  1. Well considering that people were already bellyaching in anticipation that we wouldn't even get to interview Kelly…

  5. Wow. Stealth. We were all led to believe that the Lovie interview would take place on the weekend.
  6. One other thing. In spite of running the ball a lot and extending plays, it didn't seem to me that he took much punishment. Seems like his outstanding football instincts include the ability to avoid taking a beating. Some quarterbacks on the other hand seem to attract beatings, bring it on themselves.
  7. It sure was a TD though. That was a brilliant football performance. What a football player.
  8. You're certainly entitled to your opinion. It might carry more weight if you actually read the article.
  9. Next time we're having a disagreement about smash-mouth football on TSW, I'm gonna turn all you guys in.
  10. Don't worry about him. He's loose with the facts. In all the forums.
  11. Stoops has been in Norman forever. Isn't this the same offense that Bradford won the Heisman with as a redshirt freshman?
  12. Not only that. It would explain his ability to master the football even on plays where he exhibits unorthodox mechanics. Besides their height, Manziel couldn't be more different than Drew Brees but one thing which is a great equalizer for Brees is his 10.5" hands. If Manziel has big paws that's promising even if he doesn't get taller.
  13. Yeah build-wise Wilson is pretty strong. Reminds me of a smaller version of McNair.
  14. Not directed at you specifically but cue the Aaron Maybin comparisons.
  15. The fact that the Bills are meeting with Kelly tonight is a positive. Rest assured that not everyone will see it that way between those who don't want to see him hired by the Bills and by those who feel the Bills will lose the "Kelly Sweepstakes."
  16. BTW, in spite of his very unorthodox throwing style (what some would characterize as bad mechanics) Manziel has looked very accurate. In that particular regard, I think the earlier comparison to Favre is legit too.
  17. So anyways Kelly, I wasn't saying that they're the identical player. Only that they have some remarkable similarities. IMO.
  18. They're both great athletes who can hurt you with their legs and use their legs to extend plays to break down the defense. They're both accurate throwers. They're both creative in their ad libs. Neither has prototypical size.
  19. Manziel's quite artistic in the same way that a point guard is in basketball. He creates angles and leverages that most quarterbacks don't see, because they don't create them. How would you feel about Manziel if you heard a pro scout say (next year), "he's a slightly larger version of Russell Wilson?"
  20. Manziel's an exciting player. I'll agree with that.
  21. The obvious question to me is how he compares to Sam Bradford. The other questions on my mind is what kind of coaching has he gotten at OU? It's hard to evaluate a guy like him. So many variables. Seems like a diamond in the rough but you don't draft those guys in the high first round. You'd prefer to draft a finished or near-finished product.
  22. Until I hear it from Chris Trapasso I won't believe it.
