  1. Which brings us to a conversation we haven't had yet. Do you think the folks in Cinci talk about whether the Bengals should have drafted Kaepernick instead of Dalton?
  2. He finally became a starter when Jeff Backus got injured.
  3. I think it was PT Barnum who said that "there's no such thing as bad publicity." In some cases it's more true than in others. I'm sure Adidas "has his back." Maybe but wouldn't it actually be worse for the NFL to prohibit endorsement deals than their current practice of fining players? I'd bet the players would prefer to have their own endorsement deals. It's even possible that this incident was premeditated. Criminal? It's a violation of the NFL players CBA but it's hardly criminal.
  4. That's funny because last year pre-draft, someone here posted a picture of Russell Wilson and said there's no way we should draft someone so goofy looking. I think we should remove goofy-looking as a criteria. I mean look at all the handsome QBs with swimsuit model girlfriends who can't play quarterback.
  5. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/153411-rotoworld-had-buffalo-as-the-number-1-landing-spot-for-vick/page__hl__vick
  6. Well at least that'll help his calcium synthesis. On the other hand if my skull was that large, I might lay off the Vitamin D too.
  7. As a rule I don't supplement too much. I try to eat a well-rounded diet. But it sounds like you should stop taking Zinc.
  8. In other words for instance, the difference between Andy Dalton and Colin Kaepernick?
  9. What if Fitz were to agree to a re-structured contract and the understanding that he would be a mentor and backup to the new QB?
  10. Assuming Nike is the "Official Outfitter of the NFL" it's pretty safe to assume that Nike paid a huge amount of money for this "honor" and that some of this money is diverted to the players.
  11. I'm not sure who "zinc" is but there's a difference between "overruled" and "recommended."
  12. T Master. By rule and law, you have to link the article. Besides, others might want to see the non-excerpted parts.
  13. As for the writing, I guess when judged from the standpoint of a former player, it's pretty good. Certainly Price is a better writer than Matt Bowen and possibly better than Ross Tucker. As for Rex, I find him to be a very likable guy and I think he's really straight forward and not terribly complex. What you see with Rex is what you get. As for the thesis of the piece, Pryce seems optimistic that Rex will fix his fatal flaws. I wonder why he feels this way? It could just as easily be concluded that Rex will never change. Possibly Pryce takes the optimistic view because he likes Rex.
  14. I I lost track of this topic when it was moved to "Off the Wall." The interesting thing about Toradol is that it's so effective that there are probably a very large percentage of players who won't/can't play without it. NFL football is such a violent sport that I think most people can't even conceive of how much pain these players endure. Many of them have acute and chronic pain every waking moment of their lives. That's why so many have become addicted to painkillers. The thing about Toradol is that it's a non-narcotic anti-inflammatory and not considered to be physically addictive but certainly I think it could be psychologically addicting for people who are tormented by constant pain. Anyways it's a very interesting discussion because both sides want the players to be able to take Toradol but neither side wants to have the liability/responsibility of the players having taken it. Such is the landscape of things since head injuries became a major issue. People are trying to shed liability as they should. It's an interesting dance and I'm not sure what the outcome will be.
  15. I don't recall this being posted in this topic. It's JW's piece on the lease. There are some interesting details throughout so read attentively. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ny-official-state-nfls-bills-143955623--nfl.html
  16. Refresh my memory on your plan to upgrade the Bills quarterbacks?
  17. Great news!!! There are no guarantees in life other than that we will all die someday. But this lease is surprisingly restrictive to the Bills, and gives the deal makers more time to plot out the longer term plan to keep the Bills in Western New York. IMO, this greatly increases the likelihood of the Bills staying put, even beyond the term of this lease.
  18. Brady's done well with minimal talent earlier in his career. And the Pats offense has been humming without Gronkowski, a person who every expert thought was essential to New England's offensive success. So what would you be willing to give up for Mallett? AC, you need to hop in that white Bronco and take a little ride. In fact take a long ride. We'll likely release Erik Pears? Didn't the Bills just sign him to an extension one year ago? Yeah I disagree with the idea of trying to acquire former Cheatriots*** especially with Brady's track record of making his teammates better.
  19. First of all, I think we'd all wish that our quarterback sons played for a very dynamic genius like Bill Walsh but that's not the point. Chan has never really coached a very talented quarterback so I can't say what degree of grey he would succeed or fail at and it's not a black and white issue. For all we know he'd be a great quarterbacks coach if he had a gifted pupil. Or more good than bad. I don't know so I can't say. He's probably a bad head coach though.
