  1. When a team plays like crap, you don't say they have bad stats. You say they've played poorly. Is that clear enough?
  2. Clearly you don't understand. Stats are a reflection of play. Not the other way around.
  3. This is very possible. It's hard for me to believe that the playcalling/gameplan calls for 2-3 yard passes.
  4. Lot of criticism of the playcalling but watching on TV, there's no way of knowing if the QB is not seeing the field. Stats are meaningless. The salient point is that EJ's played very poorly.
  5. He looked jittery against the Jets. The pass pro wasn't good in that game but EJ made it worse by his lack of poise.
  6. Dude. Read my posts. Different subject: Dumb ass move by Stevie spinning the ball. Perilously close to taunting. Lucky he got away with it. If I were a head coach, players would absolutely not be allowed to spin the ball.
  7. It's his mechanics as I've already stated. The finger points to EJ not learning well or Hackett not coaching well. Yes. But his parents gave him a manly name, Guy. Apparently it was either going to be Guy or Buck.
  8. Considering this is the 5th game of his career, that excuse hasn't been used yet.
  9. 5th game is 5th game. With very few exceptions, a rookie QB is gonna look like a rookie QB. I understand and accept that some people have no patience.
  10. You knew that going in. Play tight, dare the Bills to beat them over the top. Yep. He didn't climb the pocket on that 3rd down pass, had bad footwork, and missed Stevie. Either Hackett's not doing a good enough job coaching or EJ isn' doing a good enough job listening. This was happening against the Jets and Cleveland too.
  11. Well now that we're talking about it, there's a few questions. How much does a player cost and what is his value? It's probably a topic for another post but who is the Bills best player regardless of compensation? Who's in the discussion for that title? Is it the highest-paid player on the team or is it someone else? Also who is the Bills best dollar for dollar value? Is it the same player? Is it a different player?
  12. That would be my guess. It's a reasonable assumption at this point. Hopefully we're wrong. Regardless, really excited that EJs healthy and starting. I was really looking forward to watching his growth this year and it's been a bummer that he hasn't been out there, win or lose.
  13. Way to wheel out the welcome wagon. Great post. . As a matter of fact, where you'll be will be under ground. At least relative to the outside grade of the stadium. Don't pregame warmups start around an hour before kickoff? You might want to consider being in your seats for that. BTW, besides flying the colors, will you be wearing a jersey? Oh. And welcome to the board. Hate the Jets but respect to you and yours.
  14. I much prefer drafting your future stars and adding value free agents. In fact I wasn't much for the signing of Mario Williams but as long as he's here, I'll cheer for him.
  15. Very true. Look at a guy like Ron Brooks. When he played at LSU he mostly played in the slot from what I saw. I expect Brooks to become a good player but right now he's behind Robey. I know size worked against Robey but how big do you have to be to cover the Wes Welker's of the world?
  16. As I said in another thread, if the game was determined solely by what happens in the trenches, the Bills would win. However the game is also decided by skill players on both sides of the ball. It should be a competitive game in a league known for competitive games. Hopefully the Bills break it open late so we can actually enjoy some of the 4th quarter.
  17. Wow. Did someone really compare him to a Pro Bowl player?
