  1. I probably said it 4-5 times before the season started and I'll say it again. Kyle was hobbled last year with the bone spurs which caused his achilles tendon to inflame. He had the same problem the year before with the other foot. The last time Kyle was truly healthy was in 2010 when he was named All-Pro. That was the year he also made the Pro Bowl and was named Pro Football Focus' Defensive Player of the Year.
  2. I breathe when I exercise and thus, can maintain my perspective. It's the knee jerks who exercise anaerobically. That's due to the fact that their brain function is poor because it's starved for oxygen. More people here should take a deep breath before using their airways for other things.
  3. Kudos to those who took the Panthers! Uncatchable ball.
  4. It's not his fault that he was overdrafted by the Fins. That said, he's a nice piece for an OC to play with. Speed is speed and Ginn is also pretty elusive.
  5. New England's offense continues to trend upwards. Combination of them getting healthy and the young receivers improving. They really have a nice power football component to their offense and it looks like they'll again be a legit Super Bowl contender.
  6. I agree that they're one good weapon from having a really nice arsenal.
  7. Cam's supporting cast is just fine. DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, and Mike Tolbert have a legitimate case for being the top NFL RB trio. Steve Smith is Steve Smith. LaFell is an improving player. Ginn is a field stretching sub package guy and Olson is one of the better pass catching TEs in the NFL. Most of these guys were proven good players before Cam entered the picture. Cam has to prove that he's the kind of NFL QB who improves those around him.
  8. I think so. I think Rivera was on the hot seat last year too and then they got hot at the end to save his job.
  9. He's becoming a QB of great statue. I don't really know what's happened to the Panthers since we played against them. All I know is that Rivera was on the hot seat and then they turned things around. Don't know the specifics though. Jeffie?
  10. There's no doubt that his improved pocket presents has helped his self of steam.
  11. I'd like to see him deported. I have a birther friend who's pretty convinced that he's an illegal. Now Steve Smith? There's a name that any American can get behind! Keuchly was one Talib neuron from getting a personal foul on that one.
  12. With a name like that, I betcha he wasn't even born in this country.
  13. Steve Smith. Possibly the baddest pound for pound football player of his generation. He would kill Talib in a steel cage match.
  14. Anyone care to compare how last year's 3 prize rookies are doing this year compared to their rookie seasons? Have they gotten better? Have they regressed? What about Kaepernick who's in his 3rd year? Anyone care to talk about Locker, Gabbert, or Ponder, all of whom were drafted more highly than EJ? Who exactly are we supposed to be comparing EJ to? Maybe some of the posters here should consider these questions.
  15. The books: Carolina -3 Over/Under 47 points. I like New England straight up.
  16. If you want to be bipolar and overreactionary on a weekly basis that's your business. I'll continue to evaluate EJ as a somewhat raw rookie who missed half of the preseason, and missed 4 consecutive regular season games before having to re-enter the fray in Pittsburgh against a Dick LeBeau defense (17-3 against rookie QBs). In other words I'll be in that group of people who exercise perspective. But don't let that prevent you from being in that group of people who react first and think later. It takes all types.
  17. You were the model "visiting fan of a hated rival team." I still hate the Jets big time but have tons of respect for you. You show very good character! Best of luck and happy holidays!
  18. The upper deck at the old Yankee Stadium was pretty steep.
  19. My thoughts are that you're very knee jerky. This is kind of reminiscent of when Maybin signed with the Jets except not quite as bad (thank god).
  20. Okay. Jeremy is talking about the previous setup. Good god.
  21. Exactly. So Hackett was on the sidelines today, why would there by any delay in getting the calls in to EJ?
