  1. I'm just talking about the chicken vs egg thing ie- do you get the QB first or can you build a platform for him and get him last? Maybe we were misunderstanding each other.
  2. Apparently he's played at least a part of the season with a bum shoulder. That would explain some of the recent scouting statements about his arm strength and the fact that he's missing the team's bowl game. However I've never watched the guy so I wonder how his arm looked last year.
  3. I actually like the fact that the team appears capable of multi-tasking during this critical time. Seems like with all the job openings that the Bills will have to move quickly and decisively.
  4. He makes a good donut but as a head coach? No thanks.
  5. This is a great idea. I'm gonna look at the calendar and see what's coming up.
  6. So the fact that he's a 3-time Pro Bowler, a second-team All Pro, and the captain of every team he's ever played on makes him "an average starting NFL linebacker?" I'll have to file that one away for future reference.
  7. Harbaugh played quarterback in the NFL for 14 seasons. After that he was a college assistant for 7 seasons, coached in the NFL for 2 seasons and was a college head coach for 7 seasons. The point that's being made about Chip Kelly that you seem to be missing is that Kelly has never set foot in an NFL locker room. Not as a player, not as a coach. FWIW, Chip Kelly never played college football. Do you think that veteran NFL players are just gonna accept as their leader a guy who didn't play college football and never coached in the NFL?
  8. Maybe they could ask Lindy Ruff (and do the opposite)?
  9. No offense intended but why should I trust your opinion more than I trust my own? And aren't Bears fans likely to be just as misinformed as Bills fans or any NFL fans (ie- Steelers fans wanting to fire Tomlin)? Why would I want to trust the opinion of "Bears fans?"
  10. Aha! Yes, Special Teams coaches occasionally get head coaching jobs. But not often.
  11. You mean this is "The Reverse Rooney Rule?"
  12. I like Trestman. This is already being discussed in another thread. I would be worried about his ability to put together a good staff. Who would he hire as his DC? But as a coach, I love Trestman. As a CEO, I'm a bit less sure.
