Lovie was the head coach in Chicago for 9 years. He's gonna make whatever his contract calls for ($3-5 million?) this year whether he coaches or not. It would be strange to me that he coach this year if he doesn't get another head coaching position. IMO, the persistent Lovie stuff is ultimately not realistic.

Some of us know that Nix has reduced power. Others don't see it that way. This hire is a pretty emphatic piece of evidence however so there's less conjecture than there was even on Tuesday.

And good physical running attacks. The weakest unit on the field aside from special teams is probably the Washington defense. But they have home field advantage.

Yeah you'd think he'll re-sign. On a related subject I get the argument that he's not the field stretcher that we'd like to see but a great player is always an asset.

Like you say, we may never find out. But I agree with you. And if it is the case where Whaley and Brandon were the prime movers here, it would lend credence to the idea that Nix is being phased out. That would be a blow to the "literalists" who decided to believe Brandon at his word in Tuesday's press conference that Nix would remain GM with "no loss of power." Funny how some people who are typically cynical could suddenly become so believing.

My comments were not totally directed at you. After reading 40+ pages of petty backstabbing among Bills fans, I'm tilting at windmills a bit here. I'm criticizing a composite, imaginary Bills "fan." I didn't mean to indict you. Sorry.

That's impossible. And even if it was possible, we're not allowed to say so. And no gloating either. We suck so we can't claim success in anything. Because some of our fans say so.
