Arians is a good candidate. I'm not gonna let this devolve into a Tebow debate. Believe what you want. If Tebow is a bona fide NFL QB, he'll get another chance with his third team.

I like Gruden's credentials though I'll admit when I watch the Bengals it seems to me that their offense basically consists of Dalton throwing to AJ Green. In other words, I haven't been impressed with their offense. Now this might be because Dalton has limitations or other reasons not related to Gruden's coaching. Certainly Gruden has an excellent resume, credentials, and pedigree. Similar to the Harbaughs, the Grudens were raised by a father who was a lifetime NFL coach and scout.

And they tried signing Whitner during the season and Poz after the season. Whitner ended up signing for less than the Bills offered him. Poz took a very similar offer to move on.

Hit fungos? I think big league teams do that too. Pretty sure Nix did according to reports. You can't hold a gun to someone's head and force them to sign though. Especially when they're gonna have a poke at the open market.

The other thing about Lovie (like all these GM/Head Coach pairings) is that you have to figure out who to blame for what. The Bears GM Jerry Angelo was fired before the 2012 season so that implies that some of the problems Lovie had to deal with were not of his own making.

Many of here are baby boomers who watched Gilligan's Island while growing up. We like the idea of someone named Lovie. It makes us happy. As I pointed out in another thread, the Chiefs have 5 Pro Bowlers and 2 Pro Bowl alternates this season. Pioli has done a decent job of player acquisition but he's whiffed on coaching hires as well as on the Matt Cassel move.

Absolutely. With 8-10 coaches and as many as 7 GM on the hot seat, this team has to position themselves strategically and decisively. It's gonna be a very competitive market.
