  1. Yeah it seems like Jerry Angelo built a pretty nice roster overall (before he was fired) except for the O-line.
  2. Yeah, like we were talking about some teams just can't get out of the mire. The Bills, Cleveland, Detroit…
  3. This team used to be desperate for OTs. That's one hole that's seemingly been filled.
  4. Campbell played pretty well when he was with the Raiders. Then he got injured. It's tough for him tonight because the Niners defense is so good. It's arguable that Campbell's better than the guys the Bills have now. Is that enough to make people wish we'd made a play for him? I doubt it. Ironically no helmet to helmet contact and he popped right up.
  5. The Niners are 17 runs, 17 passes. They run 3 and 4 tight end sets. Music to my ears.
  6. I'm still a Nix supporter but he's made some questionable moves for sure. I wonder what he truly thinks about the Aaron Williams pick now, particularly while he's watching Kaepernick.
  7. Gibbs is underrated. Parcells won 2 Super Bowls with two different QBs also and neither of those guys was really elite. Simms was quite good though. Two great football coaches. Too bad we had to face them in the Super Bowls. Theisman was like Flutie. Like Flutie he played in Canada because he wasn't given a lot of respect by the NFL people and he wanted to be a starter. Like Flutie he had a bravado/arrogance which rubbed people the wrong way. Like Flutie he had a chip on his shoulder and was a field general/game manager but not a great QB from the measurables. Both players were winners. Dickerson hated Flutie and constantly disparaged him. He climbed the mountain 3 times in the NFL. In NASCAR he's won 6 championships. What's your point?
  8. I'm fine with the Marcel Dareus pick but I loved Aldon Smith, even more than I liked Robert Quinn. Ahmad Brooks is a guy the Bills twice could have signed. The Niners actually released him once (after he was released by the Bengals), then re-signed him. Then they gave him a lucrative extension. Brooks is as good a pass rusher as anyone on the Bills.
  9. This is true. There are a bunch of NFL teams which kind of trend up and down over the years. However there are certain teams which are consistent winners and others which are consistent losers.
  10. Haha. BTW, Gibbs won 3 Super Bowls with 3 different quarterbacks. Pretty damn impressive.
  11. No. I'm high on Andrew Luck. I'm just not sure that they will be able to build a team around him. I don't even know who's running their football department.
  12. I couldn't stand Coach Dickerson as far as his radio show went. He was a bitter, angry man who was 90% negative during a time when the Bills were actually still pretty good. He infected the minds of many younger Bills fans as far as I'm concerned with his crusades against certain individuals.
  13. True on Fitz. Just being optimistic. As for the Niners QBs, they traded up for Kaepernick and were using him in spots this season. I think he's pretty much been viewed as the Niners quarterback of the future. It's only a matter of when the future actually arrives. Should the Bills be interested in Alex Smith? I'm guessing that wouldn't be a popular idea.
  14. Aaron Williams. The draft went Williams, Andy Dalton, Colin Kaepernick.
  15. However I've always been skeptical that in a Super Bowl, that bulletin board material would really make a difference in motivating a team.
  16. LOL. Fitz has actually been throwing the ball much better in the last two games. Two possible explanations: 1) The bye week 2) All that work on his mechanics is finally starting to pay off
  17. He's looked good, very good. Coming out there were concerns about his throwing motion too. It looks like he's cleaned that up a bit.
  18. Here's an interesting link on quarterback throwing velocity. It shows the quarterback throwing velocity for the last 4 combines. A lot of people don't know that they measure this at the combine as it's rarely posted. But Kaepernick has an outrageously powerful arm. I think he was also as fast as Cam Newton in the 40 yard dash or at least within a few hundredths of a second. http://blogs.ourlads.com/2012/03/12/quarterback-ball-velocity-at-nfl-combine-2008-2012/
