  1. JohnC, There are very valid reasons why former Bills such as London Fletcher, Takeo Spikes, Antoine Winfield, Jabbari Greer, etc are looked upon fondly and positively and very valid reasons why guys like Jason Peters, Marshawn Lynch, and Donte Whitner are not.
  2. Well it's not really a revelation that the NFL draft is an inexact science.
  3. Interesting question though, Jim Kelly or Bruce Smith. Most likely Kelly.
  4. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/155753-colts-say-they-wont-resign-freeney/
  5. That's where you would be wrong. There seem to be lots of people here who think CJ is an every-down back.
  6. Marrone said in his statement that he had told TJax and Fitz that there would be an open competition for the job. 1) Does that sound like the Bills are trying to coerce Fitz into restructuring? 2) Would Marrone even mention Fitz if there was some doubt about him being in the team's plans?
  7. Update: Lomas Brown and Scott Mitchell are now friends: http://www.detroitlions.com/news/ohara/article-1/Lomas-Brown-acknowledges-his-ESPN-comments-regarding-Scott-Mitchell/e7391d1b-78ff-4c9a-af47-a3a7e42513c1 Brown was severely criticized for making the comments. Even Brown agrees that the criticism was warranted. Brown quickly apologized on ESPN, and played back the interview to hear himself. "That was the most hurtful part, how I said it," Brown said. "You can hear the excitement in my voice. It was just wrong. I just really made myself sick when I heard myself." Brown said he called Mitchell to discuss the comments, and said they had a long conversation and parted as friends. He would not have blamed Mitchell if he hadn’t forgiven him, Brown said. "It was foolish," Brown said. "If that would have been me getting a phone call from me after what I said, I wouldn't have reacted the way Scott reacted," Brown said. "I would have been mad. I wouldn't have been laughing on the phone with me. "Scott wasn’t like that."
  8. Rumors emerging that the Rams will cut Titus Young, 10 days after claiming him off waivers: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/02/15/rams-wont-comment-on-report-titus-young-will-be-cut/
  9. They didn't give him a Tupperware half-filled with chopped horse meat. At face value (the official statement), Fitz will be competing for the starting job.
  10. Hopefully he gives the Bills a club-friendly deal but until it's done, I'm not holding my breath. Well as I pointed out, we do know he was set to become an unrestricted free agent...
  11. Clearly "they" didn't know what they were talking about if they included Thigpen in the conversation. You might get used to the idea. There are many people here who don't ever want to see Fitz play another down of football for the Buffalo Bills. However many of those same people are resigned to the fact that cutting Fitz makes zero sense from an economic standpoint.
  12. Salient points: 1) TJax was to have become an unrestricted free agent yet he re-signs with the Bills. 2) The Bills now have 3 QBs under contract: Fitz, TJax, and Aaron "Air" Corp.
  13. I'm aware of the potential problems of a hardship exemption. I saw it done by the NBA for many years.
  14. Rich Cimini reports that LaRon Landry wants a contract that will average $6 million per season: http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/jets/post/_/id/20749/positional-analysis-secondary-2
  15. http://profootballta...n-quarterbacks/ This year, with a thinner-than-usual crop of elite quarterbacks, Gruden will go beyond the most important position on the field, sitting down with Texas A&M tackle Luke Joeckel, South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore, and — yes — Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o. The quarterbacks who’ll get the Gruden treatment include USC’s Matt Barkley, Tyler Bray of Tennessee, Miami (Ohio) product Zac Dysert, N.C. State’s Mike Glennon, Landry Jones of Oklahoma, Florida State Seminole E.J. Manuel, Ryan Nassib of Syracuse, West Virginia’s Geno Smith, and Tyler Wilson of Arkansas. Air dates and times have not yet been determined.
  16. One possible route for the NFL would be to make available a hardship exemption, allowing some players to appeal to be eligible for the draft. Just a thought.
  17. How many cents? And then McCutcheon became a Buffalo Bill. Thanks for digging this up. It probably took some doing. All the best to #24. An awesome person and player and an All-Time Favorite.
