  1. Vince was a few months short of 23 years old when he was a rookie. And Vince has continued to get better as he gets older. Marcel will be the same way. But Marcel was a 21 year old rookie.
  2. Yes. It has a bit to do with age, and it has a bit to do with body type. Also, I think Dareus is a late bloomer. I think he's gonna get leaner and meaner and better.
  3. Don't forget Aldon Smith. As for JJ Watt, he'd be at least as dominant if not more in a 4-3 scheme. He's a great football player and would be great in virtually any scenario. I loved him coming out but I loved a lot of players at the top of that draft. I think Dareus is gonna be a great player. People keep forgetting that he's only 22 years old. It looks to me like he still has some baby fat to melt and that he's gonna grow into a ridiculous force. Marcel never gives up on a play and shows great hustle and desire. There's no question in my mind that we'll all be very glad we drafted Marcel Dareus.
  4.  Only in spirit brothers. Please represent for all of us. GO BILLS!!!!!
  5. Yeah, holding training camp in the next largest city close to Buffalo was a stupid idea.
  6. RIP Ernie. A true Buffalo Bill and a true Buffalonian through and through.
  7. Yeah. That defense has been slowly losing good players to injury. First it was Brian Cushing, then Brooks Reed and Jonathan Joseph. And of course they let Mario walk in the offseason so they're not quite the same squad they were last year.
  8. Byrd is not a violent tackler. He'll never be confused with Adrian Wilson or Rodney Harrison but he's a very sure-handed tackler and has forced more than his share of fumbles using his football smarts. He's definitely not a liability in run support and I would rate him better than average.
  9. Great post. When you consider also that the Bills would have had to give up more than the Redskins did, you come to a point where the debate on both sides is valid because you're trying to find the balance of many different values.
  10. Not till we get to 500? This franchise has a total of 382 wins all time including playoffs. I don't think I can wait for us to get to 500 without at least chatting about the playoffs from time to time.
  11. Bill Chickweed? I wouldn't put too much credence into his football opinions. Isn't he the guy who was hanging out with Ken Kesey and the Grateful Dead up in those hills near La Honda?
  12. I don't think there's any question about the accuracy of your theory. I just wonder if it's Mayhew, Schwartz, or even higher in the organization than that.
  13. I dunno dude. To me BB is a very passionate Bills fan and NFL fan. He also has good knowledge of the college game. All these topics are optional and can be used for any purpose one can find, including having a little fun.
  14. Yeah they'd have to be willing to work together for the good of the team.
  15. How strange. The book on you is that you're a numbers guy, not a letters guy. I guess the scouting report we have on you is wrong.
  16. With that much athleticism and football smarts? I agree with those who say smashmouth is the only option. Any approach would be futile though.
  17. Seriously, there should be no ties in football. As in some other sports, if the game is tied after overtime, they should have a shootout to decide the winner. The teams could take turns attempting contested field goals from say the 30 yard line (47-48 yard FGA).
  18. We're talking about the Bills, not the Jills.
  19. The thing they don't tell you is that any regular battery will work in those things just as well.
  20. It's the least you could do after starting those two ridiculous threads.
  21. If taken to the logical extreme, we'd eventually end up with one really strong guy representing each team. facing each other in a contest of physical perserverance. Of course there would be a football involved. And the field could probably be made smaller too.
