  1. You're still confused. Most people here would take Barkley over Fitz. Most people believe the Bills will draft a quarterback. The discussion is about whether Barkley is the best prospect, NOT whether he's better than Fitz.
  2. If you're talking about that 11 minute video that was posted here yesterday, Bray also made several throws which made you appreciate his immense talent. AT least they made me appreciate his immense talent. IMO Bray like Manuel, is a diamond-in-the-rough. Mechanically the thing I liked the least is that he sometimes slings the ball from a low release point. I wonder how his coaching at Tennessee was?
  3. Or Cousins, take your pick. I can believe you're saying this because it's become clear that's what they're gonna do.
  4. Hasn't he pretty much underachieved so far in his career? And he'll be fielding multiple offers? I bet there are guys in this free agent class who will do as well and cost less.
  5. So you would or wouldn't pick him at #40?
  6. You fell right into my trap. You are Mack Yoho aren't you? A half a foot?
  7. And thank you for your considerable contribution. I'm in that small but vocal group who would be perfectly fine burning two draft picks on QBs a la RGIII and Cousins. That's why I think you double your odds. The veal? You are a meathead.
  8. You're muddling two different things: 1) Barkley compared to Fitz. 2) Barkley compared to other QBs we could draft instead. Anyways, the reason Barkley isn't throwing: he hasn't been medically cleared to throw. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000139967/article/matt-barkley-will-not-throw-at-nfl-scouting-combine
  9. This is true. The fact that Kelsay remains after Barnett, Wilson, and McGee were released tells me that the new regime wants Kelsay as part of their team. While I find that personally disturbing, I believe they've made up their minds on him.
  10. Exactly, The consensus in that thread is you don't waste too much time with the guy. Tryout? Maybe. Bring him to camp? Probably not unless he can get his weight closer to his combine weight (265 pounds). He recently weighed 308 after topping out at 320. He did take my advice though and is participating at Jeff Garcia's QB Academy.
  11. Well here's 9 pages of discussion on that: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/155215-jamarcus-russell-making-a-comeback/page__hl__%20jamarcus%20%20russell
  12. Barkley pulls a 180... http://profootballta...est-of-my-life/ According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Barkley won’t throw at this week’s Scouting Combine. Per Schefter, Barkley “might” run. Which means, of course, that he “might” not. It’s a stark contrast to Barkley’s own words from a week ago, in which he said his injured shoulder had healed sufficiently to allow him to throw. “This is probably the biggest test of my life coming up,” Barkley said. “This is like the SAT times thousands. I hear the whole couple days is a grind. But I am looking forward to that challenge. I am excited about it.”
  13. Not exactly. You said something about watching his balls drop…not that there's anything wrong with that.
  14. I see from your link that Idzik (along with Carroll) was probably instrumental in bringing Jackson to Seattle. It makes sense. Danke.
  15. I wanted the Bills to do what Jeff Fisher did. Now that the Rams have released him, I'm pretty sure the kid needs to get his act straightened out. Typically that means that he has to acknowledge that there is a problem. Reading between the lines, he still doesn't think he has a problem. You can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped.
  16. The only one you haven't mentioned who had a winning record is Wade. The only other one who managed a winning season was Mularkey. Pretty short list for sure.
  17. It looks to me like from a purely athletic standpoint that Tyler Bray has to be put in the "high upside conversation" along with EJ and Geno.
  18. Agree with your hypothesis. On the topic, it's sad to think of how many horrible head coaches the Bills have had.
