    Two thoughts: 1) Rooney Rule (sorry No Saint, just stating the fact that he's a minority) 2) Possible Offensive Coordinator (that's his background) Perhaps he has some history with some of the other coaching candidates and the Bills are exploring what pieces they can possibly fit together?

    Kyle Shanahan just turned 33 years old. He's a bit on the young side for an NFL head coach. He's been a coach for all of 9 years. He's a little bit green to say the least. On top of that, you don't know if Kyle is "Dad Shanny's" version of Curtis Modkins. You don't know if he's really bringing anything to the table.

    I hope Nix gets the hire right this time. I wonder if Whaley and Brandon will be more proactive about being in the checks and balances during this process than they were when Gailey was hired. It seems like it because I know Brandon said that they will all (he, Nix, Whaley) be going to Arizona along with Jim Overdorf.

    Thurman was a remarkably durable player. As to the OP, while the listed measurables may indicate that Spiller is the larger man, Thurman (at least relative to his contemporaries) was a bigger player than Spiller and gained many of his yards between the tackles, unlike Spiller.

    I didn't see the bolded until the end. I think there are plenty of GMs who've had the opportunity to pick a second head coach. Two weeks ago I predicted that Gailey would be fired and that Nix would get another shot at hiring a head coach.

    Okay. The odds against success. I'm skeptical of Chip Kelly and Petersen for this very reason however it was recently pointed by out by Garranimal that Jimmy Johnson had zero NFL coaching experience before leading the Cowboys to their Super Bowl Championships. So I guess it can be done. But I'm personally hoping the Bills hire a guy with extensive NFL experience.
