  1. Hard to watch a blowout under any circumstances.
  2. That wasn't the complete tweet. He added: "The hypocrisy of leaving University Park after pleading with the majority of the roster to maintain their commitments to the school would garner too much public scorn and would be tantamount to character suicide. While those are the values espoused by Belichick, I simply can't leave the school at this time. Maybe next year." Weird. Seems like more than 140 characters.
  3. Both of you used some of the same words. Yes. No. I don't know. /flies off the Bridge of Death Maybe as OC for Horton? Possibly a graceful escape route from Pittsburgh where his relationship with Big Ben has been "difficult" at best? BTW, Haley never played football at any level.
  4. He definitely watched a lot of football in the 90s!
  5. I guess at the time I was too busy emulating "The Dude" to remember. Thanks for the info.
  6. Great point! Spiller wouldn't last one quarter in that offense! Stop trying to brainwash me. I've already been brainwashed by ESPN.
  7. Enjoyed the Big Lebowski. Didn't remember Stormare being in it.
  8. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/01/03/polian-thinks-moneyball-wont-work-in-nfl/ “As a practical tool, Moneyball does not work in the NFL because there are very few undervalued players and no middle class because of our salary cap,” Polian said. “There is no middle class in football because the minimum salaries are so high, and because of the salary cap, a player will reach a point where you can’t keep him. They go. They’re going to get big money elsewhere.” Mods, feel free to merge. I thought because of Polian it might deserve its own topic.
  9. No doubt. T.O. didn't even have to do anything and he got a key to the city.
  10. Yeah it was weird watching Lovie wearing a glove on his right hand. In a domed stadium. I'm going to hell anyways.
  11. I'm not against hiring Chip Kelly. But I have serious reservations about him.
  12. What are they offering him to stay? Sorry. Too soon.
  13. Hopefully not in the same way Jim Schwartz dreams of having Jahvid Best. “Some people watch adult videos on their computer,” Schwartz said. “I go to YouTube and watch Jahvid Best highlight clips. That’s what gets me aroused.”
  14. The understanding on why the Bills have been historically bad will be based on whoever you ask. No consensus will arise from the discussion. But I'll take my own advice and recuse myself from a thread which has outlived its usefulness. Sorry.
  15. As others have pointed out, you're very wrong. Also besides Harbaugh's 2 years as an NFL assistant, he played quarterback for 15 years in the NFL. He was a 4 year letterman as the Michigan QB and was an All-American. Chip Kelly didn't even play college football.
  16. Yeah it's a bad comparison. At least Nick Saban spent 6 years as an NFL assistant before he got an NFL head coaching job. Again, Kelly has never stood on an NFL sideline. He has never been in an NFL locker room.
  17. I guess it could help but I'm thinking if you're an NFL QB wearing a play pad on your wrist, the only difference is that the plays get in more quickly. They're radioed into the huddle in the pros while they're signaled in college.
  18. Aaron Rodgers is a good example of how important the mental part of the game is. There are other QBs who have similar physical talents (Tony Romo is almost a carbon copy) but it's Rodgers' head which separates him. Same with Peyton and Brady.
  19. Those guys are wrong. All you need is a good quarterback. I disagree with your bolded statement. JMO but I think Horton is ready to be his own man. While it could happen, I don't think it's likely that Whiz or Horton end up working with each other at this point. And what is your opinion of the job that Cardinals GM Rod Graves (Whisenhunt's boss) did in Glendale?
