to 347 yards and 5.1 yards per play versus 7.1 yards in the first meeting. Despite some dubious calls and a dropped INT, I thought the defense played pretty well in this one.
  3. Well in the continuing aftermath (and there's a game the day after tomorrow so hopefully the team has moved on), Stevie has legitimized Hamilton's criticism with a similar criticism and as I posted earlier, I agree that you go to your great players in these situations. ALSO Gailey has assumed a lot of the responsibility for that pick by stating that he should have made a different play call. It's too bad that the Bills didn't challenge the spot on the play where Spiller thought he scored a TD. The officials spotted the ball at the five when the replay clearly showed Spiller stepping out at the 4. In the confusion, the Bills were forced to call a timeout. If anyone in the booth was awake, they would have thrown the challenge flag, got a yard closer, and more importantly saved a timeout. Part of the failure of the Fitz int is that the team was rushing and disorganized. If they had a timeout left it would have been very helpful.
  4. In fairness, Jay didn't say a first rounder. He said an early draft pick. As I've posted numerous times this season, I wish the Bills had signed one of the big power backs available in this past free agency, Michael Bush, Mike Tolbert or Cedric Benson. I love the way New Orleans uses their running backs and would love to have a bruiser in the mix.
  5. Methinks thou doth protest too much Fergonius.
  6. I remember seeing video of him standing next to Terrell Owens and noticing that Owens looked more like a linebacker than did Maybin. Actually that was one of the few things that Maybin did that endeared me to him. Okily dokily.
  7. And to continue your thought, Cassel is one of the few QBs in the NFL that make me glad that we have Fitz instead.
  8. Yeah he gave Pittsburgh that Super Bowl over a much more deserving Seattle team. Must be nice when you have the refs hand you 3 first and goals from the one yard line when you're a road underdog. As for the game, once you remove the emotional partisanship from it, it really was a great game, except for the end.
  9. I'd have to see her body first. JK. Those are some well developed dimples she has.
  10. JW said "FWIW" (for what it's worth) and "to be fair" (Hamilton's college's hockey hall of fame vs high school participation). Your reply is a bit more headbashing than JWs.
  11. I would have called a play that was designed to go to (in order): CJ Spiller Stevie Johnson Scott Chandler It's too bad we ran out of timeouts, having burnt two of them on plays where Gailey could have and should have stopped the clock simply by throwing a challenge flag.
  12. Two points to the OP (and I'm not disagreeing with your entire post): 1) The Bills offensive line is much better than Chicago's. In fact the Bears O-line is probably the league's worst with the possible exception of the Eagles. 2) Yes, the Bills defense is a bigger problem than the offense however the Bills offense has been terrible at ball protection and has given the ball away 21 times which is the second-worst figure in the league. So when you evaluate offensive performance, you have to factor in that the Bills average losing the ball 2.33 times every game. That's a very bad number.
  13. For the 2nd time today in a crucial situation, Gailey burns a timeout when he should have simply thrown the challenge flag.
  14. I NEVER complain about officiating. What is Gilmore supposed to do when the wideout runs right into him?
  15. Yep. Talk is cheap and pointless. Opening their mouths gives them everything to lose and nothing to gain.
  16. Yeah, you can't count newbie coaches with less than 3 years on the job because that's the amount of time typically given a coach to prove his mettle. Once you disqualify that group, it's really hard to find a coach who hasn't been fired. The Harbaughs look like they'll be secure in their jobs for a very long time for sure.
  17. I look forward to the day that the NCAA has an 8-team playoff. I don't need any more than that but 4 teams is not enough, IMO.
  18. Looks like your avatar is dressed in a suit and tie and is drinking wine. Not exactly the stereotypical profile of a Bills fan, LOL.
  19. I think I just found another. As far as I can tell, Andy Reid has never been fired. That might change pretty soon though.
