  1. In all three games of videotape of Scott, he's under constant pressure and has little time to throw the ball. That has to be taken into account.
  2. Yeah it seems those who want to use Marshawn Lynch as a criticism of the Bills completely omit any mention of the numerous problems he had in Buffalo. There's no question he had to go elsewhere. The only possible criticism of the Bills is whether they could have gotten more for him.
  3. You raise a good point in favor of Ogletree and other LBs with the skills necessary to be 3-down defenders. I was comparing pass rushers more with run stuffers than true 3-down LBs. The thing is, there are not many LBs in the NFL that are not considered liabilities in coverage. Even the great Patrick Willis came under criticism last year for his coverage (which I think is great for a LB). But when it comes to having one linebacker in the game, they go to NaVarro Bowman because he's a superior cover LB. True 3-down LBs are quite hard to find, thus the move towards hybrid LB/DBs like Bryan Scott. I like Adrian Wilson in this kind of role. However Dareus was 319 at the combine. A lot of people feel he'd be more effective slimming back down to increase his quickness as opposed to bulking up.
  4. Than stopping the run? Absolutely. And this is the exact reason why it's absurd to want to draft guys like Ogletree and Te'o ahead of guys like Jordan or Ansah, or a guy like Warmack ahead of one of the top offensive tackles. First and foremost, defenses have to be able to pressure the quarterback and cover the receivers.
  5. Dude I agree the guy should be a skilled lab operator but if you're saying the meth should be produced in the clubhouse, you're crazy, IMO. Remember when Jauron had all those TVs in the weight room? You shouldn't mix work with pleasure. Sorry to be a douche but it's a bad idea.
  6. Sorry if this has already been posted: http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2013/03/10/4-teams-named-as-levitre-suitors/ According to a report by the Tennessean the Tennessee Titans are in pursuit of Levitre with additional reports suggesting the San Diego Chargers and Chicago Bears have also expressed interest. Indianapolis has been mentioned as a team interested in Levitre’s services too. Naturally the Bills are also still vying to retain Levitre before he hits the free agent market officially on Tuesday afternoon. The Chargers interest, which was reported by San Diego Union-Tribune reporter Kevin Acee makes sense for a couple of reasons. Levitre is a native of Santa Cruz, CA and the Chargers also employ Bills former offensive line coach Joe D’Alessandris as their new offensive line coach under new head coach Mike McCoy. D’Alessandris served in the same capacity under former Bills head coach Chan Gailey.
  7. This should probably have its own thread. Also could the mods pin it please?
  8. Any preference as to what school he went to? I would be against your last point. Producing meth is a fire hazard.
  9. Kinda like when Gailey and his staff coached Kelvin Sheppard in the Senior Bowl and fell in love with him?
  10. Thank you both for the feedback. I'm still very undecided about the guy. I know he has talent but it seems there have been more flakes at running back then any other position. Like Matt points out with Maroney, some of these guys implode very quickly.
  11. BTW, what is your view of Stevan Ridley? Curious to know how a knowledgeable New England fan views him?
  12. Pretty sad. I never liked Bayless and I'd be lying if I didn't take some amusement out of this incident but Sherman did not acquit himself very well at all. Sherman said nothing of substance and in this case, showed an inability to engage in anything resembling an intelligent conversation. To Bayless' credit he continued to hold the door open for Sherman. Sherman tried projecting a rational calm but he was being civilly belligerent and low brow at the core of his behavior. Also Sherman made claims and accusations without basis. "I'm better at life than you are?" No one who is truly accomplished at life would ever utter that to another human being. Bayless to his credit brought up several credible points in attempting to steer the conversation back on course but Sherman was too miffed by Bayless' pre-interview comments thus his ad hominem attack. I guess the one conclusion we can draw right now is that Bayless is a bit older and wiser and Sherman needs to grow up a bit.
  13. Fun and spirited OP. There was something brilliant about the inspiration before ny33 cited that technicality. I liked it.
  14. Well at least punt returns aren't impacted. And to add to that, in college 7 of McKelvin's 8 TD returns were punt returns.
  15. /Stunned silence Thanks for the positive affirmations directed at us and the negative ones directed at the fair-weather faction of your fandom. I don't know how many of us visit the discussion forums for our AFC East rivals but it's cool that you dropped in. Of course we hate your team with a vengeance so there's that too. I can't really wish you a good season but thanks again for posting here.
