  1. And what are your thoughts on the Kennedy Assassination? 9/11 ? I think the problem people have with this is that it's hard to believe that this guy is worthy of even being camp fodder. But I guess a fourth stringer is a fourth stringer.
  2. You'd have hoped they learned that lesson when they surreptitiously extended Jauron. But they didn't learn the lesson. This team has a way of making bad decisions. I don't know if regret is the right word but Tannenbaum did take responsibility for the Tebow trade after he was fired. Tannenbaum referred to it as "just a trade that didn't work out,” which is kind of like saying “beer is occasionally available in New Orleans.” Tannenbaum said the idea initially stemmed from their desire to replace Brad Smith as their run-option quarterback, and the hiring of Tony Sparano with Wildcat background made it seem like a perfect fit. “We thought there was a role for him,” Tannenbaum said. “Working with Rex every day, and seeing the way the league has evolved with the ball being in the quarterback’s hands and making plays with your feet, we thought it would give us a chance to make our offense more dynamic. It just didn’t work out that way.” http://profootballta...didnt-work-out/
  3. I thought we established that Tyler Bray is only 5'6" tall? Although to the eye and based on the scouting report in this thread, Glennon is skinnier than Flacco.
  4. I love good prose and good writing as much as I love anything. But for subjects like this, I prefer more charts and less prose. Just enough prose to explain the charts.
  5. That one photo of him catching a pass while balancing on a stool is karate kid-esque. I wish I could see what his hands are doing in the first photo where he's got slings around his legs while he's in a semi-squat. Looks like he's doing some specialized training. Clearly he's doing body-weight with the middle photo…pull ups. What can you tell of his workout, BB?
  6. I agree. Since this topic was started, the rumors of Dixon to Philly have come true and I don't see the Eagles drafting a QB in the first round. Are you disagreeing with all of us or just some of us? The core of your post is excellent and I think some people here are still not taking this into account. Considering the Bills QB situation, in light of recent history and the trend towards overdrafting QBs, I think the Bills would be justified in taking a QB at #8. I just hope it works out if they do.

  8. Very nice value list. As for the Kyle error, it was pretty obvious who you were talking about.
  9. Congratulations to you and your wife, Bandit! Best to Jimbo and to the memory of Hunter.
  10. Wow. No wonder Tannenbaum is gone. Also, it's gonna be hard for Rex to get out of this situation with a happy ending.
  11. The scenario where it would happen is one where Harris becomes a salary cap casualty.
  12. If you read the linked articles, the premium is about $40K and I believe it breaks some sort of NCAA rules to have someone else pay it for you. So insurance policies are pretty problematic. And that's before you get into the so-called benefits.
  13. As Tcali can tell you, we played tackle football growing up ALL THE TIME. And this was before we were old enough to play little league although some of the kids we played with were older and played little league. There was never any serious injuries. Because of a fairly lengthy combination of factors, kids of a certain age have a way of being impervious to injuries.
  14. I largely agree. While I was more thrilled with the Bills handing out big contracts than with the players they gave them to, I still think that Wanny was a complete and utter disaster and that we'll see decent ROIs with Mario and Anderson this year.
  15. As others have pointed out, a restructure is also distinct from a simple pay cut so Keep Fitz with pay cut would also be a choice.
  16. LOL. Yeah OP got the first AND the last name wrong. I wonder how he would spell Roethlisberger. http://www.theonion.com/articles/pittsburgh-school-district-leads-nation-in-ability,2861/ (And you have to click the link, if only for the photo)
  17. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/02/13/jets-cap-mess-illustrates-gap-between-players/ Albert Breer of NFL Network points out that 10 players account for $110 million under the Jets’ salary cap in 2013. Per Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, three men count for $38.3 million: quarterback Mark Sanchez, receiver Santonio Holmes, and linebacker David Harris. But with Sanchez and Holmes each having guaranteed contracts for 2013, the Jets’ overall flexibility is limited.
  18. Great avatar and unfortunately very fitting for Buffalo Bills discussions.
  19. Not saying Landry isn't using PEDs but notice that Landry actually has a good frame for bulk. He doesn't have narrow-diameter bones like a certain wideout we drafted who was masquerading as a DE. FWIW (not much because body type is more important than height/weight) Landry is listed at 6'0" and 220.
  20. On the idea of providing financial safety nets for the players, there's the idea of "Darwinism" (used loosely) in this whole discussion. Some of these players will financially survive and others will not. It's partly a question as to what duties and responsibilities if any, an entity (ie- industry, government) should exercise over its people.
